Good location for visiting the Cotswolds we enjoyed our stay Very small kitchen space with low newell post above the work surface if you are over 6ft tall it’s a hazard as I found out Pity about the traffic noise from a major road less than 10 metres from the barn resonated through the barn

The Barn at Westhall Cottage was beautiful.

Eveything we needed. Super comfy bed, lovely balcony to sit and have a morning cup of tea, perfect porch area to sit when we got back from our walks. Loved watching all the wild life in the garden. The Barn is very close to Burford village, within a 15 min walk. The shortest walk was across a waymarked field, we were very lucky it did not rain during our stay so no muddy boots, so best route for us. Burford is beautiful, lots of pubs, cafes and shops. Lynn and Gareth, who own the barn, are a lovely couple, very friendly and close to hand if needed. All in all our stay here made our visit to the Cotswolds brilliant. Thank you Lynn and Gareth. Would highly recommend a stay there.

We enjoyed a most relaxing week at this comfortable property within walking distance of Burford.

Our hosts afforded us privacy, but were helpful and readily available if we needed them. We went to bed to the sound of hooting owls, and awoke to the sound of doves. We were impressed by the high quality of the equipment and fittings, not to mention the be beautiful artworks and ceramics. Burford Garden Co. was particularly worth a visit, with much more to discover in the village itself.

A lovely property, in a great location for visiting other beautiful Cotswolds towns and villages.

The accommodation is really well thought out and extremely well equipped for self catering. Although for some, the upstairs/downstairs living may be less convenient from a mobility point of view, as a couple in our later years, we managed and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Everything one would expect in a self catering break was more than adequately provided and the hosts too were very welcoming indeed.

Wonderful cottage in perfect location.

Quiet, comfortable and walking distance from village. Hosts are very generous with providing basic necessities. The only slight negative is you need to be careful using the narrow & steep staircase. Other then that, a perfect place for a stay!

Great place to stay.

Easy walking distance to Burford, but far enough out to be away from the hassle of a tourist village.

Fijne gezeliige cottage.

Alleen niet voor mensen die wat slechter ter been zijn aangezien je boven leeft en keuken en wc en uitgang allemaal beneden is, dus per dag loop je algauw 10 tot 20 keer trap op trap af. Ook de raampjes naast het bed kun je niet verduisteren. Daar komt erg veel licht binnen dus daar hebben we iets voor gehangen om niet te vroeg wakker te zin. Verder is het koken een minpunt. Geen fornuis maar koken in speciale stoompannen en dat is niet mijn ding. Verder een heerlijk bed, fijne stoelen en bank en alles schoon.

This was a little gem of a find.

It has so much to offer: privacy, views, comfort, appeal, location & a kitchen full of gadgets! It immediately felt like home. The bed was so comfortable. The weather was pretty awful for our visit so we spent more time in the barn than planned but that didn’t take any enjoyment away from our trip. If we had the sun we would have been sitting on the balcony or in the sunken garden. Just loved this place.

We loved the Barn.

It was quirky, comfortable bed, nice shower and soon got used to the cuisinart. We had to be careful going up and down the stairs but managed okay. We had a couple of really hot, sunny days and would have been nice to have a couple of recliner outdoor chairs for the verandah. Great location for visiting the Farmers Dog and all the beautiful villages. We would stay again

Property very nice with all amenities and facilities.

Owners carry on regardless of guests with busing themselves within the gardens surrounding the property. Area picturesque and quintessential old english. Premium prices charged in local town. Busy in peak season, then so was every Cotswold attraction visited, but not necessarily off putting.

We both had an amazing stay at your barn.

Every item was top notch, even though the kitchen was small, every item you could ever want was there. Even one's we had no idea how to use, luckily instructions were there too! Upstairs was very spacious. Instructions on how to get there were very confusing. We didn't know the area at all! Luckily the owner was available on phone and talked us in. We even became one of the family at the local pub, The Carpenter's Arms. We loved the walk into Burford over the fields and styles, l even made it with a new hip!

The Barn is a delightful spacious cottage in a beautiful garden setting, tucked away within a walled garden abundant with roses and many lovely shrubs/plants.

The location offers privacy and tranquility in a space sympathetic to wildlife and protection of nature. We enjoyed our stay immensely and wished we could have stayed longer. Thank you to Gareth & Lynn for welcoming us into your special space.

Great venue and we enjoyed our stay very much (thank you).

Would like a tea towel please (wasn’t sure if one wasn’t put out). We assumed (wrongly) when it said kitchen that it had a job/oven. Maybe others would benefit from having this made clear. We would certainly return.

Such a lovely property in the most delightful setting.

Every creature comfort is there for you to enjoy. Every seat is incredibly comfortable and inviting. You cannot help but appreciate the owners taste in furnishings. I had been a little concerned at the cooking arrangements but this was soon dispelled, to the point that I actually purchased a Cuisinart multi cooker. They are amazingly versatile. The area is so lovely and offers so much for walkers and those that enjoy getting away from the humdrum of usual high street shopping.

What a fantastic place to stay.

We absolutely loved the barn it was just so relaxing and we had everything we needed to enjoy our week's holiday. Loved the bed it was so comfortable and with luxury linen it was perfect. We had snow so lighting the log burner was a wonderful end to each day and it was an ideal place to watch the night skies as outside was very dark. Would highly recommend if you are visiting the Cotswolds. We will be returning soon.

I had a pleasant stay at the Barn which is very comfortable and well equipped and with luxury quality bed linen and towels, as well as the provision of luxury toiletries.

It is very well situated to visit the beautiful villages and countryside of the Cotswolds. There is noise from the road which is very close but it didn’t bother me too much. The verandah was a very pleasant area to sit enjoying the sunshine and garden, it would have been nice to have outdoor cushions to make the seating more comfortable. The short walk across the fields to Burford was delightful. A sign at the end of the drive might be a good idea as I drove past when I first arrived.

Could not have been a better place and time to spend our week away.

Super clean,super comfortable. Very quiet surroundings except a little road noise,but didn't bother us. Great outlook from the veranda,had breakfast out there everyday. A very big thank you to Lynne and Garath,super friendly couple. Would not hesitate to return.

We spent 2 nights at The Barn (Friday & Saturday).

It was very comfortable and cosy for a nice quiet weekend getaway, and a great place to explore the Cotswolds from. The Barn itself was perfect for 2 people; it felt luxurious and everything was of a high quality. We briefly met the owner who was super friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend.

A great place to stay with everything you need.

The accommodation was spot on and there was nothing that hadn’t been thought of. We noticed that Lynne and Gareth haven’t spared on the quality of the facilities in the barn and we loved that they were using products found locally. Definitely recommend and hopefully we’ll be back again soon. Thank you both for a great few days.

Delightful, well equipped, spotless property.

Delightful hosts who are very welcoming. Delightful area with so many places to visit and things to do. In one word delightful !

The Barn was lovely, small and romantic everything we needed was there.

The owners were helpful and kind, providing anything we required like BBQ and fuel, also recommending activities for our stay. Log Burner was amazing, for a May in England it has been very cold a wet compared to previous years so that’s helped. The stay was lovely I have no complaints. Would really recommend staying here if you’re a couple looking for a romantic getaway and want to see the English National Landscape that is the Cotswolds.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay with you and the cottage was so well equipped.

Only improvements on the note of cleanliness would be that the kitchen/ sink area could do with a thorough clean. There appears to be a black residue of dusting over the fire blanket, on top of the pictures and falling onto kitchen towel and utensils. Cobwebs under the shelving housing the kitchen jugs etc. We didn’t expect the traffic noise from the busy road but again this was a minor irritant. Burford is a stunning location and your gardens and grounds so beautiful so would definitely recommend to our friends and family.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here, it has everything you need for a relaxing and comfortable stay.

The bed and settee are particularly comfortable. Loved the log burner. Very helpful owner, we forgot our Cotswolds guide book and Arthur provided us with an assortment. The barn is in a great location for all the Cotswolds sights.

This lovely barn conversion is home from home, lovely and clean, comfortable bed, everything you need The only thing I did miss was a mirror in the bedroom, but will take one with me next time we visit, which will be very soon x

I had the most relaxing stay.

The barn offered the total holiday feel. The layout was very well designed, even down to the roof windows for privacy. The wood burner was so efficient with march still being a little on the chill side this soon warmed the room. The host was very welcoming , showing and explaining about the area and things of interest. I would of missed out on the wildlife park had it not been for his input..I thankyou. A lovely couples retreat which I will recommend highly and will most definitely visit again. Thankyou

Lovely quite little hideaway.

An exceptional place.

The barn is beautifully decorated, and very cosy. We wished we could have stayed longer.
