Town Mill

We were a party if 7 friends all in our 60s and 70s.

We had a lovely week at Town Mill, thanks for the welcome basket and flowers. The rooms in the house are very comfortable and the outside space is relaxing to sit out in. There were just a couple of things we wanted to mention, the track to the house was very difficult for two of our cars and the lower of the two staircases proved to be awkward for a couple of our party. If those things had been made clear on the listing it would have been very helpful to us. Thank you for an enjoyable week though.

Also the gardens are fantastic! Our two hounds thoroughly enjoyed chasing eachother endlessly around the grounds, before collapsing in the lounge infront of the fire. The bedrooms were a decent size along with large beds and plenty of storage space. The property had everything we needed, whilst being in a quiet and secluded area. Perfection!

A family get together at Town Mill was thoroughly enjoyed by all.

From the house which was spotlessly clean, the large but warm and cosy lounge, the very comfortable beds, a large dining room, fully equipped kitchen to the wonderful outside space and interesting walks. Very remote but still within easy reach of the local town. Fully recommend this a wonderful place for a family holiday and chill out. The welcome pack and flowers were a nice surprise.

Town Mill is a lovely cottage combining character with practicality, remoteness with convenience.

We spent 6 days at Town Mill over New Year. We have dogs who struggle with fireworks so we wanted accommodation away from other properties. Town Mill is down in the valley and well off the beaten track but only 10 minutes’ drive to the lovely town of Bewdley with its shops, pubs and restaurants so was perfect for us. The garden was large and secure for our medium sized dogs (Patterdale and cocker spaniel) but smaller dogs might get under gates and larger dogs get over fences. The bedrooms are spacious and the beds large. The 4 bathrooms are modern and practical. The stairs to the first floor are a little steep and uneven so not ideal for anyone with mobility issues but there are safety gates top and bottom to keep little ones safe. The cottage is well equipped and tastefully furnished, and was decorated for Christmas which was a nice touch. The welcome pack was fab and Linda was a great host, although we had no cause to contact her other than for key collection and bed/cot make ups. Would highly recommend

Absolutely fantastic.

Easy booking, easy access on day of arrival. The house was clean and comfortable and totally suited our family get together of 8 adults, 2 children and 2 dogs. Great facilities and amenities. Perfect for our birthday celebrations. Location is so peaceful and quiet with great access to Wyre Forrest. Would happily book again.

Our 4th visit already booked for next year ,it is a lovely place to stay very comfortable and also such a peaceful place love waking up to the owls calling everyday.

The hosts were some of the nicest and most accommodating we have had.

We celebrate with all the family once a year for a joint birthday and we were made to feel very at home, taken care of and even pampered. A lovely welcome gift for our celebrations was very thoughtful. The walks through the woods are incredible, the property has everything you need to feed a large group of people, the rooms are beautiful and comfy and it is great for pets, as there is a contained garden. Couldn’t have asked for anything more.

We had a fantastic week at Town Mill with 3 generations staying together in this lovely rural location.

The property layout suited our needs perfectly, with 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms, ample car parking and a private fenced garden, woods and a stream to explore within the grounds. It was very well equipped for families with children's toys, travel cot, high chairs, stair gates, a washing machine and tumble dryer. There's so much to see and do in the local area, as well as walking directly from the property onto the Wyre Valley cycle path through the woods. We went on the Severn Valley Steam Train, visited National Trust properties, the Wyre Forest and local arboretums. I'd definitely recommend this wonderful tranquil place and would love to return.

Amazing place.

Very comfortable. Short of nothing. Grounds fantastic. A little more description on the track and exact location would be helpful espically in the dark.

What an amazing house and location.

We had a multi-generational long weekend and it was perfect for all ages, from the woodland walks, paddling and playing in the stream to just chilling in the lovely big lounge with wood burner. Welcomed with a generous basket of goodies and homemade apple pie. So thoughtful Would highly recommended and will be back!

Town Mill is a beautiful place to stay.

Very clean and very comfortable. Patio and garden was a lovely treat for all, even the dog Thor. I would say it was one of the best places we have stayed at if not the best, and also a lovely welcome pack and flowers in dining room. Thank you Linda and your husband for a cracking holiday.

Had a lovely three generation stay at Town Mill.

Wonderful cottage in the woods; walks from the door, wildlife all around. Able to walk to the river Severn and then to Bewdley. Lovely welcome pack and really well equipped, clean and wonderful comfy beds with good quality bedding. A great stay for us all, refreshingly no rules posted around- unlike some we have stayed in, thankyou for trusting us to treat your home with care, highly recommend.

Absolutely fabulous house.

We stay in house with family at least 3 times a year and whilst they're all lovely, this is one of the few we would go back to again. The location was just fantastic. A couple of us walked into the forest every evening. You can go in different directions and the forest is stunning. The little stream in front of the house is beautiful and my daughter went down there most days. The house itself was spotlessly clean and the owners had thought of everything, also leaving a lovely welcome basket. We would definitely go there again.

Lovely cottage in the perfect place. Nice to wake up to the sound of nothing except the singing of birds. The dogs loved the garden as there was so much room and we didn't have to worry about them running away. BEAUTIFUL PLACE. Thank you for letting us stay.

We had an excellent family holiday at Town Mill.

The welcome basket of goodies was exceptional. It was lovely to walk in out of the cold into the bright sitting room with a log fire burning. Everything was of an excellent quality and the beds very comfortable. The owners were very helpful especially when we had a problem with the fuse. Also the removal of the tree on exit! Thankfully no one hurt. Many thanks. Hopefully we will return sometime and do the things we didn’t get time for this time.

The Mill was a great place to stay.

We enjoyed a week getting together as a family. We particularly enjoyed being able to walk in the beautiful forest from the doorstep. It was very cosy and we liked the log fire. The beds were very comfortable and it was well equipped for a crawling baby and a dog!

We stayed at Town Mill as a group of 9 friends for 3 nights and had a fantastic time.

Sat nav and directions provided by the owner took us right to the property nestled in beautiful woods. It felt very private and there was plenty of room for parking for our 6 cars. Inside the property was lovely - the lounge was wonderfully cosy and great for sitting and chatting, and the dining room gave us space to eat and play games. The bedrooms were comfortable and the beds were made up as singles, as we requested (not always a given), and the bathrooms were clean and modern, which is exactly what you want. We didn't have the weather to sit outside in the garden but there was plenty of seating and a bbq ready to go. The owner was quick to respond to emails and left us to it, which is great. Owners can sometimes demand a lot of guests and, I feel, forget that you're paying customers, but the owner here seemed to just want us to enjoy our break, which is lovely. All in all, highly recommended.

A lovely stay in a comfortable house for our 40th anniversary.

Great size bedrooms especially those that had children. Lovely outdoor space for sitting outside and space for the children to run around. Very peaceful. Lovely to have an open fire too! All needs catered for and everything available to make a great self catering venue for our family

This is the second time we have stayed at Town Mill and once again we really enjoyed it.

My grandchildren were hoping we were going to suprise them and say we would be staying another week as they didn't want to go home. The grounds are great lots of open space for the children to run safely and they really love the stream at the bottom were they would go paddling. I cant recommend Town Mill enough it really is a magical place to stay

What a wonderful place full of character.

Very secluded but with easy walks into Bewdley. Lots of walks nearby and the pub up the road provided lovely meals. We were 7 adults ( 2 generations) and a dog. The gardens were thoroughly enjoyed by all! Linda was great to deal with and provided a wonderful welcome basket which was gratefully received. Would definitely return.

Fabulous place, remote and yet a few miles from attractive town of Bewdley.

Fantastic walks on the doorstep and a real place to just hill out. We were so lucky with the weather and had virtually every meal outside. Lovely touch with generous welcome basket. Thank you.

We found the place to be perfect for our gathering.

The welcome hamper provided us with tea and cake after our journey and was a lovely touch, along with the fresh flowers . The rooms were light (upstairs and down) and it really is very spacious and comfortable. The morning sun on the property, coupled with birdsong, was idyllic. There are lots of places in the garden to sit and dine. We had terrific weather, so we didn't get to use the wood burner in the lounge. However, it looked cosy and would be ideal after a long winter walk. The dining room was perfect for our evening meals. We didn't use our cars at all during our stay and enjoyed walking in the forest by the river and into Bewdley. It was the perfect location.

Nowhere on the description was it stated that the property is accessed via a tiny, narrow, woodland track, that is not suitable for large cars.

This is problematic as Sykes does not provide adequate, material information for customers to adjudge if the property is suitable for their needs.

We had questions prior to our arrival and Linda was quick to reply.

The accuracy of the listing was spot on. In fact, it exceeded our expectations. The directions were very accurate although you begin to wonder where on earth you are going until the house appears before you and you immediately know you've arrived!! The house is very well equipped. We arranged a Tesco delivery for our weeks' stay and although there was a fridge/freezer it was a bit of a tight fit to get sufficient food for 8 people in the fridge. The welcome pack was greatly appreciated. We had a few hiccups, (not the owners fault) power failure, heating loss but the owners were very proactive getting out sorted. The garden space and the brook was loved by the children(of all ages!) Comfy garden chairs would have been nice though inside storage space may be difficult. All the settees were comfy but it would have been good to have some seating that was a bit higher (we had two members of the group who had difficulty getting up). It was an amazing place. We all loved it.

Town Mill is a beautiful comfortable house in a glorious secluded setting and yet only a short walk into Bewdley.

The bedrooms, and especially the number of bathrooms, were ideal for our girls only get together. Will we go again? I hope so!

First impressions.

....Wow! Town Mill was absolutely amazing. It was all we hoped for and more. The house was spotlessly clean and had everything we needed. The welcome pack was the best I had ever seen as it had everything we needed and more. The garden was out of this world. Lots of room for our three grandchildren to run about in. The barbeque was fab and we had great fun toasting marshmallows on the fire pit. It was so tranquil and listening to nothing but the stream that ran at the back of the house was lovely. It was a fantastic week and I would definitely recommend Town Mill.

Very secluded and very beautiful location. The gardens were fully enclosed so perfect for children. BBQ and fire pit for the evenings. The house is lovely. So comfortable, clean and very high quality furnishings and bedding. Great communication from Linda the owner, she was really helpful with all our queries. We’ll definitely book again!

Large grassy lawn for children to play games/run around on. Spectacular secluded location in the Wyre Forest with plenty of walks available. An easy 40 minute walk to Bewdley through the forest and along the River Severn. An ideal house for a family holiday.

This was our second holiday in Town Mill and it was absolutely wonderful.

The Wyre Forest is great for exploring with a delightful walk into Bewdley. The house is very comfortable and well appointed and the garden quiet and peaceful; a great find.

Town mill ticked all the boxes it is a beautiful cottage my only criticism is the check In time and check out time .

I contacted the landlord and she kindly let us go In a bit earlier, I do feel 4.30pm and even 5 on the information is far too late and 9.00 am on check out too early bearing in mind it is really suited to families staying there and can be very challenging getting out on time..

Absolutely lovely property however I do feel that you should update the photo of the house which indicates a lawn in front of the house.

I accept that the flood wall is a necessity but the photo with the lawn is misleading.

Lovely cottage in beautiful surroundings.

So cosy sitting by the lovely log fireplace whilst snowing outside. Lovely that the old cottage has retained its original features but each bedroom has a lovely modern bathroom. Hope we can come again.

Had a wonderful weekend away with friends, house is comfortable and beds/bathrooms all work well.

We went to stay at this beautiful cottage for my mum's 70th birthday.

When we arrived the owner Linda had left us a lovely welcome basket with wine and cake etc which was a lovely touch. The cottage is very well equipped and the log burner in the lounge was very comforting. The location is beautiful and there are lots of nice walks you can go on. It's also very close to Bewdley Town which is very pretty too. Linda was extremely helpful and got back to you straight away with any queries that we had. My only little comment would be that the cooker is very slow and it's not clear how to get it working to start with! Maybe useful to leave instructions for the cooker and the TV? We would highly recommend staying at this property, especially if you are looking for some piece and quiet. It was lovely in the evening to listen to the babbling Brook and also the sounds of nature and to completely relax and unwind.

The most wonderful, magical stay.

On entrance to the house the lovely wood burner had been lit for our arrival so it was lovely and toasty for all of us. Would love to come back to this house as it was so private and peaceful. Beautiful surroundings and a really lovely property. 10/10.

Really great place to stay with excellent bedrooms and bathrooms.

Owner was very helpful and friendly. Quite exciting as it's in a forest down a lane/bridle path. Not ideal to venture out in the dark until you have your bearings although not impossible. Suggest better to have provisions for the 1st night. Great area to walk. Lots of wildlife, deer and even a kingfisher. Enjoyable walk to Bewdley from cottage. Suggest you take a detailed map as mobile signal weak in some walking areas, good for an adventure walk.

The Town Mill was a lovely home from home.

We had a lovely time with our family a wonderful place to get together. We sat around the dinning table every night with a meal made in a very well equipped kitchen, then relaxed in front of a cosy wood fire. The place was spotless, the beds sooo comfortable which made such a difference to our stay The setting is amazing so much to enjoy, the woods, Bewdly and more. The owners were so helpful and friendly with a lovey welcome basket of goodies.

Great accommodation and well set up for having our 14 month old grandson with us. Travel cot, stair gates, high chair, even Duplo which he loved playing with !! Only issue was the oven was quite confusing and difficult to operate without a manual to help. We had a lovely family weekend at the property which everyone enjoyed. The lovely sitting room space with the wood burner made for cosy evenings, and great dog walking in the Wyre forest which is literally on the door step. We appreciated on arrive finding fresh flowers and a welcome pack which undoubtedly had been personally geared towards our Ruby wedding anniversary celebrations. A lovely touch from our hosts.

Driving down a forest track you come to a secluded house that is, unbelievably, barely five minutes from the little town of Bewdley.

The peaceful setting, the sound of the brook, the trees, the sounds of the birds, the dark skies - all would be difficult to better without the need to travel to a much more isolated area. Very comfortably furnished, greeted by the glow of a wood-burning stove and a welcome basket of bottles of wine and cake - and beautiful fresh flowers - the house could not have been more welcoming. Like all old houses it does have its foibles. In this case, some very steep stairs and the need for some of our party to duck when walking through the downstairs doorways; but this was more than offset by the things we enjoyed inside and out.

Does more than it says on the tin!! Very clean and excellent throughout. Very nice period cottage/house, with modern on suite rooms. Great space outdoors for walks through the valley and woods Couldn't fault it in anyway.

It is so well equipped and it’s location in the Wyre Forest by a babbling brook is magical. We love the huge garden -plenty of room for energetic games. Linda and Rob are excellent owners - on hand if needed .

Everything thought of that you may need. We had a great time exploring the outside space, bug hunting was a great success especially the crayfish found in the river! 3 generations enjoyed our stay immensely. Fantastic area, local pub very dog and children friendly. BBQ and fire pit enjoyed by all. Will definitely return, thank you.

Our family like cooking and we found a lack of large casserole dishes for cooking in the oven.

An insignificant lack was no sherry glasses and more breakfast fruit juice glasses would be appreciated. Everything else was fantastic and we had a wonderful time.

Stunning location with four bedrooms plus four bathrooms ideally suited our three-generation's mid-summer multi-birthdays celebration weekend!

Everybody - 21 to 83 - managed the stroll to Bewdley, and the walk up the valley to the next NT mill, with some of us venturing further uphill! Big picnic table in the garden was a lovely spot for early morning cuppas and afternoon tea with the tasty cake and fizz provided - thank you! Dining room a great size for the meals we created ourselves and can highly recommend The Little Pack Horse in Bewdley for an evening meal. We were aware of the steep staircase and shared out the bedrooms accordingly - octogenarians on the first floor! Be careful holding the balustrade as you pass the stairgate fittings

Wonderful property in a picturesque location.

The bedrooms and en-suite bathrooms perfectly suit a large party (as we were) as you each felt you had privacy and space from the others in your party. The garden is lovely - plenty of room for the kids to run around and play games in, and we enjoyed walks straight from the house.

Amazing place to stay.

We really enjoyed it. The owners were really helpful when we had a question. All round great service. I could highly recommend it.

This is a wonderfully secluded Mill but you will need to be fit to walk back up the hill into Bewdley or adventurous to tackle the route back along the river in the dark.

Couldn't fault the accommodation as long as you are ok with stairs. Really helpful owners and the company handled a prepandemic booking well when we finally arrived 2 years later.

Town Mill didn't dissapoint as soon as we arrived, the house looked lovely from the outside, when we opened the door even though its a big house it was warm and cosy.

There was everything in the house you would need, it was well presented everything was clean and tidy all the beds are comfortable. Outside is peaceful the sound of the Brook and many birds, plenty of outside seating and a fire pit.There are alot of walks from the doorstep there are alot of towns we visited. We loved our holiday and we hope we will be able to stay there again.

Perfect for us as a family .

A clean and welcoming home with cake on arrival , log fire burning , So pretty . If you like privacy then this is for you. The owners have built a flood wall to protect the property from the adjacent river, this didn't effect the beauty of the place . On still days , yet cold days, the log fire may not draw to produce a constant burn , but the cental heating was extremely quick in heating up the 3 floors. The owners provide fire logs for inside and the fire pit outside , a nice way to enjoy the evening . We could happily recommend this property .

This is a delightful place to stay.

It is very comfortable, warm and in a beautiful setting. Lovely walks from the doorstep. The owners left a lovely welcome pack and have thought if everything their guests might need. Guests should be prepared for a bumpy access road but when you arrive, there's plenty of parking.

We had a wonderful stay at Town Mill at the weekend.

Lovely warm inviting house, really comfortable beds and well equipped kitchen. Just perfect, we had a really special time with our extended family. Highly recommend this property! Many thanks. Our only minor comments would be that the only TV is a bit small and not ideally positioned and there needs to be a bigger or additional recycling bin as it was already full when we arrived. These things did not affect our enjoyment but we felt worth mentioning.

Town Mill is a hidden gem and obviously a much loved family house.

The location was stunning and we managed to walk every day exploring the many paths and tracks in the Wyre Forest. The house was extremely comfortable and beautifully appointed; the ensuites a real asset. We arrived to a blazing log fire and treats left by Linda, who made sure everything was absolutely perfect for us all. We will certainly return to Town Mill in the future.

Was the most beautiful moments I have ever had in my life and that was not because of the people I have been with(I love them all with all my heart ) but the heaven I found in the middle of the forest.

I felt back home for a while... the house, the vibe, the birds trill, the clean and fresh air and much more, brought us all to our childhood... We enjoyed EVERYTHING, even the fact that there is no signal on the phone made our stay more memorable because we couldn't be disturbed ...Absolutely fantastic!!! Cant wait to go back again!! Town Mill was an absolutely perfect for our stay.

The house was spotlessly clean and well equipped. The huge grounds gave us endless opportunity to explore and enjoy the outdoors. We didn't leave once during the weekend. The owners was brilliantly accommodating, catered for everything we needed and had fantastic communication. I cannot recommend highly enough!

Very well equipped, so clean, so peaceful. Wonderful paths to explore from the front door, a big garden to play in and a brook to paddle in.Our third visit - have just booked our fourth!!

Town Mill and it’s surroundings are fabulous.

Set in a beautiful area surrounded by gorgeous woods and a large enclosed garden. The house is exceptionally clean and well equipped. We will be back again. The place is so relaxing and Bewdley itself is lovely So many walks right on your doorstep too

Our stay at Town Mill was AMAZING.

We were 6 girls on our annual uni reunion (graduated 2015-18) and WOW - we knew from the moment we pulled up that this was a winner. Absolutely perfect. 4 big bedrooms with massive super king beds, a firepit, a BBQ, lots of chairs for outside (that we'd occasionally move out to sit near the brook and catch the evening sun), big table inside and lovely big comfy sofas in the living room. Linda had thought of everything e.g. enough prosecco and wine glasses for the whole group, firelighters, even a cake and prosecco on arrival! We did a fantastic canoe trip with hireacanoe.com from Hampton Loade to Bewdley and walked into the town along the river on Saturday for a meal at The Mug House (which has a fab beer garden out the back). Would also really recommend looking at the local walks on AllTrails apps - really easy to get to from the house. In summary, it was the perfect place to spend our summer reunion weekend and we are super keen already to come back next year!! Thank you Linda!

Lovely cottage in a great location.

Everything we needed to have a lovely stay. Could benefit from a child’s swing or slide but apart from that I couldn’t fault it. Lovely place and would happily stay again

A beautiful spacious and characterful country cottage nestled in the Wyre Forest by a babbling brook .

When we arrived the log fire was crackling and there was cake and Prosecco waiting to be demolished ! The cottage is full of charm and set in its own private and substantial grounds. The bedrooms are particularly large and the beds very comfortable. Imagine waking up to spectacular bird song every morning ! We were very lucky with the weather too as we had blue skies and glorious sunshine every day. An idyllic experience at Town Mill . This was a truly special stay

Lovely remote location, lots of walks around house.

Loved watching the masses of birds. The house is spotless. The huge fire was made up 4 us. The beds were comfortable. Lots of space to chill. Was a nice touch of fresh flowers, chocolate cake, milk & wine, was lovely long weekend. Just be careful on steep stairs. Definitely will be going back

The standard of this cottage is exceptional with high quality fixtures and fittings and fantastic size rooms.

The stairs are quite steep, which is fine for the majority of people, but maybe a problem for not so abled. The road down is narrow and for our low car was a little tricky, but that is a very minor point. It is beautifully maintained and in a stunning location, I would highly recommend.

We were a group of four ladies celebrating a 70th birthday.

Town Mill was a lovely comfortable base for our little holiday. The accommodation was great, we had a lovely bedroom and bathroom each which is quite a luxury. The location of the property is fantastic, it feels like a Hansel and Gretal house on the edge of the forest, surrounded by trees and birds. Unfortunately because of Covid there were no games which wouldn’t have been a problem had we known as we could have taken our own but that is a very small negative. Overall a lovely property in a great location.

Paul and Linda provide everything you could possibly want (including wine and cake!) in this oasis of calm away from the "madding" Covid world that is our present lot.

This is our second time staying here and we have already booked for next year.

We arrived to a lovely gift of wine and home made cake, the house was spotless and just as we remembered. We had an amazing family holiday, lots of lovely walks with the dogs and evenings by the fire. The Hop Hole Pub has recently been taken over, this is just over a mile walk (up hill) from the property, doggy friendly and a great place to sit have a drink and chat, we ate here once and the food was great. Highly recommend this house, please note there is no phone signal and the WIFI signal was patchy when we were there.

This cottage is beautiful, charming and extremely well equipped.

We had a wonderful pre-Christmas get away with the family. It is impeccably clean, all of the bedrooms are well proportioned with their own en-suites. The living room is cosy and there is lovely big dining room so we could sit down and enjoy a meal together. The property also has a downstairs loo, which meant we didn't have to disturb the kids when they had gone to bed and we were enjoying a pre-Christmas tipple downstairs. The owners are lovely and extremely helpful and accommodating, lighting the fire for our arrival and leaving us with a generous welcome pack for our arrival. The location is lovely and rural, located away from the hustle and bustle in Wyre Forest. We are very much looking forward to our next stay. Thank you so much.

Track down to cottage very bumpy. Everything in the cottage you need, very comfortable beds , nice bathroom areas.Elderly or walking difficulties might have problem with narrow footings on staircase.Lovey large dining table also.Would recommend

The kitchen had an excellent range of equipment. The flowers cake and wine were much appreciated. The wood burning stove was fantastic and so cosy. The beds were extremely comfortable and the bathrooms were luxurious. Thanks for a great stay.

It’s the best equipped and cosiest cottage we’ve ever stayed in. There are plenty of forest walks leading from the front door and also plenty of places to visit in the area if you want to venture out.

Beautiful tranquil situation within the forest - Town Mill is spacious, extremely well equipped and appointed - the welcome with flowers, cake,coffee and wine particularly appreciated after a long journey negotiating the M5/M6 roadworks on a Friday afternoon.

Vast array of walks / cycle tracks from the cottage itself. A wonderful situation, away from all the hustle & bustle of every day living. in which to enjoy our family celebration. We would highly recommend.

We had an awesome holiday here at Town Mill.

The owners had thought about everything you could possibly need, making it a real 'home from home'. We have never experienced such a generous welcome pack of cake, coffee, milk, flowers and wine - it was all very much appreciated, thank you. The house was spotless and the garden beautiful. We loved nothing more than sitting in the everso peaceful garden listening to the birds and babbling brook and watching the golden (never seen before) dragonflies, darting around us. We really enjoyed feeding the birds - seeing birds we've not seen in a long time. The kitchen was very well equipped and all the beds were very comfy. The bathrooms were to die for and the lounge was also very comfortable. It was great to have a big dining table to fit the 8 of us around. We used the provided bbq one night, followed by the fire pit. There are amazing walks all around the property and even though we did venture into Bewdley, Bridgnorth, Ludlow and Kidderminster for days out, we could quite happily have stayed within the area of the cottage and explored our surroundings. A trip on the Severn Valley railway was perfect. Our dogs really enjoyed their time here too and were really unimpressed when it was time to go! We were 2 families with ages ranging from 17 to 58 and everyone had a wonderful holiday. We would love to come back one day.

This is an extremely comfortable cottage with well proportioned rooms, plenty of en suites and luxurious bedding.

Town Mill is a fantastic property in a fantastic location.

It is secluded but close to the lovely town of Bewdley. The house is very well equipped and extremely comfortable. We took six children four of whom are boys. They loved the brook that runs through the extensive land attached to the property. We had an amazing week and couldn't have asked for more from the property. Many thanks.

Lovely big old house in a stunning location right in the middle of a forest isolated from the hustle and bustle.

Perfect location to catch up with friends. The kids and dogs loved exploring the lovely garden and surrounding areas. We had a nice little walk into Bewdley too which had some lovely pubs down by the river. On arrival we received 2 bottles of wine and some cake from the owner which was a lovely touch! Nice big fluffy towels and everything you could need was readily available too. The only downside was it had very small doorways and quite low ceilings especially in some of the en suites and as quite a tall party we had a few bumped heads over the weekend but it wouldn’t stop us rebooking town mill as we had such a wonderful time. Thank you

Town Mill is a very comfortable and well equipped cottage. The location is second to none, we wanted to get away to a very relaxing place- and this was it! Local wildlife included Kingfishers and a wading Heron meandering slowly upstream to the cottage grounds. The owners left a lovely welcome pack too. The walks from the cottage were just terrific, our dogs very impressed! So good we booked next year's holiday here during our stay..

Town Mill was fantastic.

We chose it because as a group of 8 adults, a toddler and an infant the accommodation offered was perfect for us. The rooms were large and light and there were plenty of bathrooms. The house was clean and well equipped for all our needs and the owner was very helpful on responding to our many questions. The starter pack was very generous and everything was very easy to find. We loved the setting and the gardens too.

The cottage was really lovely, warm and welcoming; with everything at a high standard of provision. The setting, in Wyre Forest, meant it really was a unique experience, with wildlife on the doorstep. The owners worked hard in the background to make the stay 100% successful.

Lovely walks and easy woodland walk to Bewdley ( but not if disabled). Immaculate house and very lovely owners who made us most welcome.

This cottage is perfect for large groups.

There are plenty of seats in the lounge and dining chairs at the beautiful dining table. We all loved watching the squirrels pinch the food from the bird table while we were sitting having our breakfast, looking out into the garden. The kitchen was well equipped, we weren’t short of anything. The bedrooms are all nicely decorated and each had its own en-suite or had use of main bathroom so no one had to share which was nice. We couldnt fault anything. The owner is very helpful when getting information about key collection and she left us wine, chocolates, Easter eggs, milk and a lovely cake for us all to share. Brilliant.

The accommodation exceeded our expectations.

On arrival we had Cake and wine waiting for us. The owners had thought of everything including all cleaning materials, washing up liquid and washing powder, books and maps on the area. The rooms were well furnished and the bedrooms were superb. The house is set in fantastic woodlands and is very quiet. The log burner made for a very comfy relaxing week away. I would highly recommend this accommodation to anyone who is looking for a relaxing getaway.

There was plenty of room for the ten people in our party plus one dog and we thoroughly enjoyed staying at Town Mill.

We had been warned about the stream but while we were there it was a fast flowing river not stream. We enjoyed seeing all the different wild birds and hearing owls in the evening.

The Town Mill cottage was in a fairly isolated spot in the Wyre Forest beside a largish stream and with only one other house in view.

The price of seclusion was that the last 1/4 mile to the cottage was on a bumpy track - to be taken slowly! The building was originally from the 19c but it was very well presented with high quality modern bathrooms and kitchen, all with good facilities. The rooms were large and the beds all very comfortable. The stairs were quite steep and the hand rails were an essential aid but for a group who were all in their late 60s or early 70s, they presented no problem! Bewdley and Lucknow were both nearby and easily worth a full day visit each. The region around the cottage gave us ample opportunity to walk in the countryside or by the river most days. All in all, an exceptionally good week!

Wonderful location and felt like a home due to the house being in the owners family for years.

Amazing location and cottage.

Might be worth adding there is no phone signal at the house and in addition it's a very rural road for anyone traveling with a low car. House is beautiful and Linda and her husband couldn't do enough for us - already booked for next year. Highlight for my mum was the bird table - she spent so much time watching the amazing variety of birds. Great for our dogs and incredibly relaxing.

Town Mill was very cosy and welcoming very well equipped - everything you would expect to have at home from a very well equipped kitchen (plenty of saucepans crockery,cutlery, dishwasher,slow cooker) cosy fireside sofas with warm throws, Toys/books to entertain the kids, spotless and efficient showers in the en-suite bathrooms, comfortable bedrooms and situated in lovely garden in the beautiful Wyre Forest with abundant wildlife.

Owners have gone that extra mile to make visitors welcome from having a roaring fire and welcoming lamps on in the living room and Choc cake, wine and milk in the fridge on arrival. We all had a fantastic time and have come home relaxed and refreshed with happy memories.

We all had such a wonderful weekend we booked it straight back up again for January 2020 x 100% recomend this cottage felt totally relaxed and didn't want to come home.

This is a wonderfully presented and clearly well cared for house in a quiet forest setting that offers a good location for touring as well as plenty of walks and cycle routes in the forest itself.

Accommodation was very clean, spacious and extremely well equipped for guests of all sizes! Although the property is of a good size it was still cosy. Lovely little extra touches which helped make the stay even more perfect. Although accommodation is set in a quiet location a beautiful town is very close by, for all amenities. Beautiful and comfortable cottage in lovely surroundings.

The owners had taken trouble over the little things, which in themselves might not seem important but help to create a homely atmosphere and make the holiday go smoothly. For example, plenty of wood provided for the wood burner, tissue boxes in all the bedrooms, a sharp vegetable knife (my particular bugbear in many cottages!) and a selection of maps and books relevant to the Wyre Forest and surrounding area. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend both this cottage and Sykes.

The cottage is amazing. So idilic.

This property undersells itself.

It is idyllic for all those who wish to live in the middle of a forest beside a brook but with all the comforts of huge beds and plush sofas. 6 adults and 4 children aged 4 and under plus 2 dogs were perfectly catered for in this old house with its huge garden and extended forest area as well as the brook to paddle in.

the location was perfect the fact that there was no mobile signal was an added bonus the local pubs were very welcoming especially as we had two red setter dogs with us

Very welcoming, furnished beautiful lounge kitchen and all the bed rooms.and It was lovely and warm all through the house. The garden had the birds visiting us. The River run through the garden very pleasent.tranquil setting. The welcoming pack and flowers was a nice touch and appreciated. Will recommend it to family and friends.

What an amazing property.

A group of friends getting together and the house couldn't have been more perfect. On arrival the fire was lit and there was cake on the table and milk in the fridge. The property was immaculate. Beautifully clean. The towels were fluffy and the bedding amazing. The kitchen had everything we needed and more. The property was located in a beautiful spot. The owners obviously take great pride in this property and it shows. We all had an amazing time and have already looked at the possibility of re-booking!! 11/10!!

Town Mill was a beautiful house with everything we could have needed for our family break over New Year.

The location in the woods was wonderful and just a 30 minute walk away from the lovely town and a short walk to the nearest pub The Hop Pole. The little touches were great, thank you for the cot bedding and milk in the fridge. My sister celebrated her birthday whilst we were there, thank you for leaving the birthday cake and wine it was a lovely touch.

This was such a well looked after holiday cottage, we were made so welcome and comfortable.

Minor suggestions would be a note about where the recycling bins are and possibly a DVD player. We had such a wonderful time and would certainly like to come back again soon.
