About Time Cottage

Wonderful location.

Beautifully clean, excellent service all round, we can’t wait to return..lovely touches like bread, jam and biscuits on arrival added to an already great house, Thankyou x

Beautiful cottage, well equipped and spotless.

Unfortunately, my wife fell in the shower and we had to return home to take her to hospital. The team were really helpful and kind.

The house was perfect for us, exceeded our expectations, Bedrooms were all of a good size, having 4 bath/shower rooms was a real bonus.

First floor lounge area was great, dining area ideal for meals and playing board games, Pool and football table nice addition, seating area good for those watching or playing games on the TV or just wanting to relax. Kitchen was a good size having two fridges a bonus. Decking area covers the width of the house nice to sit outside on warm evenings, the grassed area not that large but adequate. Garden private. Was concerned re the spiral staircase, but it was fine, non slip and the treads were deep enough at the widest point. There are stairs outside that lead from the drive to the back garden. Parkend is a nice village with two good friendly pubs plus a local shop/cafe where we enjoyed breakfast on a few occasions, also nice walks nearby. Welcome pack of essentials was a nice touch. Would definitely recommend.

Unable to comment on the property as we were unable to attend the booking due to an illness within our group.

Tried multiple times to contact Skyes Cottages with zero feedback or anyone getting back to me. The overall service was poor; I would not recommend this website whatsoever. Very quick to keep asking me for feedback, so this is the second time I’ve left negative feedback. Hopefully, someone gets back to me.

3 generations of our family enjoyed a wonderful week at About Time cottage.

The house was amazing, so spacious with a fabulous communal area where the pool table and table football were very well used! The beds were very comfortable and the rooms were cool during a hot week. We ate on the terrace every evening where there was plenty of room for everyone. The village shop and coffee shop next door are great and very friendly, as is the local pub where we ate one evening! There are wonderful walks from the doorstep and we also visit Symonds Yat, Monmouth and Tintern Abbey - all well worth a visit! All in all, we had an excellent week and hope to return soon! Thank you!

Great property.

We are a group of six friends and stayed for four days. The house was very clean and well-arranged with a lovely big kitchen. There are 2 fridges, one integrated under-counter and another tall, free-standing; perfect for all the food we brought with us. There’s also an integrated under-counter freezer. The pool table and living room set-up is a well thought out social space, although we found the wall TV quite small in relation to the room size, but we only watched the football (world cup) so it wasn’t a massive problem for us. We loved the upside down element of most bedrooms being on the ground floor and therefore cooler in the hot weather. The garden is on the living room level ‘upstairs’ on the first floor, with its patio doors opening outwards giving a fabulous spacious and airy feel. The large and central spiral staircase covering 3 floors is the main feature of the whole house. There’s a very large dining table that will seat at least 8 and a heated hostess trolley to boot! We didn’t use either though, as we had glorious weather and ate outside on the decking every day we were there, from breakfast to supper. There are two dining sets out on the decking, which is the entire width of the house, with plenty of seating and comfy chair pads. Sadly there were no sun loungers for use on the lawn - it would have been nice to have a few available, and also a parasol, as we were there in the mid-July heatwave. The decking does need some urgent repair, however we were notified of this the day before arrival and were made aware to be careful. In some places the decking is sinking with quite a few weak spots but the owners plan to fix asap. We visited Ross on Wye, had a ride on the local steam train and visited the Sculpture Park trail in the forest. Sunday lunch at the Tudor House was excellent and only a short drive away. Highly recommend this house for families and groups.

We were really impressed with About time Cottage.

As a group of 4 couples meeting for a reunion and celebrating a big birthday. We loved its location ,decor and the fact that it was a comfortable sociable space . We even had a cookery party on Saturday . The fact that there was a pub within walking distance and walks from the door was great . We enjoyed going a little further afield to the sculpture trail and for an amazing Sunday lunch at the TudorFarmhouse Farmhouse . There was so much more to do if we ‘d had time ! The communication from Lisa was a huge bonus and much appreciated x

Absolutely amazing property to stay!

We had a great time celebrating a joint 60th birthday with family and friends. Excellent communication from the owner and overall such a pleasant stay. Thank you so much!

About Time provides everything you need for a fabulous group break.

The accommodation is superb. All bedrooms are lovely and three out of the five are en-suite - the remaining two share which is perfectly fine. The facilities in the bathrooms are excellent. The space on the first and main living area is enormous. We were 10 - nine adults and one child - so much space for enjoying all the facilities there. The feng shui is great - lots of natural light, windows, free flow of movement across the floor and up and down (the spiral staircase has a lovely texture and colour and gives never ending delight). We made full use of the excellent kitchen to cater every meal for our 5 day stay - tonnes of fridge space, tonnes of equipment, glassware, cutlery and even a hostess trolley which was pretty useful for the main roast! Nothing to my notice was missing and loads of surface space to work and chat and drink bucks fizz simultaneously. Walk from the door into the forest, or short hops in the car for a castle (Chepstow castle incredible half day out), farm-shop, market town or whatever you feel like enjoying. Warm as toast at all times with the underfloor heating, hot water aplenty for all. The shop and cafe next door provide a great offering all round and a Sainsbury's order to the door works brilliantly. We certainly hope to return and send our thanks to our host for such a gorgeous home, and very swift and helpful communication throughout. Book this, you won't be disappointed!

Fabulous house.

So well equipped, comfortable, warm, lashing vs of hot water. Perfect holiday home for a family of 6 adults and 3 children. Would t fault it. Great communication with owner and housekeeper. Lots to do in area. Kids loved Santa steam train and Chepstow Castle.

An absolutely beautiful house, perfect for family gatherings.

Was spotlessly clean and had everything you needed. There was a lovely welcome pack too with some essentials. Great location for exploring the local area. A shop, pub and the steam train station all within walking distance. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend.

Lovely house, we had a fabulous weekend for my 60th.

We all loved it especially the pool table. Very central for nearby walks. The Fountain inn just round the corner is a lovely pub with great food.

We loved this holiday home- clean spacious and well stocked.

The staircase is like a work of art. Lisa really took care of us during our stay, and was easy to contact.

Aboutime Cottage was perfect for a large family reunion, with excellent facilities for cooking and plenty of room for socialising.

The location in Parkend was great with beautiful forest walks, a steam train ride, a village shop, cafe and 2 good pubs on the doorstep.

About Time Cottage is a lovely property.

Very spacious upstairs where the lounge, dining room and games room are in an open plan environment. The kitchen, which is really quite large, has all amenities needed. The bedrooms are comfortable with plenty of room. Our family loved staying here and would highly recommend it to anyone wanting to visit the Forest of Dean. Personally we would go back again in a heartbeat.

Thank you for a fantastic stay.

The house was beautiful, well equipped and comfortable. We loved the pool table and table football. Lovely location for exploring the Forest of Dean. Great communication from Lisa. Couldn’t have asked for more.

We had a great holiday here.

The only thing I would mention is that if you have an old dog they will not be able to manage the spiral staircase. We knew about this in advance and it wasn't a big issue as we just took our dog out of the front door and up the steps to the side of the house and in through the kitchen. The garden is secure for dogs.

The cottage was lovely and beautifully prepared with milk, tea, coffee, sugar and biscuits for us.

Well appointed with everything we needed. Lits of seating areas inside and out. We would definitely come again.

About Time Cottage was very well presented , very clean and fully equipped .

We had a lovely weekend there . Pub , post office and coffee shop within easy walking distance , plenty of parking and very pretty area .

We stayed 3rd - 5th May for our joint hen do and would definitely love to come back.

The property was out of this world with so many facilities, games, comforts and beautiful scenery. So much provided at the property we didn't go without. The host was amazing and even managed to get the property ready early for us. This was definitely a place for us to have a relaxed time before our big day.

Lovely house in a great location for exploring the Forest of Dean.

Everything was spotlessly clean and communication with the property owner was faultless. There are two pubs within easy walking distance and they both offer good food and are family friendly. The cafe and the ice cream shed just along the road were hits with the whole family too. So much to do and see in the surrounding area. Fabulous!

We had a lovely long weekend at About Time Cottage.

Facilities were excellent in a lovely village location, can’t fault it.

A lovely house for 5 older couples or families.

Very comfortable, spacious and very well equipped, if self catering. Although we ate out every evening. Two or three pub restaurants close by and within driving distance in Lydney & Coleford. We particularly liked the Rising Sun, Moseley Green. We were lucky that the weather was fantastic giving a chance to explore the Forest of Dean and Severn Estuary.

Fantastic property in a great location

Fantastic property with everything you need.

The bath upstairs is a luxury! The open plan living area is great for larger groups. This was our second stay. I can recommend the pub down the road for food too

This was perfect for our family group.

We all really enjoyed out time here..Parking was ample. Cottage was well arranged for our group. Clean and comfortable.

Lovely property, modern and clean.

Great communication with Lisa before and after check in.

Words can't describe how perfect this property was for our weekend away.

Pictures don't do justice, it's a really big property. Clean and tidy, lovely extras (milk, biscuits etc) were a lovely touch. Communication excellent, friendly and approachable. Honestly the whole experience surpassed expectations Would 1000% stay again and wished we had booked for longer Few maintenance things need doing: One half of oven doesn't work, lots of missing bulbs around property, football table very unstable - we didn't use as too afraid it would break

An enjoyable break with family.

Spacious house, lovely and warm, walks into the forest from the door and a superb cafe 2 doors away. Shelves or baskets in the bathrooms would be an asset

This is a superb house and so much bigger than the photos would suggest.

The living area is huge and all the bedrooms are very large too. It has all the equipment you would need and everything worked faultlessly, aside from the odd light bulb, but nobody minds that. It is a fabulous house with loads of parking (we had 4 cars parked), pet friendly, lovely personal touches and high quality - already planning a return visit.

The house itself is very nice and as described, the issue with the house is the burglar alarm.

We experienced approximately 10 power cuts through the night in the storm, after the power came back, the burglar alarm sounded every time. There are two burglar alarms, one in the hallway downstairs and one in the master bedroom where we had a 4 month old baby sleeping. We felt we had to leave a day early after getting no sleep. The burglar alarm needs either a battery back up or to be disabled for guests as a neighbour told us when we were leaving on the Sunday that the alarm sounding is not uncommon and that he often hears it sounding.

What a beautiful house.

Very clean and had everything available that we could possibly need, even milk and a few other bits available for our arrival. Lovely experience to see the steam trains pass through the train station, just up the street. We would definitely recommend a stay here. Thank you

Great cottage.

Pictures don't do it justice. Really spacious and comfortable. Well equipped with all you need to cook. Two fridges and separate freezer. Ample cleaning products. We arrived when it was dark and the cottage being lit and warm was very welcoming. Amie contacted me on the day to check how we wanted the beds made up. Handy convenience store a few mins away for forgotten essentials! We had a lovely 3 night stay with friends. The Woodman pub serves great food. Lots of lovely walks nearby.

Loved the property and we had a great weekend.

The only small niggle / strange thing was that all the wine glasses were made of plastic. It was out of sorts with the otherwise top end nature of the property.

This was an excellent stay.

We loved the house, and especially the pool table. It was great for our dog too, with a safe enclosed garden.

Excellent cottage, situated in a lovely, countryside location and close to a lot of great activities.

Cottage was welcoming, and nicely laid out in terms of the rooms, lounge and upper en suite. Lovely pubs within walking distance. Would highly recommend for family holidays and friendship groups. Couldn’t find a fault!

About Time Cottage is a real gem of a place to stay.

It is in such a lovely village, the cafe next door is great and the small village shop is well supplied. The house has everything you could possibly need, it's comfortable, well arranged and great for families. The spiral stair case was not an issue for the little ones in our party. We'd highly recommend a stay here.

Lovely family holiday at this superb cottage, there was nine of us and we were very comfortable, large rooms, well equipped, Such good communication from owner and her deputy.

One tiny tiny point , a couple of more board games would have been the icing on the cake, I would have taken some had I have known . Eg, connect 4 , frustration, battleships.etc

Fantastic accommodation for our family group celebrating grandparents special anniversary.

Such for kids to do indoors as well as out. Beautifully designed interior. Felt really special. Everything you might need.

This is a beautiful property set in a lovely area with so much to see and do.

As an extended family of 10 it was perfect to have so much space to be together and yet not feel crowded. We enjoyed the pool and football tables. The beds were very comfy. All just perfect and we really hope we can all return again very soon.

A lovely position for a well designed house that comfortably sleeps 10.

Plenty of room and well furnished. Delightful village with loads to do for adults and children either from the village or within a short drive.

Just celebrated my 50th birthday weekend here & the cottage was perfect for what we wanted!

The house was even better than the pictures & provided all that we needed, plenty of space for us all & the games room & living area was great and fun for all! We had 2 dogs with us and the garden was secure & great for them. A lovely weekend to remember & would definitely recommend the cottage.

Our group of 10 friends rented this property for a week away over Easter and we all had the best time.

Lovely property in a quaint village nice and secluded but still close enough to the bustle of Gloucester for a day trip. Walks around the Forest of Dean and Wye Valley were aplenty and the open common area on the 1st floor was ideal for a hangout area. Would definitely recommend, likely to think about coming back!

Great house for our family gathering.

There were quite a few lightbulbs not working ; especially the top bathroom The downstairs bedrooms were cold, we were in the top one which was hot & we couldn’t seem to adjust the temperature. Thank you for the welcome goodies!

Thank you for a lovely stay.

My mother really enjoyed her 70th birthday there and the kids loved having a new place for hide and seek!

Fantastic house, lovely welcome pack.

Very clean. Great location for walks. The bath upstairs was a hit with our group of weary mums. We will be booking again .

What a wonderful stay we had the best time ever.

The cottage was homely , clean had everything we needed for a weekend of home comforts and staying in. It was our sister's 70th birthday and we wanted a place we could all get together and eat lavish breakfasts and dinners and play games. It was perfect. On the last day we went up to the top bedroom onto the balcony and got a glimpse of two deers in the trees. A magical moment for a magical stay.

The property was bigger and better than we expected.

The kitchen was fantastic with everything necessary to cook for a large family. We all had a great stay over Christmas

This a wonderful cottage with versatile accommodation.

Our party started with eight people for a long weekend after which remained two couples for the remaining part of the week. Even when half of the party left, the cottage didn't feel empty, it was really cosy and warm. It's ideally positioned in the village with two pubs both within easy walking distance. Which both served lovely food. And with a pretty shop come post office and cafe next door it was ideal for newspapers and they were even able to order me gluten free bread from the local baker, absolutely delicious if I may add. Everything you could want was provided by the cottage and the table pool and table football were a big hit with everyone. We had a fantastic holiday and loved every minute of our stay

This property was perfect for our family celebration and fulfilled the advertisement listing.

The owner has taken care with the property to ensure it has the appropriate facilities for 10 people throughout. The welcome pack was a pleasant surprise.

The cottage was fabulous, perfect for our four night stay.

Located in a small friendly village with two pubs ,shop, cafe, great access to the forest walks and the steam railway. The layout and room sizes at the cottage are perfect and the facilities are perfect. Can’t say we had any issues during our stay but Amie the Host ensured good communication and if there had been a problem resolution would be quick. Thank You Amie. Can’t wait to return.

Lovely place to stay, the cottage was excellent and ideal for a group.

Dog friendly with a secure outside area. Great facilities, bread milk and biscuits on arrival. Good pubs within walking distance, The Woodmans best for food, The Rising Sun gorgeous location and also fine for food. Would highly recommend.

We had a lovely stay at the house.

However, as mentioned by others, the ground floor en-suite bathroom had a leak, which had been patched up with bubble wrap, but wasn’t working. The floor was constantly wet. I mentioned this, and was advised it was being mended next week. The house was nice in general, and had everything we needed, but did need some TLC as mentioned by others. The kitchen in particular was looking tired, with the laminate coming off of the cupboards. The house was in a great location. We enjoyed a trip on the steam railway, a walk around Nagshead RSPB reserve, and the sculpture trail. We also had a lovely meal at the Fountain Inn.

The ensuite in the double bedroom downstairs at the rear of the staircase was unusable as there was a leak either from the shower or the toilet.

It looked as if there was bubble wrap stuffed behind the toilet and inbetween the toilet and the shower to attempt to stop the leak. It didnt work. The house had the accomodation we needed for 10 people (apart from that one bathroom).. it was comfortable and plenty of cooking pots and crockery. the plates could do with replacing as tired and some cracks. good washing and drying facilities. internet not good .. but we are used to that as we live rurally!!! this could annoy others .We couldnt get the dvd player to work. We had two small children with us aged 2 and 3 and the concrete stairs were a constant worry to us. the provision of a stair gates or advice that these stairs wernt suitable for toddlers and small children would be helpful . Also please for future occupants update the recyclling folder. There was no blue bag for cardboard and it didnt make sense. Also it would be useful to state which day you need to put the recycling/rubbish out. However we had a wonderful holiday in a perfect location for our family.

About Time Cottage is in a fantastic location for exploring the Forest of Dean.

There were so many things to do and we managed to fit in the Dean Forest Steam Railway, hiking to Mallard's Pike, the Sculpture Walk, Chepstow Castle, Tintern Abbey, Hopewell Colliery and Westbury Court Garden plus we saw wild boar and deer at the nature reserve. We had a couple of good meals at the Woodman Inn too. If you visit outside the school holidays make sure to check which days attractions are open as some are not open every day. About Time Cottage is a great house with large rooms (good sized bedrooms and a massive lounge/dining area and a great laundry/drying room) and many good facilities including fast wifi enough for all of us (which you need because there's no 'phone signal at all). The hosue does need a bit of TLC. Much could do with a refresh or a bit more attention paid to making sure that everything is right for each set of new visitors. I'm not sure how often (or if) the owners visit as they would see what could be improved but just a bit of time and money. For example, there is a lovely decking area but we couldn't use it because the plums from the tree in the garden had ripened and fallen all over the ground which attracted loads of wasps (this was mentioned in the visitors' book a month ago but nothing had been done). Ideally the plums should be picked up on a regular basis to stop this happening. Some of the kitchen equipment was low quality - plastic glasses for champagne, cheap cutlery. No cleaning stuff provided, not even in the kitchen or bathrooms - we even had to ask for a mop. Quite a few light bulbs not working (also mentioned by previous visitors). No details on when to put the bins out. There is a folder with what you can recycle but why not put labels or pictures on the 4 bins provided in the kitchen, it would be so much easier? Also the recycling and food bins were practically full when we arrived, not great for a house of 10 people and a dog, especially the food bins when it was so hot. It was very hot but the house didn't have any fans (we did ask but none were provided). The upstairs loft room was particularly hot because the blinds don't keep out any light at all (bring an eye mask if you sleep in that room). Would be great to replace them or add blackout blinds and it would help to keep the room cool. Bathroom showers were a bit mouldy, we have cleaned off as much as we could for you! This mjight seem like a long list but we did have a lovely time and would definitely come back if the house is updated. Thanks

Property is in a lovely area and was all we could wish for, the dog enjoyed the garden!

Very good accomodation and plenty of room.

Generally everything was available and comfortable for our stay. It wouldn't hurt for a maintenance person to pop in and just check things over - eg the showers, the light bulbs and there was no potato peeler which we would have found useful - curtain/blind over the twin room door next to the main bathroom would be good

About Time.

This is a great spacious property in the forest of Dean with lovely easy walks within 5 minutes drive and the 2 pubs on your door step are throughly recommended. The design of the house with its 1st floor "living area is brilliant". The steam railway almost next door is also worth a trip. There is currently no mobile signal in Parkend which may or may not be a blessing. That said wifi was perfect and we used WhatsApp for calls no problem. The whole area is very beautiful. Many thanks to Amie for providing us with a great holiday. We'd stay again.

We had a fantastic family gathering weekend over Easter.

The house was great, had everything we needed- and in a good location. The spiral staircase was an impressive aspect and somewhat unusual! The village was pleasant with 2 pubs in easy walking distance and very welcoming with decent beer. All in all the house comes highly recommended by us

About Time cottage has the potential to be an excellent house for 10 people.

We were very unlucky as the heating had broken down and it was very chilly, especially for my elderly Mother. A plumber did come out but even on our last day it hadn’t warmed up mainly due to the huge nature of the open plan living area. Read the other reviews as they are true. Noise levels within the house are extremely high across all three floors. Beware when using the shower on the top floor as the water struggles to drain away. Without a real focus on maintenance this is not a property I would return to.

Although we only had a weekend break we found the cottage very well equipped and had everything you needed also very clean and well presented throughout.

We all enjoyed the pool and football tables, we also enjoyed the amount of space available to relax. The welcome pack was very much appreciated and helpful. The cottage is in a beautiful area and gives a great opportunity to explore. We would like to return for a longer stay in the summer months.

Great weekend with friends.

Perfect location for walks and pubs. The Fountain , 5 minute walk served us a fab meal. Communication was also great.

Lovely spacious, clean, comfortable cottage; it was ideal for our 50th anniversary celebration with family and friends.

We would love to come back again - perhaps when the weather's likely to be a bit warmer.

We had a great stay at about time!

The middle floor with the open plan living area and games was a great feature and the beds were comfy too. The property would be even better in the warmer months when you could make use of the great balcony! Would have been 10/10 apart from the pipes that were noisy when turning on the hot tap in the kitchen. Not a big deal for our group, but could be more annoying for others. Overall had a great time and would return, also loved the goodies provided on arrival. Lovely touch! Thanks

Fabulous house in great location.

We were 5 sisters on a weekend away and this house was perfect. The only thing we would say is that we would have liked more glass wine glasses instead of plastic!!

We had a great time at Aboutime Cottage.

It is spacious, well laid out and generally a fab place for a large group. It was clean and comfortable. I loved the open plan design as we could all be together. Unfortunately it does not seem to be particularly well cared for. It has so much potential to be amazing but it didn't quite do it for us. One of the bedroom doors is glass so no privacy for one member of the family! There were lots of blown lightbulbs. Some of the plugs in the sinks and bath didn't go down properly or were not connected to the mechanism so couldn't come out again. The water system in the house is very noisy, all through the night - when we weren't using any! And, as another customer has mentioned it is noisy. Some soft furnishings would make all the difference. At the moment when kids are playing the games it is very hard to hear conversations as the noise just echoes around. These are all little things and we still had a great time. But if these were fixed the house would truly be a haven to keep coming back to.

We had a great stay!

! The only thing was the security lights at the rear - they constantly lit up and due to that the top bedroom had this light shining through at night which did disturb sleep. That’s the only problem we encountered.

Its a shame that the property details do not let you know that there are real problems with mobile phone coverage in the area.

Whilst people with smart phones can use wifi anyone with an older / more basic phone will not be able to make / receive calls or texts. We could not contact one member of our party who arrived separately and spent ages trying to find the cottage.

We had a very enjoyable family weekend get-together for my 70th at the cottage.

Our only observation is that due to the open spiral staircase, and exposed wooden floors, noise travelled up to the second floor, and down to the ground floor from the sitting room on the first floor. Perhaps some rugs/floor coverings would reduce the noise?

Really great stay here - plenty of social space for everyone to get together.

Would be happy to recommend About Time Cottage to anyone looking to stay in the area

Beautiful house, well kept and spotlessly clean.

Comfortable, warm and a generous welcome package was a lovely surprise. Friendly and helpful owners, thank you.

Everything was great.

Very spacious and well equipped. One minor thing the dishwasher door is not easy to open and very slow. Would definitely recommend to friends.

Great location, comfy, cosy house.

Very caring owners and the welcome treats were greatly appreciated. Well equipped bedrooms and lovely towels! The pool table was a big hit in the lounge but could be a bigger size. Just a couple of things let the property down. The TV in the lounge could definitely do with updating to a Smart TV and the kitchen needs some attention. The smaller half of the oven doesn’t work and the dishwasher is tricky to open, getting wedged on the plinth. Well equipped though with great amount of fridge space. All aspects of the property were clean except for the wooden floor which could do with a deep clean. Instructions for the bins outside would be useful as all counties/areas are different. Overall we had a lovely holiday and would recommend this cottage.

This is a beautiful immaculate cottage ideal for group to have a holiday together.

They have thought of everything from extremely comfortable beds, beautiful bedding - we all had the best nights sleeps ! fluffy towels ,lovely high spec bathrooms, to a kitchen with every utensil and dish you could need to cater for a large group. The huge living space with games, table footy, pool table ,TV all perfect for lovely evenings together - even a hostess trolley ! .Also the underfloor heating meant the cottage was always warm and cosy despite its size. The spiral stair case is beautiful but also substantial so no worries there. The village is right in the forest with cycle hire and forest walks just a few minutes from the door. Also a shop next door and 2 pubs withing a 10 minute walk - what more could you want for a perfect weekend !

We had the most amazing time at this lovely cottage.

It has everything, great location, very spacious, great location. Lisa the host is extremely nice fantastic communication and always ready to help with anything you might need. We cant wait to hopefuly go back in spring time.

One of our best ever holiday houses.

Ideal for our large family group, plenty of room for all, each couple with its own space. Comfortable throughout, excellent facilities, good location.

My family of 8 adults, 1 child and 1 dog had a lovely early-Christmas at Aboutime Cottage.

The house was very clean and well equipped and there is tons of space. Each couple having their own bathroom was a real luxury. The house was beautifully decorated for Christmas, which we really appreciated, and was very warm considering the large living space. Parking for 4 cars was also great. The location is excellent with so many walks and interesting places on the doorstep and two good pubs within 5 minutes walk. The owner is super helpful and responsive. The only thing I would improve would be the one sofa that has seen better days and was moulting leather flakes everywhere, but that is a very small point. Thank you for hosting a wonderful ‘Christmas’.

Perfect property for a family birthday but if you have small children you will need a gate across the spiral staircase as non is provided.

Excellent location for walking in the forests.

Wonderful house, fantastic living space, great for socialising with your travel companions.

(We had a group of 10 adults.) Clean & comfortable. Location perfect for exploring the stunningly beautiful Forest of Dean. Prior to our visit the owner was great with communicating & general friendly advise. We ate at the local pub a couple of times which is in easy walking distance of the cottage! I wouldn’t recommend this property if you were unsteady on your feet, only due to the amazing spiral staircase! Other than that.. what are you waiting for

Fabulous comfortable house.

With copious space, games area, well equipped kitchen and a great living area. All bedrooms spacious , especially the upper suite. The veranda was pretty and although it was a cold weekend we managed to sit outside for breakfast/coffee. Great location for exploring the Wye valley. Had a lovely welcome of cake, biscuits bread and tea and coffee already in the pots. Tesco delivery was also prompt. Thanks so much for a warm and lovely stay, We would come again, all 9 of us.

Excellent place to stay.

Only issues were .. .. .. 1. Cooker hob cracked 2. No plug in hand sink in wet room 3. No dustpan & brush or spare rubbish bags in kitchen 4. One couch in lounge shedding its plastic coating

We had a fantastic trip, loved the house.

The only thing we would recommend is a pull across stair gate as the little ones were fascinated with the stairs when we spent time in the living room area. Brilliant stay, will be booking again :)

Excellent accommodation everything you needed at hand.

Would certainly recommend it for a family gathering.

The house was perfect for our family party of eight (and dog), very spacious and comfortable.

The weather was fabulous and the sunny decking area with outdoor dining was wonderful. Made good use of the well equipped kitchen - dishwasher was much appreciated! Great location with walks from the village straight into the forest. Overall an excellent holiday - would definitely book again.

A beautiful house made very homely with the addition of pictures, ornaments, accessories.

All bedrooms nicely furnished. We asked for one of the double rooms to be split into two singles - no problem. Large spacious accommodation with pool table and table football to keep our 10 & 13 year old grandchildren amused. Clean, tidy, so much provided - bedding, two towels each, bathroom hand towels, tea towels, oven gloves, washing up liquid, kitchen roll. Also toilet rolls in each bathroom and dishwasher tablets to start your holiday. Lots of utensils too which you don't always get - ice cream scoop, pizza cutter, bottle openers, cheese graters. Plenty of glasses, crockery, cutlery, knives, pots and pans, salad bowl all included and extremely clean. Lovely 'welcome' pack including, cake, cookies, milk, bread, butter, cookies, cake, marmalade, teabags, instant coffee. This is just a super house to rent enjoyed by three generations to celebrate a 70th birthday. Garden was bigger than expected - nice garden furniture with cushions provided. Football field up the road. Great places to visit and activities nearby. Fountain pub in the village and Miners Arms at Whitecroft were great places to eat. Ate in both twice. Booked and ordered in advance as there were quite a few of us and meals were great. We would certainly recommend this house to any groups of 10 although because of the beautiful spiral staircase it wouldn't be suitable for anyone with mobility problems or toddlers. just one small thing - could the recycling folder explain what to do with food waste. Coming from an area where food waste is not collected we were not sure weather it was put in the outside food bin bagged or loose so ended up putting it our ordinary rubbish. Thank you so much.

The holiday cottage was clean and very well presented, there was even a cake and a assortment of biscuits waiting for us when we arrived.

I would fully recommend the cottage and the service provided thank you.

Aboutime is well set up and equipped for a get together.

Lovely bathrooms and lots of space. Lovely local shop just a few doors away and lots of walking in the area.
