    “The house is lovely.”

    However there were a couple of comments I would make. Ramp up the heating before guests arrive. I would also suggest heated under blankets on all of the beds as the beds felt cold / damp . The top floor was particularly cold. The heated towel rail did not work in the large bathroom in the master bedroom and though a heater was provided it wasn’t enough. Also the cupboard in the master, which is the only hanging space for clothes was so full of bags of laundry it was very difficult to hang ...

Anne Walters House is an impressive 19th century period property which sleeps six guests, in three spacious bedrooms, with two bathrooms.

Formerly the home of the neighbouring school's headmistress, the property was named after the daughter of the wealthy landowner who funded both the house and the school.

There is an abundance of character including stone mullion windows, an original stone arch, exposed beams and a cosy wood burning stove, and these features have been complemented by modern facilities such as wireless internet access, two Smart TVs and a well-equipped kitchen.

There is a beautifully maintained garden at the front of the property, and off-street parking is available for one car.
