“Beautiful home in a stunning setting,the views are wonderful.”

The owners have done an exceptional job on the conversion and I would recommend a stay here for anyone who enjoys walking, visiting the villages of the Cotswolds or even a trip to places like Stratford on Avon an easy 30 minutes drive away. If we go back to the area it will be a first choice for holiday accommodation.

It comfortably accommodated 2 families of 8 people and one small dog! Highly recommended with no need to search for any other properties if you’re visiting the Cotswolds, you will not be disappointed!

“An excellent New year break in a spectacular setting.”

Ridge Barn is one of the best places we have stayed in it is spacious and finished to a very high standard. We were lacking for nothing, except perhaps a potato peeler and a masher. It was great to find showers that are powerful with easy controls and rooms with their own temperature control. The surrounding area is stunning and great for walks, the view from the sofa through the double doors is breathtaking at dawn and dusk and it is very peaceful. The owners and family still live on the farm and they are warm, friendly and helpful. We cannot recommend the place highly enough. If you like the countryside and quaint villages this is a perfect place to stay and explore the stunning Cotswolds. We will definitely be looking to rebook another stay.

The property

Situated on a working family farm near the village of Honington, close to Shipston on Stour, Ridge Barn is a beautiful ground floor barn conversion which sleeps eight guests in four elegant bedrooms, two of which have en-suites.

Formerly the farm’s milking parlour and dairy, the property has been lovingly renovated and features stylish interiors and modern facilities including a wood burning stove, wireless internet access, a Smart TV, well-equipped kitchen and underfloor heating throughout.

There is an enclosed garden at the front and parking is available for up to four cars.

The large kitchen, dining room and lounge are a great open plan space for socialising and dining with family and friends.

There are pocket doors between the kitchen and dining room if a little privacy between the rooms is required.

Set in wonderful countryside on the edge of the North Cotswolds just three miles from the charming market town of Shipston-on-Stour, Ridge Barn is an ideal base for a relaxing holiday.

Once a thriving wool town, Shipston on Stour is now home to a variety of independent shops, pubs and restaurants including The Bower House which was named one of the best 50 places for a Sunday roast in the UK.

Surrounded by stunning countryside, there are many cycle routes and footpaths on the farm's doorstep and the Centenary Way long distance walking trail passes through the neighbouring villages of Whatcote and the Tysoes, the former benefitting from a Michelin starred pub.

Ridge Barn is ideally placed for exploring the many lovely towns and villages of the North Cotswolds such as Chipping Campden, Moreton-in-Marsh, Ebrington and Broadway, as well as some of Warwickshire’s finest attractions including historical Stratford-upon-Avon, the impressive Warwick Castle, the Cotswolds Distillery and National Trust owned Upton House and Gardens.

Further afield destinations such as Oxford, Cirencester and Blenheim Palace are easily accessible for day trips.
