Ms Shahabuddin, July 2017.
“The house was fantastic, very tastefully decorated, very clean and had everything we needed.”
All the bedrooms were of a good size and all rooms were very comfortable. excellent Christmas decorations too. The owners were very friendly and helpful. They were close by if we needed anything but they never interfered or made us feel like we were being watched.
“Lovely surroundings and a beautiful house which was well equipped and comfortable.”
The pictures do not do it justice.
“My group have been away this weekend for twenty years so we are very well experienced in staycations and without a doubt this was the best cottage we have ever stayed in.”
“Well equipped and very comfortable house.”
Perfect for New Year week.
“The premises were just as described; presentation was excellent; helpfulness of owners could not be better; complimentary items on arrival were much appreciated; location was ideal for a family uniting from various locations; layout of rooms ideally suited our needs.”
It was big enough to accommodate 5 couples and a baby, and was in just the right location for our purposes. These days i usually look for a Wi-Fi connection which was available. It is hard to think of any way the property could be improved. We were delighted. We found the website easy to use and the telephone assistance was excellent.
“We had a fantastic time here.”
Every room feels special and has enough space for adults to stay in. The whole house has so much attention detail which we really appreciated. Beautiful surroundings too.
“The cottage was fantastic and by far the best I have ever stayed in.”
Every little detail had been thought out, the layout was fantastic and it was such a high standard of decor. We felt like we could of moved in and stayed forever!
“The house was fantastic, very tastefully decorated, very clean and had everything we needed.”
All the bedrooms were of a good size and all rooms were very comfortable.
“The house was very well equipped and extremely spacious.”
It was ideal for our all adult party because all the bedrooms were a good size.
“The property was lovely.”
It was warm and friendly with plenty of space. We woke up to a beautiful view and the children enjoyed visiting the farm animals. The owners made us feel really welcome.
“The cottage was immaculate, beautifully decorated, lovely touches, and the owners made us feel very welcome”
“Simon and Rebecca were excellent hosts.”
The property is magnificent. The fixtures and fittings were 5 star hotel standard. The little touches were brilliant, roses, chocolates, home made chocolate cake, birthday wishes etc were not expected. We loved and all our guests loved. Our grandson visited on the Sunday and loved the trampoline, seesaw and tree house ... None of which we expected. He also loved walking to the sheep.
“A wonderful peaceful environment with lots of space for kids (and adults) to run around and explore.”
The cottage had beautiful big rooms, everything was very clean and tidy. The owner very kindly provided us with kids plastic bowls and cutlery which came in handy as well as a hamper pack of goodies and lovely home-made muffins on arrival. We felt vey welcome and comfortable and are hoping to visit again next year.
“The cottage was clean, everything worked, the owners were available and helpful.”
When we did have a problem (switching the oven on), the owners were over to help in just a few minutes, and we got it working. There was ample kitchen equipment, which we have found not to be the case in some places we have stayed in previously.
“Absolutely nothing to fault !”
“Meadowbank Farm was perfect for celebrating my Mother's 80th birthday.”
The farmhouse was immaculate and fantastically equipped for hosting a large family evening. We visited Blenheim Palace on the Saturday which was great and made even better by the beautiful weather. We also used the Chipping Norton Tea company advertised on Manor Cottages website, Victoria was really accommodating and they set up a beautiful vintage afternoon tea for our return from Blenheim. On Sunday we were joined by additional guests for Sunday lunch and we easily managed to cook Sunday lunch for 18 with the fantastic equipment at Meadowbank FARM.
“This house provided everything we needed”
“Lovely large property with large rooms and plenty of space.”
Good quality fixtures and furnishings. Very generous welcome hamper.
“Lovely well equipped house on the edge of the Cotswolds, excellent sized rooms that accommodated our party of 14 very comfortably!”
\ Rebecca the owner was very friendly and went out of her way to make us welcome - top scores for her!\
“One of the best equipped cottages I've stayed in, it had everything we could possibly want (except for a griddle pan - the one thing I randomly wanted to use and wasn't there!”
!). The selection of outdoor games was especially good; great for a large party to enjoy the sunshine! Beds were comfy, good bath to bedroom ratio and a really lovely welcome pack including some freshly baked scones with cream and jam! Great size and location, plus the garden as we had a toddler to consider plus a baby and a load of adults.
“Fabulous property and wonderful welcome from owners.”
Brilliantly equipped kitchen
“Great location, well equipped property, perfect for large party of adults and plenty of room.”

“House provided with everything we needed.”
Good for kids (trampolin, slide, little house), plenty of space in and outside the house. Mrs Mata, June 2017.
“We had a fantastic stay.”
The cottage was a lovely base for our stay, very comfortable, clean and well furnished. Having a welcome basket of groceries was a really nice touch.
“: Lovely and warm on a cold Winter's weekend.”
“So good that I came back for a second stay which was just as fab as the first.”
“Booked the property for a family celebration.”
It proved to be the ideal choice for a group of twelve, ranging in age from 3 to 70. Plenty of space for everyone. Difficult to imagine how it could be improved as it was so well-equipped and furnished: a more than ample supply of kitchenware, crockery and glasses; comfortable seating areas; books and games galore for both indoors and out.
“Excellent farmhouse for either friends or family, we have stayed twice this year, the main reason is the excellent location for those travelling both from the North and the South, and the facilities.”
A ground floor flat ( part of the main house) for the elderly or less mobile, plenty of bathrooms and large bedrooms, and reception rooms and kitchen that are very user friendly. The house is warm, comfortable, with friendly and helpful owners who will go, the extra mile
“Accommodation and equipment excellent for a family.”
Mrs Stuckey, June 2017.
“Beautiful, clean, thoughtful food hamper”
“Excellently equipped house, nicely spaced for party of 12”
“The age range of our family was from 20 month to 90 years and the property suited our needs better than we could have imagined, especially the layout and size of all the rooms.”
The play area for the toddlers was a bonus and the extra kitchen for preparing the party.
“The house was absolutely fantastic, very clean and spacious and everything you needed was there.”
We booked this to celebrate both my husband's and my 60th birthdays and had extra guests for lunch on the Sunday (with the owners permission) and even with 22 people there it was not at all cramped. The gardens were big and there was plenty of outside seating. The younger kids enjoyed the play area and the older ones loved the pool table. We also had an easter egg hunt, the kids (and adults) spent a really enjoyable 1-1.5 hours searching for the eggs in the gardens. It was the best holiday home we have ever stayed in and had to prise some of the guests out as they did not want to leave!
“Good space for different family members with different interests, kids loved the pool table, we were never on top of each other, well equipped in general.”

About the location
Witney 4 miles; Burford 8 miles and Oxford 19 miles.
The thriving village of Bampton lies in the Thames Valley in the southern Cotswolds, amidst beautiful Oxfordshire countryside. Bampton is one of the oldest villages in England boasting a village shop, Post Office, butcher, and traditional pubs serving good food and real ales, all set around a pretty market square. Ancient customs can still be experienced with the regular morris dancing festivities, which have been enjoyed for over 600 years. Just four miles away is the riverside town of Witney, which offers many attractions including a weekly market dating back to the Middle Ages, an 18th century town hall, and Wychwood Brewery. Burford is possibly one of the most famous of the Cotswolds' locations. With its medieval bridge, old stone houses and attractive Tudor and Georgian frontages, Burford is justifiably one of the most picturesque towns in England. Often referred to as the 'Gateway to the Cotswolds', the town was originally a fortified Anglo-Saxon ford to be an important regional crossroads and wealthy wool town. With little changing over the centuries. Burford is now very popular with visitors, both for its beauty and history but also for it's shopping and antiques, and for the wide variety of places to eat, with restaurants, pubs and teashops. Oxford, the oldest university city in England, boasts interesting Botanical Gardens, museums and libraries, and plays host to many festivals and markets throughout the year. Enjoy a punt on the River Thames or take a boat trip on the River Cherwell. The ancestral home of Winston Churchill and the World Heritage Site of Blenheim Palace is just a short drive away, where many lovely walks can be enjoyed around the landscaped parkland. With so much nearby, Bampton provides a wonderful holiday destination.
