The Glebe is just a hundred metres off the Cotswold Way National Trail, and there are plenty of footpaths and walks around and across the valley, including circular walks to include charming villages such as Pitchcombe, Slad, Cranham and Sheepscombe – and many village pubs on the way.
Further afield, enjoy a trip to Rodborough and Minchinhampton Commons which is home to some of the country’s best wildlife and is a site of Special Scientific Interest.
Plus it has great views across Stroud and the valleys and is the location of Rodborough Fort, and inhabited folly.
Further afield are many interesting places to visit, such as Woodchester Park and the National Arboretum at Westonbirt.
A short car journey will take you to Stroud, voted the “Best Place to Live in the UK 2021” in the Sunday Times.
Best visited on a Saturday when the award winning farmers market is held on many of the streets.
