When we arrived the owner was still at the property working on the garden (which our dog loved) The owner was very friendly and welcoming.

The property was clean and well kept with plenty of pots and utensils. The stairs might be tricky for some people being bare wood and turning towards the small landing. They seemed quite steep. It is a property full of character. It is only a short walk to a very welcoming local pub and has a bridlepath running in front of it which went between orchards where we saw Deer and Badger sets. The bridlepath was not busy so we were not disturbed by lots of people passing by. We found plenty to do during the week of our visit. It was a very relaxing, calming place to stay.

Point cottage had lots of character with the beams .

The bed & setee was very comfortable The bedroom was very pretty . The kitchen had a nice gas hob & there was everything you needed except a freezer compartment in the fridge. As there was no freezer you needed a freezer part in the fridge to be able to hold ice blocks for picnics & a little food. We took a picnic most days so I really missed a little freezer. Otherwise everything was very good. The curtains were of a high quality & complemented the style of the cottage. Appreciated the washing up liquid , soap , clingfilm, foil& kitchen roll. Thoughtful owner left torch & spare light bulbs . The cottage was nicely situated in rural countryside with lots of nice places nearby to visit. We had a lovely holiday thank you.

The road next to the property can be busy at rush hour and is noticeable due to the property being right on the road.

It's a lovely property and great having an enclosed garden for the dog! Could have done with dish cloths that was our only negative. The pub is great just down the road. And the cottage is in a good location for travelling around the local area.
