“Lovely apartment well situated for easy walking access to restaurants, cafes and bars.”

Very well and comfortably furnished with all that we could have needed in the lovely kitchen. The bathrooms were lovely too. We would be more than happy to return.

“Instructions from Sykes for accessing the property are so out of date.”

Told to go to Egypt Mill for keys and access details, but they have had nothing to do with the property for 18 months. Luckily they were able to pass on the owner’s contact details. Matt the owner was very apologetic, but very helpful.

“Apartment and it’s location was perfect.”

Steps up to outside of apartment were a little steep for shorter legs & would have benefited from a hand rail of some sort to hold onto going downstairs inside the apartment.

“This apartment looked exactly as the pictures show, hotel staff were very friendly overall a very nice apartment to stay in with nearby shops (Morrisons) less than a 5 minute walk away The only slight negatives was the boiler room on lower floor was quite noisey as it serviced the whole building and obviously you're staying in an apartment so could hear the upstairs neighbours.”

On the flip side the bedrooms are on the lower floor so you couldn't hear the neighbours at night.

This smart retreat has seen a total renovation, with all rooms spacious and airy and furnished with a cracking eye-for-detail.

For us, however, the kitchen is a real stylish tour de force, a contemporary thing of beauty packed with the top of the range kit that will excite any cook!

Downstairs are two large double bedrooms (with zip & link superking beds) with smart ensuite bathrooms.

With a top grade hotel around the corner serving excellent food, this is an exceptional choice for a short break or longer break in one of the most attractive parts of the Cotswolds- and at any time of the year.

The town of Stroud is known as the less commercial corner of the Cotswolds, a somewhat bohemian collection of buildings, squares and lanes, tucked into the green hills which once housed countless sheep during the town’s time as the centre of the Cotswold’s woollen industry. Today, Stroud welcomes visitors to its friendly cafes, quaint bookshops, independent shops and tempting eateries.
