Overlooking Howell's Mere, Sparrowhawk House is an impressive, striking holiday home set in the heart of the Cotswolds Water Park - an eco haven, rich in nature, wildlife and traditional charm and, in our opinion, an absolutely exceptional choice for families.

This lakeside house sleeps 4 in two en-suite bedrooms, each overlooking a private deck and lake beyond whilst upstairs the vast open plan space, a room which is flooded with light thanks to the wall of glass that also looks towards the lake.

This room is very much the focal point of the property with super smart, contemporary furnishings creating a sense of peace while you soak up the views.

We were particularly attracted to the uber-kitchen which is super-smart.

To help you keep healthy and the kids occupied, you've got access to an indoor pool including a gym, sauna and steam room (plus some treatments too!) alternatively you could pop to the bar/restaurant Balihoo which serves all day most of the year which is just 5 mins walk away.

This is a wonderful home, bring your bikes, your boots and swimmers and you'll have a wonderful trip.

Situated in the heart of the Cotswolds, The Cotswold Water Park is an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, covering 40 square miles and made up of over 140 lakes surrounded by picturesque Cotswold villages, historic market towns and an area of lakes larger than the Norfolk Broads. The Cotswold Water Park is Britain's largest water park and offers a wide range of activities including boating, water skiing, fishing (some of the finest trout fishing in the country), cycling, walking, golf and horse riding. Also on the estate can be found a swimming pool, sauna, tennis courts, croquet lawn, children's play area and for nature lovers the water park offers an abundance of bird and animal life on the three nature reserves, which can be observed throughout the year. The beautiful Roman town of Cirencester, Gateway to the Cotswolds, is just 4 miles away with excellent shopping, restaurants, ancient buildings and museums.

Following the latest Government Guidelines, Habitat Escapes have published new check in procedures.

Track and Trace: For Habitat Escapes to support the NHS track and Trace system, EVERY person entering Lower Mill Estate must have completed our Track and Trace Health Questionnaire, we must have details for every single person attending site. Without this information, entry may be declined until the information has been submitted. The information MUST be submitted at least 48 hours before arrival. This will be sent prior to arrival

Parking Permits must also be completed prior to arrival.

Due to the current climate, Habitat Escapes will not be able to give persons the form or parking permits on arrival and guests will be asked to remain outside of the Estate until they have been submitted. For ease of use we have created a digital form for all to use and the link will be sent prior to arrival.

Please ensure all forms are completed prior to arrival, failure to do so may mean you are denied entry and turned away. Please note no refunds will be given if entry is denied due to non-completion of forms.

Updates for on-site facilities following the latest Government Guidelines:
Social Distancing: Please respect social distancing of 2m for all staff and any other site users unless permission has been given and additional safety measures are utilised.

The government has confirmed that the Spa, Pool and gym facilities must remain closed until further notice.

Play Areas: The Government has confirmed that we may re-open outdoor play areas.

Soft Play Area: The Government has confirmed that this must remain closed until further notice.

Open Water: Whilst we understand that the swimming pool facilities will be closed upon a return to the Estate, and you may then be tempted to swim in the lakes, we must remind you that open water swimming on the lakes at Lower Mill Estate can be dangerous and if any person chooses to partake in open water swimming, they must be aware of the following:
1. The open water bodies are NOT supervised by LME staff
2. British Standard buoyancy aids must be worn by all Homeowners, Guests and Renters wishing to use the lakes and users are encouraged to make themselves aware of the location of throw lines which are situated at appropriate locations at the edge of lakes
3. Swimmers should ensure that they do not enter the water bodies without supervision from others of their household
4. Swimmers will be asked politely to leave the water bodies if it is believed that the activities taking place are dangerous or no buoyancy aids are worn
5. No inflatables to be used on the lakes at any time
