The property

Prospect Estate is a lovely, sprawling Georgian country house that makes the perfect getaway for a gathering of family and friends, the New Year, hen parties, or a tranquil idyll with year-round access to an indoor hot tub.

The home is set on a hill overlooking Painswick, a market town that is always in demand and is referred to as the Queen of the Cotswolds for its famed parish church and Rococo Gardens.

Here, high standards for elegance and excellence are combined with profound comfort to create a lovely and tranquil hideaway.

The south-west corner of the home has floor to ceiling windows that provide breath-taking views of Painswick.

With everything from an induction burner, teppanyaki grill, massive four oven AGA, you name it—there is even a unique induction "wok area," the kitchen is as wonderful as it gets and would excite ardent cooks.

There are four good-sized bedrooms and four beautiful bathrooms upstairs.

There are large gardens outside, as well as a hot tub that is available for year-round usage only.

Prospect House is a truly exceptional home in every way and comes highly recommended.

About the location

PAINSWICK

Stroud 4 miles; Gloucester 7 miles; Cheltenham 10 miles.

Painswick, located only 10 miles from Cheltenham, is a town and civil parish in Gloucestershire. The town originated from the wool trade, but is now best known for its parish church’s yew trees and the local Rococo Garden. The village is mainly constructed of locally quarried Cotswold Stone. It stands on a hill in the Stroud district which overlooks one of the Five Valleys and is halfway along the Cotswolds Way National Trail. It is home to a cricket and rugby team and has a popular golf course on the outskirts of the town. There is a local pub The Royal Oak which offer real ales, real fires and a courtyard. Opposite the pub is a well-stocked village shop. A twenty minute walk from the village is the Painswick Beacon which affords vast views across Gloucester to the River Severn and the Malvern Hills. The Painswick Centre hosts many events and exhibitions and is home to the ACP Gallery. Painswick is 4 miles north of Stroud and 2 miles northwest of Slad – home of Laurie Lee, author of “Cider with Rosie”.

Note: Thereis a small pond in the garden, there is a safety mesh in place but we suggest that children are not left unattended in the garden at any time.
