Description

Rarely is it possible to stay in an historic and significant property, but One Masons Court is just that - the oldest house in Stratford upon Avon.

Dating back to the 15th Century this venerable and incredibly beautiful building is bang in the centre of one of England's most important (historically) towns.

Located approx 1 min level walk from Stratford's High Street you are a heartbeat from the centre with plenty of things to do and keep you occupied.

Step off the main street, through a private walkway and suddenly the town is behind you, and you enter a small courtyard shared with a few other historic homes, peace!

Inside, it is meticulously presented - smart furnishings and colours mix well with incredible period features to create a light home ideal for families as much as couples.

The kitchen has everything you need, should decide to 'stay in' and cook (why would you...?!).

The cosy living area has seating for four people with a 42in wall mounted TV.

Up the old stairs to two good sized bedrooms and a great, contemporary bathroom with roll top bath and walk in shower - all with slick chrome fittings.

As "bolt-holes" go this is as good as we have EVER seen.

History and fun await in this top-of-the range Stratford holiday home and we can't imagine staying in a hotel ever again!

It was a lovely property.

Lots of character on the outside less so inside. Upstairs had more character and the whole property was very comfortable and remarkably peaceful considering its location. The kitchen had everything we needed except scales and thankyou for the biscuits and milk The location was absolutely ideal we parked the car on arrival and didn't go near it until our departure.

Our second stay here at 1 Masons Court.

Lovely little touches like coffee pods, milk, super soft towels, which were lovely. Unfortunately we would agree that the house needs a good scrub - very dusty, fittings in bathroom need a good polish, skirting boards dirty, grubby touch points, stains on carpets and seats. This is such a shame as this is a beautiful home, perfect for a getaway, a real rare gem! It wouldn't put us off coming, but would make me check out elsewhere first.

I stayed at this property more or less a year ago… what a difference another year makes!

The dirty floor, carpets, stained rug and furniture, marks on glassware, stains on tiles in the shower and around the toilet, the clogged drain in the shower, the watered down handwash in the bathroom, one piece of cheap hotel soap with which we had to make do for the lack of shower gel…. Appalled that I paid £200 per night for this and I have no doubt my review will not be included amongst the 5 star reviews dating back to 2025 - perhaps it’s time for the owners and your company to rethink just how much value for money they provide? I certainly won’t be using your company or staying at this property again. The only positive was the clean bed linen - until I stripped the bed linen as requested and I was confronted with the stained duvet….seriously?!
