“Lovely cottage in the heart of the village.”

Loved the wood burner. The Xmas tree and lights were a lovely touch. Used the sun inn and the gate hangs high both nice pubs.

“Hook Norton is a lovely village to stay in.”

The area is ideal for getting to the Cotswolds and the big attractions like Blenheim Palace. The cottage is very well stocked and extremely clean. Parking is tight but there is a hard standing area for you to park on and as we met a neighbour he was very pleased that we were using it rather than parking on the road, as very few spaces there and the locals use those spaces. I would suggest a meal in the Sun Inn and a trip to Hook Norton brewery.

We found the cottage a little tiny, but that's expected. We couldn't fault it apart from no telephone reception in cottage. And would have been nice if tSky or Virgin available on tv.

“This cottage was a true hidden gem!”

Would recommend to couples and young families alike for either a romantic getaway or a family break. My daughter was enthralled by everything; from the selection of games under the sofa, the books in her bedroom, to the friendly cats popping into the garden to say hello. Amazing hospitality at the Sun Inn and the most friendly of neighboursto chat to also. Book up without hesitation, we yearn to return here! Everything is on hand either in walking distance or a short drive away for a wonderful short break.

“This place was absolutely perfect for 3 people.”

The property was stunning and the town was incredibly quaint. My only qualm was that the garden is not the one in the pictures and was actually a shared garden but it wasn't an issue it was still a cute garden and the neighbours were very friendly.

“The cottage was situated in a lovely location, the village and surrounding area are beautiful.”

The brewery tour is worth a visit, so are the local pubs for food and there are a number of walks around the cottage. The cottage was lovely and cosy and we enjoyed our stay. The cottage cleanliness in our opinion could have been better and beds are not particularly comfy but it still didn't deter us from having a lovely holiday.

The cottage had everything we needed and it was exactly as per the description. The village was beautiful, very quiet but the local village shop and few pubs catered for all our needs. The property

Hooky Cottage is a gorgeous thatched cottage situated close to the centre of this lovely village, itself located in the northern part of the Cotswolds.

The cottage has a long history and has a wealth of period features that give it real character.

Naturally the thatch is very appealing (and rare!), but the beams, wood burning stove and Cotswold stone walls give the cottage a real homely, cosy feel that sets it apart from many others.

The cottage is ideal for two, but can easily accommodate an extra person as there is a second bedroom.

The owners have undertaken some recent updates and these give it a welcoming feel, mixing 'period' and 'modern' in a tasteful way.

There is a small patio area to the rear along with a separate south facing garden area. Please note the property has a narrow, steep staircase (there is a fixed handrail) , may not be suitable for anyone with limited mobility.

With some great pubs moments away and proximity to superb walks on your doorstep, this is an ideal 'rural retreat' for a couple or couple with a young child.

A picturesque village with many honey-coloured historic buildings, thatched cottages, a thriving community and its very own steam driven brewery, the last of its kind in the country. The village boasts a well-stocked shop, Post Office, several pubs and restaurants and many lovely walks can be enjoyed from the village with the D'Arcy Dalton Way passing through the village. The market town of Chipping Norton lies south of the village in the Cotswold Hills, plays host to many festivals throughout the year, has an abundance of shops, cafes and restaurants as well as a theatre and the oldest golf course in Oxfordshire.
