Great cottage in a great location walks straight from the door pub on your doorstep and loads to see and do only a short drive away, We stayed a week and still there was lots we didn’t get chance to do

A warm and comfortable dwelling on a delightful village setting.

The owners are on site and most helpful and hospitable. The property is suitable for those with limited mobility as it is all on one level with only one small step to negotiate near the entrance. Car parking is very close to entrance.

The Milking Parlour was a lovely cosy, comfortable well equipped cottage.

It lived up to expectations from the listing. The owners live on site and are very helpful. The neighbourhood is quiet and there are many walks nearby. The local shop is well stocked and the nearby Pub is welcoming.

So comfortable, warm and we'll maintained.

We hope to go there again.

The cottage is very well decorated and has everything you need for a cosy holiday.

Owners very generous in all that they provide in terms of condiments and cleaning products for example.

Certainly one of the nicest properties we have stayed in. The facilities in the property were ideal. Everything worked; it was clean, smart and very comfortable. Yarpole is a lovely village. The Bell pub was excellent with really good food and I have never before found a better village shop. “The Milking Parlour” is an ideal choice.

The owners couldn't have been more welcoming or helpful. The cottage is in a great location for visiting National Trust properties and beautiful villages.

This was one of the most charming places I have stayed in.

Everything you might need was provided. Yarpole is a delightful village set in beautiful rolling countryside. Thoroughly enjoyed my stay.

The property is perfect and if we had our own car we would return.

But as we don’t have a car, public transport was necessary but limited!

The owner, Martin, was there to welcome us, and made us feel very comfortable. Great place to stay.

I knew when I booked this property it wasn’t disabled friendly.

On Sykes photos it plainly shows a bath in the property. But since getting there the bath had been replaced y a very high quality shower cubicle. I took my bath board thinking I could use the bath with easy. Martin the owner order me a shower stool so I could use the new shower. Which was very kind of him. He was very considerate and thoughtful in every way. He made my stay very comfortable The property is very homely and comfortable for able people .

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Milking Parlour and plan to return. The community Pub is a 2 minute walk away and serves reasonably priced, delicious meals. Also the shop, situated in the church, stocks a wide variety of items.

The Milking Parlour was warm, comfortable in a cold week, and equipped for all our needs. It is well located for visiting many nearby attractions, even by bike. The owners made sure our bikes were securely stored and were quietly helpful in a variety of ways. Joe

The Milking Parlour was even better than the photos indicated and we loved using the cottage as a base.

It’s perfect for two and the walk in shower was an added bonus as my husband has mobility issues. A great tip from someone else who stayed here was to take slippers as most floors don’t have carpets plus it keeps the floors clean. There isn’t anything to like really (maybe a little more room to prepare food? A butchers block on wheels? but that’s being picky…). Loved everything provided including the wine and home made jam, thanks so much. Have told everyone about this great place. Loved the community pub and shop too.

A bit of a Tardis, compact but surprisingly spacious inside for a couple.

Comfortably furnished to a high standard we spent a very pleasant week there in September. It is ideally placed to tour Herefordshire and Shropshire and the numerous National Trust properties there. Yarpole itself is a small, friendly community with the advantage of a small community store for last minute essentials and associated cafe that had excellent cakes. The local pub, just over the road, was unfortunately closed during our stay due to illness so we couldn't try that out. The host was perfect, he gave us a quick tour on our arrival and was helpful when we had a small issue (of our own making). There is limited outside space, which didn't worry us, the parking is directly outside the cottage and helped me practice my parallel parking, but did easily take my fairly large SUV. We would definitely stay there again if visiting in the area.

Lovely accommodation in a beautiful part of the world.

My only observation would be to bring some slippers as the floors are tiled (although not in the bedroom)

This property is very clean, cosy and well equipped.

It’s a great location for touring around the area. A very warm welcome from the owner on arrival. Inside we found lovely bottle of wine, biscuits and a pot of homemade jam(which was delicious). We fell in love with the village, the shop inside the church. Everyone was so welcoming. A great find and we would certainly go again in the future.

The cottage and it's amenities are lovely.

It's very easy to relax into. Lovely greeting from the owner on arrival. The car parking space was snug for an suv, but manageable and for me the bed wasn't very comfy and the limited bedding was a problem as I was too hot every night, otherwise it was a very pleasant stay.

The Milking Parlour is very comfortable and an excellent location for us to enjoy a comfortable and peaceful holiday.

Most locations have an odd feature that does not satisfy, but with this property, we struggle to find any fault. All in all we had a very enjoyable week with plenty of places to visit. For us, it rates as one of the best properties that we have stayed in. The owners were very helpful yet unobtrusive.

The Milking Palour is a fabulous place to stay.

Everything is there but it would benefit from a bit more work space , in the kitchen. Set in a peaceful, and quiet village, shop that sells what you need, and a pub across the road, what more do you need. Owners were friendly but not intrusive . Colin and Margaret

Bigger than what you think so plenty of space to relax in the evening including a small secluded space to sit outside with a glass of wine on a summer’s evening. Great location for discovering the area and more Herefordshire, Shropshire and Wales. National trust properties all around. Would definitely recommend and return.

The property was excellent.

Well equipped and in an excellent position in a lovely village. A very comfortable property for a truly relaxing break. It was very well presented. The owners were very welcoming. Surrounding area with lots to do. A very nice walk from the house takes you to Croft castle (NT). The local shop and cafe in the village church was excellent.

The Milking Parlour is the most comfortable holiday let I have stayed in.

It is very well equipped; the heating and hot water (so important!) are more than adequate. It has been sensitively furnished and decorated which always adds to the visitor's comfort. The owners are hospitable and kind, without being intrusive. It nestles in the delightful village of Yarpole. The Herefordshire countryside is glorious and the villages in the locality a joy to explore. I would heartily recommend The Milking Parlour.

The location, facilities and hosts. Nice pub 2 mins walk (closed Mon - Wed). Great location to visit some wonderful National trust and English heritage sites.

The Milking Parlour is a well appointed cottage in a lovely quiet area-even over Bank Holiday we hardly met anyone on our long walks!

We appreciated the generous welcome treats and found the various guide books and maps very useful.

Very friendly welcome even though we were quite late arriving and got lost in Yarpole!

Cottage was cosy and very well equipped. Bottle of wine to greet us and plenty of instructions. Wifi very good. TV worked very well. Yarpole is a lovely village and the friendly shop, cafe and pub are all community run and of high quality. They are all on the same lane as The Milking Parlour. Great Meals at The Bell. Good spot to visit lots of interesting places and great walking countryside.

Very quiet and beautiful location.

Many places of interest in Herefordshire, Shropshire and Worcestershire within easy reach. Excellent pub immediately opposite buy only open Thursday to Sunday. Very comfortable bed and plenty of drying space in the bathroom. Nice bottle of wine and milk on our arrival. All in all a very pleasant stay.

Lovely cottage in a small village there is a community owned pub which is currently closed Monday to Wednesday and a small village run shop in the church plus a cafe which we enjoyed having afternoon tea.

The peace and quiet.

The welcome that we received from the owners was first class, then they left us alone unless we needed something. The holiday was just what we needed

It was very clean and cosy with everything we could have needed provided by the owners. We would recommend to anybody wanting to explore the Herefordshire and Shropshire area, lots to see and do. The Milking Parlour in Yarpole was a delight! Compact yet spacious, and clearly a great deal of thought went into the furnishing and decor. It was spotless throughout, and Barbara and Martin were kind enough to have a welcome pack for us on arrival. Highly recommended!

Great location in a vibrant village.

The accommodation was really comfortable so we were able to settle in very quickly. The owners were very thoughtful and had left us a gift of wine and chocolates. The coffee machine had coffee available to drink. The utensils and crockery were very good. The bedding and towels were excellent quality. The WiFi and TV all worked really well. The village shop and gallery cafe were brilliant and we were able to shop everyday there except Sunday. The cafe was outstanding for the menu but also the friendliness of the locals and voluntary staff. The church itself with its bell tower and the cemetery across the road is well worth a visit. We were able to walk to Croft Castle for a visit. We spent a very pleasant evening in The Bell for a meal and to listen to the folk musicians.

The cottage had everything anyone is likely to need, and is really close to the village pub and shop, and to some really good walks.

In particular, the Croft Estate is very close. The kitchen is well equipped, and the WiFi and heating are really effective (which was great for me as I got snowed in one of the days) A great base for exploring Herefordshire and South Shropshire.

The owners Martin & Barbara were very helpful and friendly when we arrived.

The cottage was lovely and just perfect for a relaxing break away from it all, but with every comfort. We fell in love with the village, the shop inside the church, and the Bell pub a few yards away. And the weather was great too!

This is a great cottage for a break from hustle & bustle of everyday life.

Unfortunately we had to return home early, due to back problems.

We loved the area and the cottage, and will be back.
