You enter into the welcoming sitting room with a cosy seating area and a dining area with plenty of natural light, then make your way through to the well-equipped and stylish kitchen which has everything guests need to prepare a romantic dinner.

Head upstairs to the lovely bedroom with an adjoining bathroom to enjoy a rewarding soak after a day’s walking or cycling with routes available from the doorstep of the cottage.

Outside, five stone steps lead to a lawned area with garden furniture, ideal for relaxing with a good book whilst listening to the birdsong and local wildlife.

The pretty village of Kingsland is close by and has two good pubs, a well-stocked shop and a Post Office.

About the location

The ancient village of Kingsland nestles in beautiful Herefordshire countryside, less than five miles north west of Leominster. The village boasts two good pubs, a Post Office and a store. Many activities can be enjoyed in the area including a high wire rope course, paintball, quad trekking and raft building, all of which are available at the local Oaker Wood activity centre. Also visit Mortimer's Cross watermill, an 18th century watermill located on the River Lugg, and Monkland Cheese, a working dairy producing local artisan cheeses. Leominster, dating back to the 7th century possesses some fine examples of architecture including the Priory church, along with a wide variety of shops, cafes, antique centres and pubs – it’s an ideal place to spend an afternoon. Close by are many National Trust properties including Croft Castle and Berrington Hall, plus the Judge's Chambers in Presteigne, Stokesay Castle, the renowned Shropshire Hills Discovery Centre and the Acton Scott Historic Farm are well worth a visit. Sample Herefordshire's famous cider or discover Hereford with it's fascinating Mappa Mundi world map and the captivating chained library, home to a collection of rare and ancient books.
