Sherborne, Burford & surrounding area
When it comes to staying in the Cotswolds, there can be few places more spectacular than Sherborne House - a stunning Manor House surrounded by National Trust land and preserved to perfection. Situated on the first floor and at the front of the Manor, Number 17, Sherborne, is a huge, almost luminous apartment where contemporary elegance and grandeur mix perfectly. Internally, the property has been refreshed following a total refurbishment creating something quite special and unique. The rooms are large and lofty, white-washed to create an airy, modern feel, while the underfloor heating throughout ensures a lovely warm ambiance. The full height windows with their original shutters caught our eye, they let the light flood in and brighten the apartment beautifully while you enjoy the totally uninterrupted views across the grounds. We felt quite 'To The Manor Born!' Lavish bathrooms and an uber-sharp fully kitted kitchen overlooking the internal courtyard complete the package, with everything you could require for a relaxing break.
Add to this use of the shared indoor pool, tennis court and vast groundsthat form part of the 'package' at Sherborne House and you really do have everything you could wish for!

Sherborne village also possesses a wonderful village shop / tea-rooms, where you can buy all your everyday requirements, including a cappuccino and delicious homemade cakes!
Sherborne Manor is a building steeped in history dating back to the 17th Century. Beautifully maintained and today with stunning grounds, an indoor pool plus a tennis court, it is very much a piece of history deep in the Cotswolds. The village within which the Manor sits is largely owned by the National Trust - the cottages and buildings are classic Cotswolds in every respect, with little modern architecture anywhere. The village shop and tea room is a hive of activity and is well worth a visit.
As you would expect there are some of the Cotswolds' best walks in this area, some of which take you along the River Windrush - a truly picturesque spot. The villages that lead along the Windrush Valley are similarly stunning including Windrush (creatively named!), Great and Little Barrington and Farmington in the other direction.
Northleach, which is approx 5 miles away has a small selection of shops, but does have one of the best pubs in the whole of the Cotswolds - The Wheatsheaf which is well worth a visit, but bring your credit card! Burford is approx 7 miles away with its selection of shops and pubs - equally desirable.
There are a host of beautiful villages nearby and similarly local attractions - all of which should keep you busy and occupied.

"The apartment was very well presented. The welcome pack was very good. The beds were comfortable. There was a good supply of all glasses crockery and cutlery."Mr Platt 2017-10-03
" YOUR COMMENT HERE: We had the most wonderful time. We were hugely impressed with all the apartment and location offered. The place was faultless. We found the residents very welcoming and felt very at ease. The access to the grounds, pool and tennis court were such a bonus and we couldn't believe that such a place was available as a holiday let. It was a real treat and we will be returning.
