“We had a great last minute walking holiday.”

Emma the owner made us feel very welcome.It was lovely to have bread, milk,jam, butter and biscuits there on arrival. Accommodation was very clean, comfortable, well equipped and spacious. The setting was peaceful.

“Peaceful location with great views.”

Spacious accommodation, comfortable beds, helpful hosts. Superb tennis court. More utensils (cutlery, pans etc) would have been good but overall excellent.

“An interesting house in a lovely setting.”

We enjoyed watching all the animals in the peaceful surroundings. Our hosts were friendly and the place clean and comfortable. This is a good base for exploring the Cotswolds or Wiltshire with many interesting locations within an hour's drive.

“Lovely apartment with two lovely bedrooms both with ensuite, good showers.”

Kitchen is well equipped with everything you need, we actually used the kitchen for a lounge as well because it was such a lovely room. Emma the owner is lovely, from first contact she was very helpful and made us feel very much at home. The horses, dogs, and chickens are all very friendly. The house is away from the road so is lovely and peaceful ( no road noise...... bliss) if you want a lovely place to stay in a quiet location with lovely views this is it.

“Just the most delightful, quiet and calm place.”

Hattons Lodge was well appointed and all the kitchen equipment was excellent, well looked after and easy to find and use. Bread, milk, butter, and jam along with chocolate biscuits a lovely touch, left for us when we arrived.The beds were comfy and the linen of high quality. We had a very enjoyable stay and would definitely recommend it. The surrounding area had a lot to recommend it too, with good pubs and places to eat out , towns to visit, and the Arboretum at Westonbirt well within striking distance. We will return!

“Absolutely lovely cottage in a quiet, pleasant location.”

We didn't meet Emma but communicated over phone and she was on call should we have needed anything. Lots of light and space inside. Great kitchen facilities which made cooking a pleasure. Only comment is that there are a lot of stairs so those with less mobility should consider this. Was not a problem for us and overall contributes to the feeling of having a lot of space. We would definitely return. Close to Cotwolds Water Park (a favourite of our three year-old daughter's), Cirencester, and picturesque villages like Bibury and Barnsley.

Emma greeted us with a warm welcome on arrival, and had thoughtfully left fresh flowers as well as bread, butter, jam and milk. The house was beautiful, spotlessly clean and charmingly furnished. We had ample room for our family four. The grounds and surrounding countryside are gorgeous, providing opportunity for wonderful walks as well as brilliant star gazing on our final night. We could not have had a lovelier stay. Thank you!

“Had a couple of minor problems during our stay, but we were able to telephone Emma (owner) and she came over immediately to try and sort out the problem.”

Lovely welcome pack on our arrival, so able to make a cup of tea after a 5 hour drive - flowers on the table were a nice touch. Nice garden to relax in on a summers evening and plenty to do in the surrounding area. Overall, a very pleasant stay and would consider returning in the future.

Hatton's Lodge is a spacious holiday home located in a rural spot in the southern Cotswolds.

Spread across three levels the accommodation is large and inviting and with outstanding views in every direction.

The property has one ensuite master bedroom, the nearest town is Cirencester, which is a popular spot and with a great selection of shops and restaurants, while nearby are some lovely villages with excellent country pubs.

The property is finished to a high standard with all modern fixtures and fittings, and very comfortable for up to two guests and a baby.

Chippenham 11 miles; Cirencester 13 miles; Bath 23 miles; Tetbury 5 miles.

Dating back to the Iron Age and reputedly the oldest borough in England, the pretty market town of Malmesbury is located on a hilltop in the southern Cotswolds. Malmesbury is steeped in history and offers visitors over 400 listed buildings, a 15th century Market Cross, a ruined 7th century Benedictine abbey, an annual carnival and many independent shops, cafes and traditional pubs. Abbey House Gardens, home to 'The Naked Gardeners' can also be found in Malmesbury (Note: The gardeners are clothed during normal opening hours) and the annual Womad Music Festival is close by at Charlton Park. The area offers many country houses, including Rodmarton Manor and Gardens, and Chavenage House, a fine example of a Cotswold manor unchanged for 400 years.
