“Super property home from home comfort.”

Best bed I’ve ever slept in! I’ve chronic pain and I slept so much better . Everything is of a high standard and beautifully clean . Cozy and warm with plenty hot water for everyone. Super parking . We had a slight issue with the wifi upstairs and the lovely owner promptly came to help . We would definitely return on visiting the area . So much to do it’s a great base for Oxford and the Cotswolds. Don’t hesitate to book .

The property

One mile from the centre of the market town of Witney and located in the heart of the Oxfordshire village of Curbridge is the charming, freshly rebuilt Honeystones Cottage.

Honeystones has been transformed into high-end vacation accommodations that are roomy and will meet all your needs.

The home is set in expansive grounds, has enough of off-street parking in front, and a private, enclosed garden in the back.

The attractively decorated kitchen and dining area is located downstairs and makes for a pleasant gathering place.

This goes immediately to the generously sized garden if the weather is suitable.

Additionally, there is a welcoming sitting room on the ground floor, as well as a conservatory off the kitchen that is perfect for some private time.

A magnificent bedroom with an en suite bathroom is also available on the ground level, which is perfect for party members who may not be as mobile as they previously were.

There are two further bedrooms upstairs—one super king size double (this bed has zip and link so it can be put up as two singles if required—please advise at time of booking) and one single room—but please be warned that the stairs are steeper than you would typically find.

The family restroom can be found here as well.

If you decide that cooking while on vacation is overrated, Witney town centre is only 1.5 miles away and has a broad variety of pubs, restaurants, and cafés, so you will be well taken care of.

Escape to Oxfordshire with a stay at Honeystones Cottage.Famous Cotswold locations like Burford and Woodstock are close by, while Blenheim Palace, the birthplace of Winston Churchill, is only a short drive away. Overall, we believe that Honeystones is the perfect vacation spot for groups of friends and families looking to unwind for a few days.

Note: This property has a Good Housekeeping bond of £250.

About the location

CURBRIDGE

Witney 1.5 miles; Oxford 12 miles.

The thriving village of Curbridge lies in beautiful Oxfordshire countryside, on the edge of the Cotswolds. The village boasting the Lord Kitchener pub, which allows dogs and offers excellent meals at reasonable prices is located just 1.5 miles south of the ancient town of Witney and 12 miles from Oxford. The riverside town of Witney, mentioned in the Domesday Book, offers many attractions and amenities including a weekly market which dates back to the Middle Ages, a 16th century market square and 18th century town hall, allegedly designed by Sir Christopher Wren. Witney is also home to the Wychwood Brewery. The university city of Oxford, known as 'The City of Dreaming Spires', offers many attractions such as the oldest university teaching room, many museums, botanical gardens and the Bodleian Library. Oxford also plays host to many markets and festivals throughout the year. Blenheim Palace, the ancestral home of Winston Churchill is close by where you can enjoy the landscaped parkland designed by Capability Brown, the great lake and beautiful village of Woodstock. Just a little further afield are the beautiful Cotswold Wildlife Park offering many rare and endangered species, the Cotswold Water Park with its abundance of activities, Stratford-upon-Avon, the birthplace of William Shakespeare, Warwick and Leamington Spa, all offering a great day out for all the family. A great destination for a memorable holiday.

Please Note: the stairs in this property are steeper than normal, and may not be suitable for those with mobility issues (for the less mobile there is a king size bedroom with separate bathroom on the ground floor).
