“Unfortunately the first thing we noticed were numerous dead flies on window sills and floor.”
Lovely touch with the chocolate cake.Very comfortable bed. Good flow of water from shower but cubicle had black mould around bottom of screen. Bath safety mat was disgustingly brown and mouldy. Upstairs toilet not too clean under rim. Having said that we were out all day most days and it was a peaceful place to relax in evenings.

Alan “Beautiful barn conversion in a lovely village ideal for exploring the surrounding area.”
We visited Salisbury cathedral, Stonehenge and Shaftesbury and had a wonderful time. The facilities were great and we managed to cook Christmas dinner . Plus there was a lovely walk to take our little dog on and stop off at the pub. Alice was very helpful and was available if we needed anything. A great Christmas break

Charlotte “The accommodation was lovely.”
Very comfy with everything you need. The location is good, downside is that the local pub can only be accessed in the evening by a very dark road with no pavement which didn’t suit us with baby. The hosts were very ‘on hand’ when we had problems lighting the fire and when we needed more fire lights which was lovely of them. They had also equipped us with a travel cot and highchair for baby which really helped us to not have to pack as much. Thanks for a lovely stay in a lovely village ❤️

Roger “We had a good stay despite freezing weather to start with (the Log Burner warmed up the main living area) and then very wet and windy weather afterwards.”
We did however manage to get out and about, and the property was a comfortable retreat from the weather!

In a good position for exploring the Salisbury area. The cottage is well equipped for a short stay. The settees are very deep, thank you for providing multiple cushions to make it more comfy. We enjoyed the DVD selection in the evenings, and admired Alice’s pottery.

A great welcome of a ready to light wood fire, a beautiful chocolate cake and a cosy atmosphere was created. We toured around the area from Lepe to Windsor. Having many drives through the New Forest we certainly have so many great memories of our stay at The Little Bridge Studio. Alice and Mike were there if we needed anything and cannot thank them enough.

The barn is very peaceful with only the sound of the near by river and birdsong. The barn is very cosy with the lovely log burner and plenty of logs available to purchase. Alice the owner was very helpful and kind. We would recommend this barn particularly for dog owners due to the enclosed garden and the lovely country walks.

Rhodri “The property is spacious and provides a relaxing atmosphere.”
The cooking facilities are well equipped and made cooking a breeze. The shower is lovely with the water heating up almost immediately. However, there is a smoke detector right outside of the bathroom and the steam from the shower sets it off very easily. The general cleanliness of the place was lacking - lots of cobwebs (in doorways and windows), bugs, hair on the shower head and the towels smelt damp and musty, which meant we had to wash them thoroughly before we were comfortable to use them. A hoover would have been handy, and a few extra mugs. (Most of the crockery was chipped).

Sarah “Bridge Studio is the perfect place in a beautiful setting.”
Alice and Mike made us feel so welcome, including a scrumptious chocolate cake on arrival! The Studio was immaculate and beautifully furnished. Plenty of walks right outside the door, including a stream running across the bottom of the garden. A number of places state they are dog friendly, but the Studio really was- the garden was completely secure so no worries there. It is the ideal place for sightseeing and it was a delight coming back in the evenings ( and a log burner for when it’s chilly!) We so did not want to leave! We rarely go back to the same place, we like seeing different places, but I think we will be with Bridge Studio. Cannot recommend it enough :)

David “This is a lovely self contained studio on the owners property.”
We felt immediately at home; the welcome sponge was excellent. Lots of local walks for us and the dog with a lot more further afield. Local pub had excellent food and was made very welcome. The studio amenities were more than enough for 2 people. We will go back when we next want a week away, lots more to explore in the future.

The owners live next door & were very friendly & helpful. The surrounding countryside is lovely, we visited in the winter so not enough daylight to enjoy the local walks as we visited the wider area. It was a great location to explore Wiltshire, Hampshire & Dorset. I would certainly return to this property.

Well stocked kitchen with every you need and a lovely cake on the table. Only very small thing is the Tv is quite old and when it rained signal was very patchy. We would have liked to use our fire stick to have cosy movie night but old tv wasn’t compatible. The walk to queens head was worth it . A lovely stay thanks.

Trevor “Great accommodation in a lovely location, peace and quiet and lots of wonderful walks on the doorstep, yet within easy reach of major towns and attractions, we even hired a self-drive canal boat for the day on the Kennet and Avon canal at Devizes.”
The owners are very friendly and helpful, and dog lovers, that's always a good sign. Wonderful place to stay for a couple and to top it off only a short stroll to the local pub where food is available. Would recommend and will be returning in the near future.

There is also no signage for Bridge Studio so you may want to tell customers to look out for the Little Bridge House on the owner's house which is visible when driving on the road.

Lovely flowers and cake on our arrival. Lots of good walks directly from the property. We enjoyed watching the bat's on the small walk back from the local friendly pub. Owners were brilliant and there when we needed them especially when a load of wood was delivered a week early right to our front door. It was soon cleared not that it was in our way. We would be very happy to book again for sometime in the future.

! We stayed at Bridge Studio for a week. We couldn’t of asked for a better location. Bridge Studio itself is gorgeous and very quaint, with all the little touches, cake and flowers on arrival....Yum!!! Lovely hosts, knew they were there for us, if needed! Weather was awful for one day but this didn’t ruin our experience, instead we had a very chilled day on the very comfy sofa’s, the lighting made it feel very cosy! Good nights sleep in a very comfortable bed, towels so soft and fluffy! Everything we needed, was there for us! Would definitely recommend, will be returning for a cosy winter break!

It's in a lovely setting right beside the river Ebble and is spacious, light and airy and very comfortable. The wood burning stove is a real asset for chilly spring evenings. We loved visiting the other beautiful villages in the Chalke Valley.

I think we were the first guests and we were delighted with our choice. The cottage is comfortable, well-equipped and stylish. The owners were very helpful and left us a great welcome pack including a delicious cake. The wood burner was a real asset as were the two bathrooms. The cottage is well situated for country walks and places to visit, being close to Wilton, Salisbury and Stonehenge . We will definitely return.

Mr & Mrs Littlehales “This is the first opportunity we have had since returning home from our holiday of writing to you to thank you so much for a wonderful cottage which was the foundation of our holiday and for making us welcome on our arrival.”
The darkness at night was quite a shock from our usual surroundings, as were the early morning bird calls: 4am - up with the birds and 11pm watching the bats in the garden - what an experience! We can't remember our days being quite as long since our children grew up. It has certainly made us think about where we live and how much we would like to move out of town. We had a great time exploring Dorset and most certainly plan to spend more time there in the future - and hopefully using Bridge Studio as our base.

The property
Bridge Studio is an outstanding rural retreat!
Set in a stunning village in the Broad Chalke Valley, it is a quintessential location to enjoy and a place where (we feel) you will be totally relaxed in no time at all.
The property is a converted barn and has been beautifully improved it is packed with attractive features and has a New England style to it with white washed oak flooring and an airy feel to the rooms.
On the ground floor is an open plan living space which is light and bright - and tastefully contemporary, the wood burning stove creates a cosy feel and the view to the garden is relaxing.
Upstairs is a good sized bedroom with sleigh bed, a bathroom plus a day bed for an extra guest.
The property has been thoughtfully designed, with well lit, uncluttered living spaces and good use of natural materials, making this a very desirable base from which to explore this beautiful area.We really like this joyful home, it's cute, romantic and gorgeously located.

The beautiful village of Broad Chalke is situated in the Cranborne Chase Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, in Wiltshire, England. Footpaths, bridleways and cycling routes are right on your doorstep in this charming village, making it popular for outdoor enthusiasts. The village has an 18th century traditional pub and a local village store, and is home to the Grade I listed Parish Church of All Saints dating back to the 13th and 14th century.
