Lovely cottage with high quality bedding and matress.
Modern smart bathroom, well equipped kitchen and expensive curtains. The cottage is tastefully dressed and had everything we needed and more. The patio, which is down a rough slope, is beautifully shaded by tall trees. We ate all our meals there. The garden table has seen better days and some annuals are needed for the pots. The area is great for walking. It's steep in parts with stunning views. We enjoyed our visit and will probably return.
Lovely short break at the cottage.
Gardens are lovely and we saw small deer in them. Beautiful quiet, rural location. Good access into Bath which was our reason for the trip. Cooker is very efficient so self catering was ideal for us. Mattresses very comfortable so we all enjoyed a good nights sleep, each night. Lovely homemade cake on arrival and a bottle of wine which was very much appreciated and my Husband devoured the cake all to himself! Local shops in Stroud for your everyday needs. We stayed in February but can only imagine how enchanting the cottage and gardens are in the summer! Very welcoming hosts and very helpful if you have queries. Efficient heating throughout so always cosy and warm!
No DVD player as claimed, which for film buffs could be a disappointment.
Other than that, no complaints. The cottage was utterly charming, and the wooded garden was extensive and very pleasant with great seating areas. Couldn't fault the location. Very beautiful. And lots to do in the nearby town of Stroud, which also has some great shops and two independent book shops!
