“Pheasants Rise Apartment - perfect for a couple or single person.”

Self-contained, cosy and allot of light via large Velux windows and normal windows at each end of the 1st floor . One feels safe and it’s private. Excellent shower and kitchen! Centrally located and a hop away by car from Ross-on-Wye and many nearby woods for walking with or without a dog. Very pleasant owner. All round summer or winter - it’s ideal.

“The Pheasants loft was so peaceful and the perfect environment to unwind.”

We were left with a really nice welcome pack, the bed was comfy and everything we needed was at hand. The area had plenty of attractions. We visited Raglan castle, Goodrich castle ,Tewkesbury Abbey and various parts of The Forest of Dean. Ross on Wye had lots of interesting shops, cafes, pubs and restaurants along with some art galleries with paintings for sale.

“What a gorgeous place to stay!”

The apartment is extremely comfortable and incredibly clean. Everything you could want is there. The welcome basket contains some lovely treats and there was a mini bottle of milk in the fridge. The furniture and furnishings are all top quality - it looked good on the photos but was even better in real life! We heard owls in the woods and saw plenty of other birdlife. Sadly the weather wasn’t kind enough to allow us to sit outside but the little garden areas were very cute. Can’t recommend enough.

“A truly wonderful property, spotlessly clean, lovely welcome pack and the hospitality of Tim and Lesley was fantastic.”

We stopped over the hot Whitsun bank holiday and Tim went above and beyond and left us an air con unit. The outside space was so quiet, private and relaxing. Plenty of fabulous walks from the doorstep. Highly recommend the Lyne Down cider barn, where we happily ate their delicious wood fired pizza in the orchard. Also recommend the delicious Sunday lunch at the local Moody Cow pub. Thanks for a wonderful stay.

The 'welcome' basket was much appreciated. The decor was beautiful and the whole apartment was spotlessly clean, bed and sofa both extremely comfortable, very light and airy and the area was lovely and peaceful. A really powerful shower. Great private outdoor seating area with comfortable chairs. Tim, the host, was most welcoming and helpful. We will definitely visit again.

“From the moment we arrived until the moment we left the apartment took our breath away The decor was amazing Not one thing was out of place.”

The sofa, chair and bed were so comfy Not a spec of dust anywhere We had a lovely welcome basket on arrival. We had everything we needed for our week away and everything was of top quality We didn’t get to meet the owners as they was really busy but if we needed any help we still got it within minutes The whole area was gorgeous. Plenty to do and see and it’s all so peaceful Will return without a doubt

“Wonderful property in a beautiful location.”

It had all the things you could want and lots of thoughtful extra touches. The owner lives next door and is really helpful and nothing is too much trouble. Really peaceful setting. Loved listening to the owls and pheasants at dawn. Only thing I might suggest for others is if you are not used to navigating hard flooring in socks, bring slippers or indoor shoes as the upstairs and staircase are laminate and the downstairs is tile

“Wow this little find is an incredible space.”

Lovely welcome and lovely personal Hereford touches. Being a local from a long childhood time ago it was lovely to return to the Wye area and stay in a beautiful place. Attention to detail very much at the heart of this stay. Warm and design was well thought and all needs met. Clean and very throughout for kitchen utensils. Everything you need! Really felt like I was the first to stay. Shops are a drive but I had all my food, and the cider factory was a lovely walk through quiet lanes, there are options for Three Choirs trail and daffodil too. Quiet and rural retreat, just what I wanted for a country get away with my little four legged friend. Lovely to listen to the Owls and country wildlife. Thank you my attentive hosts. We will return,

“We absolutely loved our stay at Pheasants Rise.”

The property is very cosy and was in immaculate condition. All cutlery clean and neatly laid out and the owner Tim very kindly provided bread, milk and other goodies absolutely brilliant after a long journey and late arrival. We didn’t get a chance to relax in the beautiful gardens but hopefully next time. We highly recommend this property to anyone looking to stay in Herefordshire.

“Fantastic accommodation!”

I booked Pheasant Rise in the hope for some R&R, and it absolutely delivered. Myself and my labradoodle pup enjoyed our stay very much, and the welcome gifts upon arrival were very well received :-) We enjoyed fantastic walks, which are on the doorstep (using the foot path just behind the lodge), which takes you into a great forest area and open fields with amazing views. We also enjoyed walking in Mitchell Troy and along the river Wye. Tim and family were on hand if needed, but Pheasant Rise had everything we needed, and was immaculately clean and cosy! Will definitely be back!

“A beautiful studio-style apartment above a barn in a wonderful part of England.”

Enter the new, but traditional-style timbered building and downstairs is modern bathroom with a large shower, loo and washbasin. Upstairs there’s a roomy, light, airy, in-the-eaves space with open-plan kitchen/ living room/bedroom. The kitchen is well equipped and includes a microwave, dishwasher and Nespresso machine. The space is dog-friendly and four-legged friends will love the amazing walks on the doorstep. Especially recommended is the walk down to old Yatton Chapel - an atmospheric abandoned 12th-century place of worship with an empty medieval farmhouse next door.

“We had a wonderful time exploring the Wye Valley.”

On arrival at Pheasants Rise we were delighted with the Apartment. Beautifully designed and presented with meticulous attention to detail. The bed was extremely comfortable. The bathroom was a joy to use. Throughout the apartment there is underfloor heating which makes it very luxurious. The kitchen has everything you could possibly need with a lovely welcome pack of local produce. Outside there is a beautiful area with comfortable seating where we were able to enjoy the red kites flying above and hear the sound of the pheasants. Having use of a charging point for our electric car was wonderful. Pheasants Rise is fabulous.

“Such a lovely little find .”

Beautiful surroundings. Tim introduced himself on arrival & we wasn’t disturbed all week . Tim responded to questions we had right away . Bed was so so comfy , tele has Netflix ,signed in to other apps no problem . Very modern decor . Underfloor heating which was nice in the morning . Woke up to birds singing away every morning .
