“A heartfelt thank you to the Nichols Family for sharing Hulls House with us.”

They went out of their way from the outset to make our Christmas holiday ever so special. They had provided a welcome basket of necessities and installed a magical Christmas tree ready for our presents to be placed underneath. The atmosphere was very festive, comfortable and homely. We’d loved to come back in the summer to have a lovely meal in the garden. The fabulous kitchen was a highlight which hosted many memorable family moments. The location was excellent!

The property

Chipping Campden 1.1 mile.

Tucked away in the heart of the picture-perfect Cotswolds village of Broad Campden, rests this stunning period property, Hulls House.

Built with remarkable Cotswold-stone and boasting a charming and characterful interior, Hulls House offers a luxurious base for a group of friends or a family looking to discover the delights of this sought-after area.

Marvel at the period architecture of this striking holiday home before parking up in the off-road parking space that greets you upon arrival, making loading and unloading an easy task.

Stepping over the threshold and be welcomed into the beautifully-presented open-plan living space, thoughtfully laid-out with polished oak flooring and home to a rustic woodburning stove nestled within a privacy wall, separating the dining table from the snug seating area.

Although the property has been renovated to a high-quality, with a beautiful blend of contemporary and traditional décor and furnishings throughout, the original history is still apparent, with an original date stone stating 'purchased by Jonathan Hulls 1729, rebuilt by Richard Hulls 1829' seen through the window of the extension.

Take a perch at the elegant island taking centre stage in the contemporary kitchen and uncork a bottle of wine to share with the designated chef as they make use of the range of modern amenities provided to prepare some tasty treats for the group.

Gather together at the nearby dining table, with a handy extendable feature to offer seating for up to eight guests, and recount the days adventures as you indulge, before venturing through to the snug sitting room to settle down for the evening in front of the television, gently warming the room with the glow of the woodburning stove in the cooler evenings.

Outside, patio doors open out onto a well-kept enclosed garden, where guests can bask in the last of the evening sun with a seat on the patio, whilst the children let off some steam on the grass or keep themselves entertained with a movie marathon in the second sitting room.

Climb the stairs to the first floor where the feeling of luxury continues throughout the gleaming shower room and the two thoughtfully laid-out bedrooms; retire for the evening with your choice between a king-size or a double room, or venture upstairs to the second-floor where you'll discover the marvellous master suite.

Pour in the bubbles and indulge in a hot soak in the elegant jacuzzi bath in the en-suite bathroom or jump in the spacious walk-in shower cubicle for a quick rinse before snuggling up under the covers of the sumptuous king-size bed.

The fourth and final bedroom is accessed via a door in the master suite, where you'll find a snug twin bedroom, ideal for sleepovers for the little ones.

A short stroll from your doorstep will bring you to the award-winning local pub, The Baker's Arms, where you can treat your guests to a delicious homecooked meal in a quintessentially English setting.

A wider selection of amenities can be found in the nearby town of Chipping Campden, one of the most traditional of Cotswolds towns; indulge in a bite to eat or your favourite tipple at one of the pubs, cafes or restaurants that decorate the quaint streets, or pick up some last-minute ingredients from the well-stocked convenience store.

Be sure to visit the Court Barn Museum to immerse yourself in the fascinating stories of local artists, designers and craftspeople, or discover their marvellous workings on display at a handful of galleries throughout the town.

Television buffs will be delighted with a visit to the village of Chadlington, home to Diddly Squat Farm Shop, renowned as the backdrop for popular agricultural documentary, Clarkson's Farm.

The tourist spots of Chipping Norton and Stow-on-the-Wold are within easy reach, as well as the picture-perfect village of Bourton-on-the-Water, otherwise known as 'the Venice of the Cotswolds', due to its five stone-built bridges that cross over the tranquil waters of the River Windrush.

Explore the delights of the Cotswolds with a stay at Hulls House.

Note: This property has a Good Housekeeping bond of £500.
