We had a lovely week at the old piggery.

It was cosy, comfortable, well equipped and very clean. The two outdoor seating areas were lovely especially as the weather was good whilst we were there. The owners Tara and Paul along with Lottie the dog were so welcoming and helpful and the welcome pack of freshly baked bread, scones with Jam and cream along with fresh milk and eggs was a lovely touch. Thank you to them both for a fabulous stay..we definitely recommend the old piggery for a stay in the Cotswolds.

Definitely 5* ~ an excellent cottage, extremely well presented and very clean.

The cottage was well stocked with everything you could possibly need for an enjoyable stay. Lovely garden to sit out in with suitable garden furniture. Tara and Paul (and Lottie) were very friendly but not at all intrusive. This is definitely a cottage we will visit again.

The property is in fantastic location, very quiet and secluded with a large enclosed garden for those with a dog.

Lovely property.

Clean and modern with everything you need. Amazing gardens amongst wildlife . Peaceful full of birdsong ( apart from train line , didn’t know about prior to visit so might mention. Didn’t matter to us as we already live near train line) It is remote. Takes more than time mentioned to get to pub for example and the footpaths for walks are overgrown and not possible to use but that’s nothing to do with owners but worth a mention (council take note please). Overall a lovely property and very helpful friendly owners full of information and suggestions. The welcome bread, scones, milk and eggs were a lovely feature too. Will recommend.

We had a fantastic stay at The Old Piggery holiday cottage.

The cottage was spotlessly clean, well-equipped, and incredibly cosy, making it feel like a true home away from home. The peaceful countryside setting was perfect for relaxing, yet it was also ideally located for exploring the local area. We especially loved the spacious rooms, comfortable beds, and thoughtful touches throughout the property. Tara, Paul and lottie the dog, were so welcoming and helpful, ensuring everything was perfect for our stay. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this cottage to anyone looking for a relaxing rural getaway and would happily return in the future. A truly memorable holiday.

The property was superb.

A well planned barn conversion with lots of thought given to the interior and outside space. It was well equipped and the hosts were very welcoming. A great location that enables visitors to explore different places. Very dog friendly too. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Old Piggery.

Had a lovely week at The Old Piggery the property has been converted to a high standard with quality fixtures and fittings.

Comfortable bed and sofa and a great shower. Lovely peaceful location with easy access to local amenities. We had an issue with the WiFi which the owners tried their best to resolve but was made more difficult due to the fact that they were away on holiday but it didn't spoil our break and we'd happily return.

Wonderful little air BnB in a great location.

We loved how well equipped it was & enjoyed cooking in the lovely kitchen. Everything was spotlessly clean and the interior is beautiful. We especially loved all the timbers & dimmable lights in the lounge & kitchen. Nice area for walking and exploring the countryside, but easy to reach shops and towns too. We hope to come again!

I had a lovely stay at The Old Piggery.

Tara was so kind and helpful, even getting me through a flooded road! A perfect get away if you fancy some peace and quiet and great country walks. Would definitely recommend and stay again.

Wow !

We were so pleased to find a very generous welcome pack. A lovely home made loaf which was avidly devoured with the eggs and jam. Also the piggery defies its name. The cottage is delightful , spotlessly clean and so well converted, five star ! The cottage is well appointed for days out as well. Thank you for our stay. John and Carol.

From checking tyre pressures, home baked bread, scones and other sundries, to a birthday card and chocolates for my 70th birthday, they were wonderful hosts. We stayed in the area for the RHS Malvern Autumn Show, which was incredibly busy but interesting. We liked Henry's cafe/bookshop in Upton and The Bell at Eckington. The old piggery is in a rural setting, the cottage is very modern, comfortable and clean.

The welcome pack left by the owners was superb. The Cotswolds villages are mainly within half an hours drive. Bonnie loved the enclosed garden to run around in. This was our third visit and we've already booked again for next year.

The property is in a wonderful location, is simply lovely and meets all our expectations and requirements. The owners are a great couple, very thoughtful and provided every comfort to enable us to have a great holiday.

Despite our stay being the hottest week of the year we could not have asked for a better place to stay with friendly hosts who were there if you needed them but were no way intrusive. Thank you Paul & Tara (you’re welcome for the additional fan HAHA)

The Piggery was a lovely place to stay.

It was of a very high standard and of a convenient location. The garden was huge and our dog loved it. The owners were very friendly and helpful and we would have no hesitation of staying here again.

We had a Lively time, very friendly landlord and lady.

There was a smalle problem with the hot water. This was solved quickly, effectively and with kindness. The welcoming package was very much appreciated.

The Old Piggery is a delightful place to stay.

Perfect for a couple with a dog. Our golden retriever loved the large enclosed garden. We really enjoyed ourselves and the views from the garden are lovely. The welcome pack was really good as well.

As we had paid a considerable sum of money to stay the week, had not expected that the shower would not work on Saturday, Sunday, Monday and until Tuesday evening.

Upon having a shower on Saturday before we left, the water went cold again. This was NOT satisfactory.. The owners should have fixed the shower on the Saturday and actually paid for a different service to fix the shower immediately. How would they feel if it was them on holiday and had the same experience. We would like some money back. The Old Piggery was also sweltering and all in all we were very pleased to get home. We deliberately went out as much as we could as it was too hot to stay there.

Good base to visit lots of places. Cottage had everything we needed. Very clean with high quality bed linen and towels. Big enclosed garden for our Labrador to run around. Nearest big supermarket about 5 miles away - Tesco in Pershore but a few garages and a farm shop nearer. Nice walks from the cottage. Loved the welcome pack with homemade loaf and scones, milk, teabags, eggs. Owners are friendly and on hand if you need anything. Highly recommended.

The owners were friendly and helpful, there are plenty of places to visit and eat at with a dog. You couldn't wish for a better outside area to share with your dog whilst on holiday.

So much that we are hoping to return in the future. Paul and Tara are excellent, helpful and unobtrusive hosts. It was so good to find a property where the term fully enclosed garden actually means exactly that!! WE have over 20 years of cottage holidays and this is one pf the nicest properties that we have stayed in.

We have just returned from a lovely break at The Old Piggery.

What a beautiful little holiday let! It has absolutely everything you need and the welcome pack was just amazing. The scones and fresh bread were outstanding! Such a kind and thoughtful idea. The actual accommodation was immaculate and really well maintained. The garden is huge and our older beagle Rosie loved having a good explore at her own pace of course!! Lottie the owners Labrador is just gorgeous and so much fun. She gave us a good few giggles whilst we were there. Tara and Paul are brilliant hosts and nothing is too much trouble for them. We have had the nicest week in and around Defford and the accommodation worked as a fab base for exploring places like Pershore, The Malvern Hills and Worcester. Revills farm shop is a great place for breakfast (you can walk there in less than 40 mins), well worth a visit. Thank you once again for a fabulous week and we look forward to a return visit soon.

What an absolute perfect holiday let we found on Sykes cottages….

We stayed there over Christmas and the owners very kindly provided us with a tree and other decorations, home made bread, wine and scones were a lovely little touch. Would highly recommend if you’re looking for a relaxing break. Would 100% stay again. Damian, Tash and Tyson the dog

We had a lovely stay at the Old Piggery recently.

The accommodation was very clean, well equipped, beautifully decorated and our lurcher Willow loved the big garden too. The Old Piggery is perfectly located to explore the Worcester/Gloucester/Herefordshire countryside and given that it was early December we got super lucky with the weather and could go for some long walks around the Malvern Hills and Bredon Hill.

Another return visit and we were not disappointed.

This is a cosy, well equipped and delightful barn conversion in a super setting . Attractive and tidy surroundings make for a restful stay but there are many places of interest within easy reach. The local farm shop ( Revills) is an excellent source of produce and provides first rate meals too. We look forward to future visits. Many thanks to Tara and Paul for their hospitality.

The Old Piggery is a lovely place to stay.

Well appointed and spotlessly clean. Tara and Paul are excellent hosts. They came over to introduce themselves and made sure we had every thing we needed. The welcome package included a loaf of homemade bread which was a real treat and very good. We enjoyed our stay and look forward to coming back on our next visit to England.

I had a wonderful week at The Old Piggery and was very sorry to leave.

The property had been created to a very high standard, with very high quality linens, appliances and an excellent shower. I especially appreciated the welcome pack, which was a real treat on arrival. The only request I would make is that the owners give some information about how to dispose of rubbish, especially recycling. Each local authority seems to have different requirements and I really wanted to do the right thing in Worcestershire.

This was the very best cottage that we have ever stayed at.

No complaints at all. We are definitely going to book for next year.

A fabulous week spent at the cottage.

The welcome pack is very thoughtful and considerate. Could do with a few more cleaning products and cloths to help maintain the cleanliness of the place. Wonderful cottage, beautiful location, excellent hosts. Have booked again for next year so that says it all.

This is hands down the best equipped kitchen we have ever experienced.

We love to cook and have our own holiday box we usually bring with us. It was not required. The dog friendly garden kept our pooch entertained (even though she was a grouch with the owners' gorgeous Lottie). The property has been carefully thought out with a fire pit, barbecue, outdoor seating and beautiful interiors.

Perfect for our dog who truly loved it, and didn’t want to come in most of the time. Lovely hosts who were close by if you needed them, enjoyed seeing their dog Lottie most days she would come and say hi. Everything you could need or want is there and so peaceful. located in a quiet peaceful area. Extra large enclosed and secure rear garden ideal for a dog to roam. Owners live close by and are very friendly and welcoming including Lottie the black Labrador. Welcome pack was a nice touch. Had a lovely week chilling and exploring the Cotswolds.

A gorgeous little home in a beautiful location very rural very quiet and tranquil.

The cottage was beautiful and the garden made taking the dog a joyous experience what made it even better was Lottie the Lab who came each day to say ‘hello’. The hosts Tara and Paul were very friendly and welcoming and made a beautiful location even better. Would highly recommend.

We particularly enjoyed Croome, Hidcote, Broadway, Gloucester Docks and Cathedral. Overall Excellent, I am sure we will return in the near future.

It is an absolutely beautiful cottage, the best we have ever stayed at.

The facilities were superb with a large fridge, freezer which was great. The huge enclosed garden for our dog was a lovely bonus where she could run around after her tennis ball. There is also a lovely seating area to the front. The welcome pack was fab including biscuits for Bella. Tara and Paul were very welcoming but did not intrude on our privacy at all. Would not hesitate to recommend this cottage to others.

Perfectly located for exploring many places in this beautiful area and situated in a quiet, relaxed, tranquil setting, we felt very relaxed here.

The outdoor green space was perfect for our dog Jenny who was able to explore the garden safely as it was enclosed. Furnished and fitted to a high standard with everything you could need for a comfortable stay. Tara and Paul the owners are lovely, friendly people but did not intrude upon our privacy. They left a lovely welcome pack of home made bread, eggs, milk and biscuits plus doggie treats for Jenny. Highly recommend.

The cottage was very comfortable with a lovely outlook and garden. Tara and Paul were on hand should we need them and the welcome pack with homemade bread, eggs, local milk and other treats was great. Our cockerpoo loved the garden and walks at nearby Croome Court. We would definitely recommend a stay here.

The location is great, lots of lovely walks and dog friendly pubs nearby, and it was so nice to have such a large enclosed area for our dog, Max. The accommodation was very clean and has clearly been renovated to a really high standard, couldn’t recommend it enough.

We had days and days of rain but how lucky we were to be staying in such beautiful accommodation!

The cottage is lovely, well laid out and well equipped. Although we couldn’t make much use of it because of the soggy ground the garden is a great size, totally enclosed and a haven for our four legged friends.

Excellent clean, well appointed accommodation with everything needed for an enjoyable stay.

The garden was completely fenced in so perfect for our dog, and a quiet and peaceful location, perfect for visiting the Malvern Hills, Worcester, and even the Cotswolds. Unfortunately we had to leave a day early due to my husband's illness, but Tara was very helpful, even returning some items we had left there! We hope to be able to come back next year and finish our sightseeing,but highly recommend the Old Piggery.

The conversion has been furnished to a beautiful, comfortable standard- a true home from home. The garden was wonderful for my dog to explore and fully enclosed. We found lots of lovely walks and I felt rested and ready to get back to work at the end of it. Just what I wanted and needed. We will definitely return. Thank you so much.

The cottage was beautifully decorated and very clean.

The patio area has now been fenced off which made it really nice, plus huge front garden, which also gets the sun. Tara and Paul were lovely, and had freshly cooked bread, some cookies and milk from local farm awaiting us which again was really nice. The area is lovely and very accessible to lots of attractions. Would definately return at some stage, and thoroughly recommend the cottage.

We had a lovely relaxing stay and appreciated the accommodation very much being warm and cosy at such a time of very cold spell.

There was internet but very weak and more often than not non existent which at times was very frustrating but understand the situation.

Very clean and well equipped. Bed and lounge seating was all very comfortable, owners friendly and helpful. The cottage was well located for our personal travel plans and is close to numerous places of interest. We will certainly be keen to return in the not too distant future.

Lovely hideaway - perfect for decompressing from the pressures of work!

Clean, comfortable, quiet & calm. Pleasant & attractive outside areas for morning coffee or eating & reading. And thank you for the delicious bread! Only teeny gripe was that the TV is very small for ageing eyes but that really is a very minor gripe for a wonderful & very reasonably priced property.

Tara & Paul, excelled in providing great holiday accommodation for us.

A fantastic welcome pack of provisions included eggs, milk, tea bags, biscuits, and a newly home made loaf of bread which was delicious. The king size bed was very comfortable as was all the different seating areas. The Old Piggery made a great place for us to be able to visit the surrounding area's and towns which are a short drive away. Pershore is a nice town where we enjoyed a Classic Car Show, it also has an Asda store. Tewkesbury is a lovely town, where we enjoyed a lovely boat trip on the River Avon.

Tara and Paul were the perfect hosts we had a warm welcome and we’re there for us if any problems arose, the property is lovely, very well appointed and comfortable with everything you need for an enjoyable stay, the only negative we can give is the Wi-Fi, some days it struggled to reach 2mb and as we had taken our Firestick with us , we struggled to watch a film when we wanted to, but this would not put us off going back again, The Piggery is an ideal place for visiting so many parts of the different counties, most places like Stratford etc only a 40 mins drive away and ideal to explore the Malverns, overall we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend The Piggery to family and friends and would love to go back ourselves one day.

A lovely property in a good location for various cotswold attractions.

Very remote so good for those wanting a get away. The property was lovely and clean and well stocked with everything you would expect. The owners had kindly left a welcome bag of milk eggs and bread which was thoughtful. I’d definitely recommend the property to a couple looking for a quiet time away together. Only downside is their were some problems with their air heatpump and a lack of hot water occasionally. I am sure the owners will get this fixed soon though. Overall this didn’t spoil our stay in a lovely modern but cosy cottage.

We really enjoyed this cottage it was an ideal cottage as a base for sightseeing trips and lots of English Heritage and National Trust to visit.

It was so peaceful. We sat out on the patio and we watched the Bats flying about. You wanted for nothing it was so well equipped. We even had a lovely welcome pack. The owners were very nice and helpful. John and Christine. Warrington. Cheshire.
