Old Cottage Hospital Annexe

A lovely positioned annexe close to the Main Street, only a 5 minute walk if that to all the shops and lots of eating establishments, with a nice pub over the road.

Bedrooms were very comfortable with one being a kingsize and the other a superking. Parking for two cars, with electric hook up. Enough seats to sit on but would have preferred maybe one more seat for choice. A very nice welcome pack with some goody treats. Television was only viewable by apps and streaming so no normal channels were on offer so take your passwords with you to access them. Otherwise a beautiful place to stay in.

This was a unique, rather quirky property having been once part of the Cottage Hospital.

It was very spacious indeed, with comfortable beds, well appointed bathrooms and a large pleasant seating and kitchen area. The location was perfect - along picturesque Sheep Street and an easy stroll into the centre of Burford. Another bonus was its own parking spot behind gates.

Wow, the Annexe in Burford was amazing!

We loved where we were, close to the High Street and it lived up to our expectations; we appreciated the space and also the goodies left by the owner. It was great to be able to park our car knowing that it was safe.

The property and location were perfect for a stay in the area.

There was easy access to activities around Burford. The property is located just on the edge of town which was a quick walk in to eat out or shop. The communication with the hosts was really good. We had no issues throughout the trip and really enjoyed the stay. Everything went really smooth. The on site parking was a massive bonus as the town can get busy.

A Cotswolds gem We had a wonderful stay in this stunning cottage and couldn’t have asked for a better place to enjoy Burford.

The cottage itself is beautifully presented, spotlessly clean, spacious and very well equipped, with everything needed for a relaxing stay. A real advantage is that it is all on one level, as one member of our party has limited mobility. This made such a difference and meant that everyone could enjoy the stay without having to negotiate stairs. The location is excellent. Burford is a charming Cotswold town and we loved being able to access its shops, pubs, and cafés so easily, while having a peaceful and comfortable cottage to return to. The bedrooms were extremely comfortable, the bathrooms are beautiful, and the thoughtful touches on arrival made us feel particularly welcome. Having secure private parking was another real bonus. This really is an exceptional cottage in a fantastic location. It felt like a treat from the moment we arrived and we were genuinely sorry to leave. We have no hesitation in recommending it to others and will return :-)

The Old Cottage Hospital is a lovely cottage to stay.

It is spacious and very comfortable. We especially liked to sit in the hallway (with rocking chair) where there was a lot of light. The 2 en-suite bedrooms were very comfortable with beautiful bathrooms. There was a private parking place with a free EV charging point. On our arrival the owner had put treats on the kitchen table for us. That felt like a very warm welcome. Pubs and restaurants are on walking distance. We would certainly recommend a stay in this lovely cottage with a very helpfull and friendly owner.

The instructions provided prior to arrival were clear, simple and easy to follow, making check in stress-free. The property itself is immaculate and well maintained and struck the perfect balance of open-plan living and a cosy welcoming atmosphere. The décor is very tasteful and thoughtfully chosen, leaving you with a stylish and comfortable place to relax in. They really have thought of everything with the welcome pack containing the bits you may have forgot, not to mention the treats too, much appreciated! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would not hesitate to return - 100% would recommended. Thank you.

Lovely spot in a lovely village.

A delightful holiday accommodation, definitely a home away from home.

Very spacious and comfortable, very well appointed and that includes the secure parking, and the property is in an ideal location close to two delightful pub restaurants and the main street with its myriad of delightful independent shops, cafes, pub/restaurants and the rest. A bonus was the very welcoming, helpful hosts in Drew and Emma, and the generous welcome packs.

Rather quirky but very comfortable property with plenty of space.

Quiet location with easy walk to Burford High Street that has a wide range of shops and eating places (a torch is useful after dark). Good secure parking on site. Good base for exploring this part of the Cotswolds and easy access to Oxford. Highly recommended.

The accommodation was perfect for us (two couples) as both bedrooms were ensuite and equally as lovely.

The annexe is spacious and all the rooms were good size even the bathrooms. We appreciated the quirkiness of the original features left in situ indicating its original medical use. The hosts Drew and Emma left some welcome goodies for us and were very responsive to any queries. Great to have easy secure car parking in Burford and very easy short stroll to all the shops and pubs! Would love to return.

The Old Cottage Hospital Annexe in Burford was a delight to stay in.

The Annexe is incredibly spacious and extremely comfortable with tasteful furnishings and everything you need for a stay in the Cotswolds. Location is superb, just off the High Street with private, secure parking which is a premium in Burford. Numerous pubs, restaurants and cocktail bars a short walk away. Loved the hospital theme being a retired nurse. Property is very well decorated and furnished. Lovely bathrooms. TV a little hard to work if you are not used to using Apps. The Cotswold Wild Life Park is close by and well worth a visit and Burford Garden Centre a real treat, and only up the hill. Would highly recommend property, lovely welcome basket and welcoming owners.

We recently spent a week at The Old Cottage Hospital Annex in Burford and absolutely loved it.

The place was warm, cosy, and inviting — a true home away from home. The welcome pack was a lovely touch and much appreciated. The annex is surprisingly spacious, with lovely furnished rooms and comfy beds. The location is ideal — tucked away in a peaceful spot yet just a short stroll from the heart of Burford. One of our favourite features was the charming little courtyard. Although the weather wasn’t quite warm enough to sit out, it added a lovely touch and we can imagine how perfect it would be on a sunny day. The bathrooms were spotless, with powerful hot showers and soft fluffy towels. Overall, it was a fantastic stay and we’d happily return. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a relaxing and comfortable getaway in the Cotswolds.

We were a little apprehensive as there were no reviews to refer to as the Old Cottage Hospital Annexe is new to the lettings market, however the owners have clearly done their homework as The Annexe has everything we needed and more.

The property is beautifully decorated throughout and the lounge area is cosy and welcoming. The kitchen area is well stocked with crockery & utensils. Each bedroom has a delightful en-suite, one with a luxurious bath tub. There is no garden, however the enormous sliding doors from the hallway into the courtyard allowed in both daylight and fresh air. The Annexe is well situated within Burford for access on foot to the high street and elsewhere by road. NB A torch (in the basket under the sink) is useful when returning on foot in the dark as the last stretch of pavement from the nearby Lamb Inn is not lit but the welcoming glow of the entrance gates are easily seen.

Friendly owner who checked we had arrived safely and sorted a very minor problem immediately. We enjoyed the lovely treats left for us in the welcome pack. The property was in the centre of Burford with shops, cafes and pubs close by yet it was very quiet and peaceful with the bonus of secure off road parking. We highly recommend a stay here!

We just had a three night stay at this beautiful accommodation, it was in such a great location walking distance from the local village shops which we walked to daily.

The place was immaculate & the beds was extremely comfortable (always a win) would highly recommend if your wanting to visit the Cotswolds lots of cosy pubs and really nice restaurants local and not far from other scenic places to see!
