Twigs

Absolutely lovely property would thoroughly recommend.

We had a relaxing week enjoying the various walks and cafes / restaurants in the local area. Jim was a brilliant host and made us feel welcome. Twigs was well equipped, including decent wifi. The area is packed with amazing views and wildlife.

A fantastic little cottage in a remote location.

Well laid out and well equipped. Woody Bay is very quiet. The cottage is set in woodland with a relatively short walk to a small bay and beach. Thank you to Jim for making us welcome and telling us a bit more about the area. For us a big attraction was that Twigs was located next to the South West Coast Path and enabled us to break the walk from Combe Martin to Lynmouth into two stages. Normally this strenuous 15 mile walk has to be done in one a day, which is a challenge for those of us not used to such long distances.

Unfortunately we had not been informed, that major building work was being undertaken opposite Twigs.

Sadly it disrupted our stay and the peace and tranquillity expected. Our host Jim was incredible! He did everything in his power to make our stay a comfortable one! And we can't praise him highly enough. And in fairness to Jim he offered us a weeks stay once the work opposite is completed. He's been so generous and kind! Sykes Holiday Cottages in our opinion put him in an impossible situation. Weekend stays only would not be effected. We were staying for two weeks to celebrate our 45th Wedding Anniversary. We came home a week early, after struggling through the Mon-Fri! Sykes Holiday Cottages have not responded to our complaint, but have sent us a feedback link! I just hope this avoids anyone else having a similar experience.

What a delightful and peaceful place to stay.

Comfortable and well equipped. Jim was a congenial host and the welcome goodies were a real treat on arrival. Geographically well placed for the North West corner of Devon with some wonderful walks especially to Hunter's Inn. We will return!

A bit of paradise away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. And no Wi-Fi and internet meant no interruptions!!

It was comfortable with everything you needed. It was in a beautiful location with a friendly owner who suggested possible walks from the property Our one concern was the slippery decking steps down to where you leave the car however you didn’t have to use this route.

Great location for quiet relaxing stay and friendly helpful owner. Very easy access to local walks which are very well sign posted and used. Takes a while to get used to having no internet, so used to looking things up.

Twigs has everything you need in for a really enjoyable stay in a wonderful picturesque area.

If peace and quiet is what you need, this is the holiday for you. We will be back!

Twigs is a lovely property - complete tranquility with gorgeous views of the canopy of trees.

An owl swooped onto the fencing around the decking one evening and remained for a few seconds which was magical! South West coastal path walking recommended - path straight outside Twigs. Woody Bay has wonderful countryside and history. I would strongly recommend a stay at Twigs for a relaxing break. Thanks again Jim.

Perfect location for leaving the driving and having some exilerating walks on the coastal paths. Very friendly owner, Jim. Would go back again and again. A price of paradise.

We really enjoyed our stay at Twigs.

A very unusual location but very pretty in amongst trees. The property was very skilfully designed so that even though it’s not at all large it feels roomy with vaulted ceilings. We would highly revommend.

Our stay at Twigs was fantastic.

..such a beautiful woodland setting, next to the coastal path and Woody Bay beach. Twigs is very comfortable and has everything needed for a relaxing holiday. We enjoyed the stunning walks as well as relaxing on the terrace watching the amazing variety of birds! Thank you to Jim for ensuring our stay was perfect and for the thoughtful treats which we thoroughly enjoyed!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Twigs and were very happy with everything provided.

Jim the owner kindly left us a bottle of wine, fresh milk and some chocolates which we thought was a nice touch. He also came to see us during our stay to ensure everything was satisfactory. On a minor issue we did point out to Jim the directions were a little confusing because there was a pull in at the turn to Woody Bay which did have a National Trust marker opposite and we thought this was the car park referred to in the directions. This should be clarified for future guests Should the opportunity arise we would be happy to visit Twigs again..

The location was beautiful and provided a quiet relaxing atmosphere which we loved.

Everything you might need was provided along with the extra touches of Prosecco and chocolates which were greatly appreciated. Thank you Jim, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Fantastically appointed.

Very comfortable, we felt at home straight away. Some nice little touches like milk and Prosecco in the fridge when we arrived. Everything was well planned and thought out. Location was better than we could have hoped for, very quiet and right on the South West Coast Park.

It is beautiful and clean and has all the essentials for a perfect getaway, set in woodland with lovely walks. We would have no hesitation in recommending or returning to this property in the future, very deserving of its 5 tick rating. Thank you Jim we had a wonderful break.

Lovely and Clean, well equipped.

Marvellous comfy bed (so important). Lovely touches with the coffee, milk, tea, chocolates and wine. Jim and his daughter Emma so friendly and keen to ensure we had an enjoyable stay. Great location for a getaway from it all holiday.
