“Enjoyed our stay in this lovely comfortable cottage it’s in a quiet village and a good base for visiting other places nearby.”

The orange juice, milk and biscuits were a lovely touch. The kitchen is well equipped if you want to cook, we only prepared Breakfast here as we ate out on our day trips to other places. There is a nice big well maintained garden with plenty of seating areas, our three Grandchildren loved playing out in garden. The problem for us was the very thin blind in the main bedroom which kept no light out at all, Your asked to strip beds (5) fully before you leave we have never been asked to do this in other properties. We felt rushed as the cleaning lady arrived before 10am Over all we had a great stay here and would recommend it.

Thank you for providing us with feedback on your stay. We are glad to hear that you overall enjoyed your stay, and we appreciate your comments regarding the main bedroom blind. Our guests are asked to strip the beds to assist our housekeepers during changeovers. We hope that you will stay with us again one day in the future. Best wishes, Manor Cottages. Property Owner

The property

Lavender Cottage, is a true favourite with us at Manor Cottages!

A period property that is so welcoming when you arrive and one which has retained its charm thanks to the care the owners show - unsurprising given that the cottage has been in the family for generations!

It is kept spotless inside and out and styled very much in keeping with the building's history and style - it's appeal is that it is cosy, warm and beautifully comfortable.

The rooms throughout are all a good size, light and bright; in our opinion an ideal choice for a family getaway.

It's a very peaceful location, it has a large garden to the rear which has fruit trees, a large lawn and a variety of places to sit and relax, it's a little gem.

One thing that caught our eye (strange admittedly...!) was the fantastic vegetable garden across the road, it's a work of art! Situated on the edge of a peaceful village and surrounded by some of the most beautiful Northern Cotswolds countryside, this holiday cottage offers an excellent quality of accommodation across two floors, packed with period features as well all of the modern conveniences you'd expect.

We highly recommend this cottage, it offers a very desirable destination and an ideal base for a Cotswold holiday.

The local pub/ restaurant and shop are only a 10 minute walk away, while the newsagent, butcher and bakery are about 15 mins walk away.

Note: This property has a Good Housekeeping bond of £100.
