Bridge Studio
Description
A peaceful detached barn conversion in the pretty village of Bishopstone, in the Broad Chalke Valley.
Beautifully decorated to a high standard and offering bright and airy open plan living space, this is superb rural retreat for a couple.
Upon entering Bridge Studio there is a small entrance area which leads you to the contemporary galleried living area, a relaxing space where you can kick off your shoes and warm up in front of the woodburner after a long walk. There is a well-appointed, bespoke kitchen located to the other side of the room where you both can prepare heart-warming meals to enjoy at the farmhouse style dining table.
Upstairs, you can rest and recharge in the sleigh bed before another day exploring. There is an additional bed in the gallery area should you wish to bring an extra guest. A bathroom completes Bridge Studio.
To the outside of the accommodation there is a brick-paved terrace where you can sip a glass of wine whilst heating the barbecue, and a lawned garden beyond.
If you’d like to make your visit even more memorable, you’re warmly invited to enjoy a fun, beginner‑friendly pottery session on the wheel during your stay — a relaxed, creative experience that’s perfect for anyone wanting to try something new.
The owner can also arrange comforting, home‑cooked meals for you. Each dish is lovingly prepared in advance, frozen for freshness, and placed ready in your freezer for you to warm up on arrival — the perfect way to settle in or deal after a busy day of exploring or crafting.
Bishopstone is ideally situated in a renowned area of outstanding natural beauty popular with cyclists because of the easy access to the nearby Wiltshire Cycleway. Just six miles from the cathedral city of Salisbury, you are close to a wealth of historic attractions and independent shops and restaurants. Further afield, you are within easy driving distance to Stonehenge, Wilton House, Longleat and one hour from the Jurassic Coast.
An excellent romantic base for a holiday in Wiltshire.

What guests are saying
Arrival and first appearances were excellent, a really welcoming chat with a genuinely lovely owner and the sponge cake and milk on arrival were such a kind gesture.
The living room felt homely, and the kitchen had everything we needed, however a few small things let it down: the fridge door trays and cutlery drawer needed a clean, the plug sockets and shelves were dusty, and the cream settee had stains that were quite noticeable, particularly with the throws not quite big enough to cover the whole settees. The bed was very comfortable with clean white sheets but the wardrobe was very small and a bit awkward to use as it was built into the eve and without a light. The wooden cupboard drawers had dust or disintegrating wood inside, so we couldn’t use them. We were only provided with two toilet rolls, two hand towels and two bath towels, a bit difficult to manage as there were two bathrooms. Had we been made aware of the limited position in the description we would have taken some spares with us and this wouldn't have been an issue at all. The location was wonderfully quiet with lots of good restaurants within easy driving distance. We also pre-ordered a lasagne from the meal offerings before we arrived, this was waiting (frozen) for us and was amazing and would definitely recommend this as an eating option after a long day out. So generally a friendly place, centrally located for all the tourist stuff, with a great host, just possibly in need of a little extra attention to housekeeping.
The Studio is well presented with many quirky features.
It's set in the garden of the owners property with lots of lovely walks nearby. ( Bring your own coffee, kitchen towel and hand wash as these were not provided.) A delicious cake and jug of milk waited for us on arrival, which was much appreciated. We had a great stay.
Bridge Studio is a beautiful place to stay in a gorgeous part of Wiltshire.
The accommodation is comfortable, spacious and has everything you need for a relaxing stay. Loads of walks nearby too. Alice and Mike, the owners, are right nearby if you need them, but the property is private and quiet. We rarely stay at the same place twice, but this is our second stay at Bridge Studio because we love it so much!
