“We had a great couple of days at The Nailsworth.”

It’s a lovely place to stay; spacious, well kitted out and fantastic location. The town itself is gorgeous, loads of independent shops and places to eat (although a bit more limited in the rain)! The accommodation was just as described and in such good condition and any issues we had (a missing cot) were resolved quickly and in a really friendly manner - we couldn’t fault it and loved our first little holiday with our baby. Two things to note (they wouldn’t put us off but worth ...

Two things to note (they wouldn’t put us off but worth mentioning): if you’re sleeping downstairs and there are people walking around upstairs in the living room it is pretty noisy and the bathroom/wet room was pretty compact (if you’re tall, it’s a bit tight to sit on the loo) but the showers are amazing and hugely recommended!!!

The property

One of Nailsworth's most historic buildings awaits with this stylish, smart apartment The Nailsworth.

Set close to the heart of this often over-looked Cotswolds town and once the original railway station building, this super stunning holiday home is the result of a total and sympathetic renovation large Victorian rooms give an airy feel with a contemporary twist creating an exceptional holiday home that's perfect for a family or for couples looking for a high end Cotswolds experience.

The kitchen is a cook's heaven with top of the range kit, but fear not if you're here for a break, as you're within a short walk of a wide selection of good quality places to eat (and shop too!).

The bedrooms are large and luxurious all with superking size beds while the Living Room is a relaxing place with a very large sofa perfect for flopping and relax after a hard day's sight-seeing.

Whether you're bringing the children (oodles to do locally) or here to do nothing but kick back - The Nailsworth is perfect for your well earned Cotswolds holiday.

We love it.

About the location

STROUD

Gloucester 9.5 miles; Cirencester 13 miles.

The town of Stroud is known as the less commercial corner of the Cotswolds, a somewhat bohemian collection of buildings, squares and lanes, tucked into the green hills which once housed countless sheep during the town’s time as the centre of the Cotswold’s woollen industry. Today, Stroud welcomes visitors to its friendly cafes, quaint bookshops, independent shops and tempting eateries. Described by Jasper Conran as the ‘Covent Garden of the Cotswolds’, Stroud has a regular farmers' market, year-round programmes of music and theatre, a thriving arts scene and a state-of-the-art cinema. For simply relaxing, Stratford Park on the edge of town offers lakeside walks, indoor and outdoor swimming pools, and a museum. Head out of town to explore the five sweeping valleys which surround it, with country lanes just made for walking or cycling.
