Saddlebacks Barn

The accommodation was perfect.

The owners were very nice and very helpful and nothing was to much trouble. We would certainly return again.

This is an amazing cottage with everything you would want for a holiday retreat.

It was well equipped, comfortable and spotlesly clean a credit to Fern and Jade. Ideal base for exploring the Cotswolds and surrounding areas. Looking forward to our next stay at Saddlebacks.

Extremely comfortable, clean and very well equipped cottage.

Enjoyed our stay here.

Very enjoyable week at Saddleback.

Bigger than pictures suggest. Situated in the tidiest farmyard I've seen. Very convenient for Oxford and the Cotswolds. Although 2 miles from Brize Norton, it is not on the flight path so not troubled by aircraft noise. Recommend the Baytree in Burford for eating out.

We throughly enjoyed our weeks stay over Easter in one of the very comfortable barn conversation on this welcoming and beautifully maintained small farm, which is on the very edge of the Cotswolds, minutes from Burford and within easy striking distance of many Cotswold places of interest.

Excellent, well appointed accommodation set in a wonderful, picturesque location.

An ideal base for exploring the Cotswolds. The family that own and run the cottages are lovely, friendly people who made us feel very welcome.

We enjoyed a relaxing stay in Saddlebacks Barn.

It was extremely clean and really comfortable. The bed was so comfy! Everything we needed to self-cater was supplied which was great. Our hosts were really friendly and the two dogs were so cute. We have recommended this cottage to our friends & hope to return sometime too.

A delightful cottage in a lovely location.

The property was very clean and comfy and the hosts very helpful and friendly

Everything about the stay was amazing.

The cottage/location was perfect, the place was spotless with lovely little touches. And the owners were very welcoming. 10 out 10 would definitely stay again.

A very lovely setting for the property which is very comfortable, quiet and relaxing.

It is not far from Witney which has lots of easy parking and is a large market town.

Very enjoyable stay with friendly owners and their pets.

Would certainly consider another stay if we come back to the area on holiday again.

Excellent.

Very comfortable and lovely surroundings. Owners were very welcoming and helpful. Highly recommended

A perfectly situated barn in a quiet, peaceful location yet close to picturesque landscapes and beautiful Cotswold villages.

The barn conversion was modern and clean with a well equipped kitchen and a comfortable bed. We thoroughly enjoyed our week and will definitely return.

Lovely peaceful place to stay

The owners were very helpful and couldn’t be more obliging.

Lovely accommodation, peaceful and a great location as a base to explore the surrounding areas.

We loved our Stay at Grove Farm.

We were looked after very well and would love to come back. Highly recomend this place.

Great accommodation within easy reach of Oxford and Burford.

Tastefully decorated with efficient appliances.

Clean, attractive and warm place immaculately kept.

Very easy to stay here; our second visit at Christmas. Lovely friendly hosts. Only drawback is the exit being on a very busy road but the place itself is very quiet and peaceful.

Fantastic cottage very well equipped, comfortable bed great bathroom.

Lovely outlook. Great owners and very helpful too. We had a wonderful holiday

The accommodation was excellent and I would highly recommend Saddlebacks Barn to anyone considering a stay in West Oxfordshire.

The accommodation was spacious and clean and the owners were very welcoming and happy to help in any way they could. It is also ideally located for easy access to a wide range of places across Oxfordshire and the Cotswolds.

We have booked many cottages over the years with Sykes, this has to be in our top two.

Excellent decor, and all essentials included, and a secure safe environment. We were greeted and made welcome by the owners, who live on site, and were available if required. The Cottage is all on one level, and parking space is easily available and secured by an electrically operated gate at the entrance to the farm. If this Cottage is in an area you are looking to visit, then I can highly recommend it.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Saddlebacks, it was in an attractive setting, was clean & tidy and provided all we needed to make our stay so enjoyable.

Our hosts Jade & Fern were very welcoming & friendly. The location was perfect as it allowed us access to Oxford and the Cotswolds as well as National Trust Properties and some good walks in the local area. Saddlebacks is a treasure of a cottage.

The cottage was beautifully clean, comfortable and well equipped for all your needs.

It is a great base for many of the areas of beauty you can visit in the Cotswolds. The farm it is on is an absolute dream, I fell in love with it the whole experience of our stay. Jade and her family went well beyond what was expected to ensure we had a great holiday. We definitely will be back.

Really nice cottages maintained to a high standard and in a beautiful setting.

We were made very welcome from day one and had an instant friend in Maisie who soon became a regular visitor. The cottage is in a good location and close to Whitney and Burford as well as the beautiful Cotswolds. We had a lovely stay and would highly recommend.

The property was beautifully clean and well equipped, everything you could need was provided.

We found the bed a little firm, but that is just personal preference. Jade was very friendly and welcoming when we arrived, and Alfie and Millie (the dogs) were very friendly too. The location close is perfect, remote enough for a peaceful break, but close enough to the A40 to explore. We had a wonderful week, and would recommend it to anyone, and will certainly come back if we intended staying in the area again.

We had a great holiday at Saddlebacks Barn.

It is a really lovely location. It was well equipped and we would highly recommend the Barn and the Cotswolds.

I had an excellent week at Saddlebacks.

It's a great location and the barn was spotless with all the facilities anyone would need. I will be recommending it to family and friends and hope to return myself. Jade gave a nice welcome upon arrival but then left us to it unless we needed anything.

We enjoyed a great week at " Saddlebacks ".

The owner Jade introduced herself to us just after our arrival and gave us lots of useful information. Although this is a working Farm you never felt you were in the way.The property is very well equipped and in a very good location for exploring the Cotswolds. We would definitely return

We enjoyed a lovely stay at Saddlebacks.

Excellent accommodation and friendly and helpful hosts. Thank you.

Excellent modern barn conversion style of property tastefully decorated and furnished.

Very pleasant owners who were attentive as needed. We are likely to return!

Saddlebacks Barn is one of three converted stables for two people, within a farm complex.

They are finished to a high, very comfortable standard with every thing you need. The owners (different generations of the same family) all live on site. They are all helpful and attentive to your needs, and you see them daily around the farm as you come and go. The farm is just off the A40 and is on the edge of the Cotswolds and is within an hour of Gloucester, Cheltenham and Oxford. The two closest villages of Minster Lovell in one direction and Brize Norton in the other are a five minuet drive or half hour walk, where there are a choice of pubs and shops. We had a lovely relaxing week here and would definitely recommend it.

A superb cottage for two, spotlessly clean, well equipped and very comfortable in lovely surroundings.

Absolutely fantastic location to explore the Cotswolds, beautiful barn with everything you need for a comfortable stay and wonderful host's ,we had a brilliant holiday cycling we highly recommend.

We stayed at Saddleback barn from the 14th May till 21st may and it was excellent.

There was everything you needed and it was spotlessly clean and very comfortable. The owners were very friendly and helpful. They have two lovely dogs Alfie and Millie who came to see us often. We would def stay there again and highly recommend it. Richard and Jennie

Property was well equipped clean and very welcoming.

Owners were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. If you like the countryside most definitely the place to stay. Would definitely recommend 100%.

A gorgeously appointed cottage being cared for by a lovely family in a beautiful setting.

We were greeted on arrival and wished safe journey on exit. Although this s a working farm and saddlebacks is the middle converted stable of three there was no noise from our neighbours or the working of the farm . It was a quiet and relaxing retreat . Short walk to the bus stop for a trip into Oxford along grassy verges , beyond the bus stop the pathways of Minster Lovell took over and it was an easier 20 minute walk to local pub for excellent food , A torch is provided and the bus timetables are easily accessible via their website , plus there is a free multi-storey car park in Whitney so your car can be left there safely while you bus hop. Great holiday, fab weather for January and a great part of the country. We couldn’t have asked for anything more . Even the farms two dogs liked to come and say hello occasionally .

Absolutely anything you could have wished for at the property was there, the owners have thought of everything, we had a lovely, restful holiday

Lovely accommodation.

Yes - another light in the sitting room area would be good.

But. Very small thing to Mention. All went well. Thanks!

Super hosts.

Beautiful accommodation. Very modern, clean and comfortable. Would highly recommend for a trip to the Cotswolds.

Lovely cottage.

Fabulous property.

Everything you could ever need all finished to a very high standard. Jade & Fearne were very friendly and helpful. Will definitely stay again.

Excellent peaceful location, owner’s very friendly would definitely recommend

The cottage is at the top of our favourites list!

! The cottage was faultless in cleanliness. It’s position was great and with the nicest and most helpful of people always accessible.

Lovely outlook at the back farm animals in the field and at the front a picturesque court yard.

Owners were very welcoming.

I stayed in a one bedroom barn in late Jan 2021.

Initially booked due to the high specification, decor and price. The barn did not disappoint. The owners were extremely helpful and friendly prior to and during the stay. I would highly recommend staying at any of their barn properties. Communication with Sykes cottages was difficult prior to the stay. They didn’t respond to any emails.

Spotlessly clean, comfortable cottage, in a good location for local attractions.

We were delighted that this cottage was available despite Corona virus.

Everything was done to follow the guidance and we found everything to be of a very high standard. The owners were friendly, informative and helpful. They even told us about a Spitfire that was due to fly close by the cottage. It was a delight to stay there. We also loved seeing the horses, donkeys and other animals!

Lovely location, the accommodation was excellent as were the hosts.

The cottage was perfect for our needs, spotlessly clean, so felt very safe. Very peaceful setting with beautiful views. The latest addition to the farm, the donkeys were a joy to watch.

These are lovely cottages in a lovely, quiet setting but not far from lots of places of interest.

There are some lovely villages, walks, places of interest and Oxford isn’t far away.

The farm, cottage and family who run it are fabulous.

Decor, fixtures and style are to a very high standard. Impeccably clean and also very impressed at how, even though they have had to adapt to covid and remove some creature comforts etc.. it still exceeded our expectations. Would thoroughly recommend.

Absolutely loved this beautiful barn conversion.

Very comfortable, great location and friendly welcoming owners. Excellent quality furnishings and bedding. A home away from home. We were reluctant to leave. We will recommend it to friends back in Australia. Alan & Sharon Kennedy

It was a very nice week.

All of the people we met (owners) were friendly and exceedingly helpful. The instructions that were left were excellent but we were helped in addition to those instructions.

The barn is beautifully kept, spotlessly clean and very comfortable.

Was close to many activities and outings. We really enjoyed our stay. Thank you!

Saddlebacks is perfectly located for exploring the eastern part of the Cotswolds.

The very friendly owners have created the perfect farmyard setting for the three cottages on the site, Inside, Saddlebacks is furnished and equipped to a very high standard. The cleanliness and presentation of the accommodation could not be bettered. The views from the farm are amazing and from inside the cottage you look across the immaculate farmyard or fields of horses. We hope to return soon. Cilla and Malcolm

Kind welcome.

Quiet place with animals, one of the dog (Millie) is curiuos and very funny. Very good location to visit lovely sites in the cotswolds.

Great experience again.

Really enjoyed chatting with the hosts and all of the animals!

From start to finish the ease of getting in the accommodation and comfort was outstanding.

We will definitely be back for another visit. Many thanks

Being able to sit outside in the beautiful sunshine was an added bonus.

We also had the family dog Millie come to join us in the sun which was lovely as she’s very friendly. It was nice and peaceful at the cottage which is just what we needed.

We thoroughly enjoyed the peace and tranquility of the property.

John, the owner, met us the evening we arrived and gave us a quick run down of the unit and the surrounding amenities. This was very helpful. Even though the owners live on site, we hardly felt their presence, and were able to have quiet enjoyment of the property. The facilities were first class, very modern and very clean. We would recommend this property without hesitation.

It was clean, well decorated and comfortable.

Excellent cottage

the accommodation was delightful

The cottage was well decorated, furnished, well equipped, and comfortable for our stay.

All the linen, bedding and towels were high quality and very clean. Remarkable attention to details e.g. the availability of a shower mat to prevent slipping in the shower, the manuals for the kitchen appliances were available. The pint of milk in the fridge and the packet of biscuits were appreciated. A box with leaflets of the surrounding places and amenities was available and very useful.

The level of finish on the cottage and facilities are stunning, very well presented and homely.

Very stylish, impeccably presented cottage.

Everything was just right, quality of furnishings and fittings, location, tranquility and friendliness of the owners.\ \

The cottage was immaculately clean and very well equipped and the owners were very nice.
