  • “The house was dirty, fly and spider infested, had a dining chair we could not use as leg was broken and a wardrobe with a shelf full of broken equipment.”

May I suggest throwing it out and replacing it? I could go on..... and on. I actually removed all the cobwebs and dead flies and spiders from the living area myself. I actually met the housekeeping team on arrival as they had not completed their job. They were surly! ...

May I suggest throwing it out and replacing it? I could go on..... and on. I actually removed all the cobwebs and dead flies and spiders from the living area myself. I actually met the housekeeping team on arrival as they had not completed their job. They were surly! I felt very let down having paid a high price for a special event family holiday. Such a shame as Lower Mill Estate is beautiful with great facilities. Will anyone pay any attention to this comment and offer some compensation? I very much doubt it.

The property

Woodlark is a distinct lakeside house located in the heart of the Howells Mere, overlooking the lake and, in our opinion, an excellent choice for families and groups.

Built to sleep 10 people in 5 bedrooms (plus 4 bathrooms), the property is immaculately presented with the bedrooms on the ground and first floor the top floor is given over to the kitchen-dining-living area which has fabulous views across the lake, plus a terrace - of course!!

Outside you're surrounded by a peaceful set up, ideal for cycling around (or walking), Nature Trails and many other lakes to enjoy there is also the nearby restaurant/bar about 5 mins walk away which serves food and drinks, and then there is indoor pool and spa - a true treat for all and available all year round for guests.

If you would like to visit a classic village pub, then about 15 mins walk away is one of Somerford village.

In short you've got everything here!!

A great choice.
