“Lovely cottage and great location.”

“The cottage was comfortable and had a great deal of character however the sitting room and conservatory/dining room were considerably smaller than they appeared in the photos on the website.”

We were very disappointed to find the that the ‘wood-burner’ in the sitting room was actually gas and not a real wood-burner an that the own fires elsewhere in the house were ornamental and could not be used. Three of the four bedrooms were very spacious and comfortable. The bathroom was also a good size but the shower room was a little on the small side. Tetbury is a lovely little town. Lots of pubs and cafes and a lovely walking trail on the doorstep. Cirencester and Bath, both beautiful places, are nearby and well worth a visit. We won’t return to Chipping steps due to there not being a real fire but Id that doesn’t bother you it’s a nice place to stay.

“Absolutely wonderful house for our annual girls getaway, warm, cosy, beautifully decorated with gorgeous bedding and lovely touches.”

The location of the property is perfect for a quick stroll into Tetbury and was very quiet. We all really enjoyed our stay and would love to return Many, many thanks X

“Eight of us stayed here for a weekend whilst visiting the Royal International Air Tattoo at RAF Fairford.”

The cottage was absolutely perfect for our group of 6 adults and two teenagers. Really enjoyed just sitting in the wonderful little garden having a cold beer after spending the day watching the air display. Everything you could need to cook was available so we cooked two days and visited the Royal Oak for dinner on the Saturday which is a short walk away. Will definitely consider booking again for next year as it is in a beautiful little village that has everything you need including a large Tesco and a couple of pubs.

“Beautiful cottage, but ground floor rooms no where near big enough for 8 adults, only 5 seats in lounge plus window seat and only 6 seats at dining room table, photos on site make the cottage look much bigger than it is, think info should also say about stairs being very steep and twisty, bedrooms and bathrooms were great with a constant supply of hot water.”

the cottage was beautiful and so well maintained. we had an amazing time and would very much book again. The attention to detail in the cottage was amazing we had everything we need inside the cottage and in the garden and play room at the back. it was s perfect setting for a perfect family occasions

“Sykes responded almost instantly to replace an item that had stopped working, which was brilliant.”

We felt that the communal areas of the cottage could only just accommodate six adults. It wasn't easy for us all to be comfortable in the sitting room. That said, it was a very nice property in a great location.

TETBURY

Cirencester 10 miles.

Tetbury retains a wealth of character within its ancient streets. The town’s origins date back to 681, but it was during the Middle Ages that it flourished as one of the major markets for The Cotswold wool trade. Nowadays The Market Hall is still home to a busy general market every Wednesday, whilst the town as a whole is something of a mecca for antique hunters with several shops in the town and regular fairs in the vicinity. Closeby is the Forestry Commission’s Westonbirt Arboretum, one of the largest collections of rare shrubs and trees in Europe, whilst further afield (but still within easy driving distance) are the elegant Regency cities of Bath and Cheltenham, Shakespeare’s Stratford and other attractions such as the internationally renowned Slimbridge Wildfowl Trust.
