“The house is absolutely lovely warm well equipped and comfortable.”

We were a party of 6 adults and four children. Three in cots and one in a bed. The beds were very comfortable. You need to take your own shampoo but there is a surfeit of oil, sugar, salt, pepper, tea, sauces, liquid soap, toilet rolls, cleaning materials, two ovens, microwave, masses of outside space and large gas barbecue. The WiFi worked well and the showers were plentifully supplied with hot water. ...

There were 12 chairs at the dining table. The five bedrooms slept 10 adults. There were two twin rooms and three of the bedrooms had en-suites. Down stairs there was a good quality sofa bed and a downstairs loo. The house had two TVs, In the large sitting room there was a wood burner and it had some wood supplied but if you wanted more then you would have to pay £10. We brought our own wood as we have a wood, I didn’t think much of having to pay for extra wood. The house is painted cream through out and in places it could do with a touch up here and there. But as I have had houses let out, I notice every little scratch. I mended a Venetian blind when I was there. Any way we had a fabulous weekend and will go again to the same house. Morton in March is the nearest beautiful town with a Budgens stuck like a carbuncle by the railway bridge. The owner, who I spoke to on the phone, was charming and accommodating.

The property

Kite's House is a magnificent Cotswold Country House set in glorious countryside, yet convenient for the market towns of Stow on the Wold and Moreton in Marsh.

This detached Cotswold stone house is located on the edge of a little village called Kitebrook itself just 5 minutes from Moreton.

Recently renovated and restored, the accommodation is spacious, beautifully furnished and very well equipped.

Outside there is a large garden surrounding the house, which can be accessed from the Living Room and kitchen.

We see this as an ideal and brilliant choice for families or larger groups who enjoy high quality and attention to detail.

An absolute find!

A superb property of exceptional quality in a peaceful picturesque location and unreservedly recommended.

The Saxon market town of Moreton-in-Marsh lies on the Fosse Way Roman Road in the northern Cotswolds and boasts many elegant 18th century buildings, which are home to traditional inns, serving real ales and home-cooked food, tea rooms, restaurants and individual shops to suit all tastes. It also boasts it's own train station and lies on the intersection of the Paddington rail line from London. The town hosts the Moreton-In-Marsh Show, one of the UK's largest one-day agricultural shows, as well as the Moreton Beer Festival, an annual French Market, and a large outdoor market every Tuesday. Many walks and cycle rides through the beautiful rolling countryside of the Cotswolds can be enjoyed from the centre of the town, with the Macmillan Way, Heart of England Way, Gloucestershire and Monarch's Way all running close by. Less than five miles away is Stow-on-the-Wold, the highest town in the Cotswolds. This ancient market town has played host to many fairs since the 12th century and today holds a biannual Gypsy Horse Fair, craft fairs and monthly farmers' market. Close by is Bourton-on-the-Water, which is known as the Venice of the Cotswolds as the River Windrush runs through the centre. It lies in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and is one of the most popular Cotswold villages. Also within reach is the spa town of Cheltenham. This town boasts an incredible range of shops, cinemas, theatres, restaurants and pubs, and is famous for its horseracing festival in March, culminating in the Gold Cup steeplechase.
