Exactly as described.

Very clean and comfortable. Excellent location for walking to Bourton, and even Stow on the Wold. Was surprised an earlier guest complained about a free bottle of wine. Just leave it there or give it to a friend. We were very grateful for our goodies. Also no problems with heating or windows as earlier guests mentioned, everything working perfectly. Nice to have spacious parking too. Would recommend 100%. Our only issue was confusion over recycling with all the different boxes and bags, but that is just a familiarity thing with a local council. Overall excellent, thank you.

Lovely accommodation in a quiet location.

Found the 2nd bedroom very small for 2 adults and a lack of storage space ie no wardrobe in 2nd bedroom. Also large bedroom didn’t have significant storage space. Within walking distance to Bourton on the Water main street plenty of nice places to eat. Found the heating too hot at times came on in the middle of the night.

We had a lovely family getaway at The Seventeen.

It really felt like a home away from home with fully equipped kitchen (we didn’t cook much though) and all the little details with the bathroom supplies likes cotton pads etc. very comfortable beds and enough seats in the living room for 4 of us. Plenty of books to read. Wish we could stay longer. The town is only 10-15 mins walk away….nice stroll with beautiful surroundings. Having said that, there are 3 points that I think worth to improve on: 1) Perhaps a questionnaire beforehand regarding the customer’s preferences for the welcoming drinks. As for us, it would have been great if the wine was replaced with a bottle of juice instead since we don’t drink alcohol. 2) It would be nice if the heater is turned on prior to the customer arrival especially when the weather is very cold. It was quite a turn off walking into a vey cold house at the beginning but other things around the house cheered us up. 3) We noted that the windows upstairs could not be opened. I’m not sure if we didn’t know how to or it was supposed to be that way. If it is, it could jeopardise safety especially if you’re upstairs and there’s fire danger downstairs. This point is just something for you to ponder. Otherwise, it’s a very lovely house for a base to explore Cotswold region.

A truly wonderful home!

The friendly owner Ella has thought of everything a family would need to make their stay comfortable. The beds and sofas were superb and the house was always warm and cosy, the addition of the beautiful Christmas tree made our stay even more special! A very easy walk (10 mins) into Bourton was an added bonus and some lovely restaurants/pubs to be found. Will most definitely recommend this beautiful property to family and friends and will 100% be returning ourselves. Thank you.

Key safe was difficult in opening.

Kitchen tap had a constant drip, even with both fully turned off. Constant humming noise in the background, not sure it was the central heating or from the fridge/freezer. Apart from that we had a lovely stay.

Spotless clean cottage.

Owners generously provided a bottle of wine, chocolates, some fruits and milk. A lovely welcome. Location walkable to town center. Easy no contact check-in. Everything was smooth. Thank you.

We had a lovely week at the seventeen and very lucky with the weather, the cottage was very clean and the prosecco milk and biscuits was a lovely touch, I would highly recommend a stay at the seventeen.

In a quiet location and convenient for town centre and near large co-op supermarket.

Plenty of places to visit in the area. Previous reviews mentioned spotty w-fi but has been improved and we had no issues at all

The property was easy to find, it was very clean, tidy and had everything we needed.

Lovely little garden which we were able to enjoy being really lucky with the weather. Very easy to get into Bourton with less than a ten minute walk. Perfect stay.

Its the perfect location, just a short walk from all the shops and restaurants. The cottage has everything you need, we'll definitely be back.

The cottage was spotless,it felt so homely and smelt so clean and fresh,the owners were extremely helpful when there was a problem with the tv and it was fixed promptly,it is in a nice quiet cud-de-sac,mum and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay

The property is in a really good location, in a quiet street but within a 5 minute walk of the co-op supermarket and a 10 minute walk to the river, shops cafes, restaurants and attractions.

The property was clean and comfortable and reasonably priced compared to other similar properties in the area. Bottle of wine and biscuits were left for us on arrival which was appreciated. Kitchen had everything we needed. Shower was nice and hot and we were provided with plenty of towels. Parking right in front of the property was useful. The only minor gripe was the WiFi, which seemed to drop out every so often, although 95% of the time was fine, so was not a major problem at all and shouldn't deter anyone from booking. We would happily book again.

Excellent property within 10 minutes walk to Bourton-on-the-Water centre.

Very clean, cosy and comfortable. We stayed at Christmas and the owners put a tree up for us and left us some chocolates and wine. We had a lovely Christmas in the cottage and will certainly be back again.

Many thanks to the owners for treats left for us. Much appreciated! Great to have off road parking that means a lot these days. The property is an easy stroll to centre so that is also a plus. We would certainly recommend this property.

The cottage was spotlessly clean and comfortable.

Very nice cottage, had a problem with front door having too turn key and hold it then push handle down which then catches your fingers.

Only a smal bath towel and hand towel each for whole time there, marks on one of towels. Very bad internet kept dropping out all the time we were there. Ella is lovely and sorted problems out very quickly apart from internet which was beyond her control. Would recommed using this cottage.

What a nice house, everything was right.

Neat and clean. Nice presents on arrival. The center of Bourton was super busy, but you don't notice that when you're in your house. Beds were good, just a bit too soft for us. Supermarket was nearby, you could walk to it. We also enjoyed the garden wonderfully.

Great end terraced house, with everything you need.

Pleasant surprise to be left a bottle of wine, biscuits and milk. Thank you. Very well furnished and maintained. Situated at the end of a quiet estate. Garden very nice, table chairs, swing and even a bbq. Garden quiet, not overlooked and south facing. About 1/2 mile to village centre, easy walk, along roadside footpaths. Village has numerous pubs, cafes and restaurants. Large Co-op supermarket very close, which is good for your shopping. Restaurants we visited were Rose Tree, Venezia, Mullberry and l’anatra. All were very good, Venezia being the best with l’anatra in last position. Booking is definitely required to get a good evening time, as all are very busy. The property is 5 stars, except for the wi fi which is absolutely useless, switched off, as suggested, over a 100 times during the week and it still doesn’t connect. When it does it is only about 1 Mb/s on an iPad. Can’t use Netflix, YouTube or catch up tv as it is too slow, so never really connects. In summary, excellent house but terrible wi fi.

We had a lovely weeks stay in your lovely cosy cottage.

It was so peaceful and loved the pretty enclosed garden.The cottage is in a great location for visting other villages and the surrounding areas.It was so handy to have a car parking space too.Would love to come back and stay in your cottage.

Immaculate accommodation.

Good parking and nice quiet location close to shops and pubs etc. Owners left shortbread, bananas, wine and milk nice touch thoughtful. Garden was great. We could not find any fault with anything. We had a really relaxing break. Highly recommend.

Property was very comfortable and a real home from home.

It was spotless. A bottle of wine, biscuits, fruit and milk were waiting for us when we arrived which was a lovely touch. The property was a short walk into the village and there was a large co-op just down the road. We really enjoyed our stay and look forward to a return visit.

A lovely warm cosy house not short of anything.

Immaculate presentation, Appreciated the welcome gifts of wine, biscuits, bananas & milk. Close to the centre of Bourton-on-the-water. Enjoyed lovely long walks to the Slaughters, the Swells & Stow. Lovely south facing garden with rocking seat, table & chairs.

We had a lovely staying at the seventeen!

Very pleased with the hospitality. When we arrived we found a bottle of wine , a bottle of milk and some cookies (what all parents need!!). The owners provided a cot and a highchair for our little one, so no need to bring ours!! The house was clean, in a very nice location, only 10 minutes walking to the village’s centre. Lovely garden,even though we couldn’t enjoyed much due to the weather. I think the seventeen is a lovely house for a family. It felt like home. I definitely recommend it. Thanks for having us X

We had a wonderful time, the "Seventeen" was first class. Spotless, it has all the the amenities you would expect and a lovely garden and surroundings and in easy reach of Bourton on the water. Wonderful.

The house was sparkling clean on arrival, absolutely spotless and the owner left so many thoughtful additions! We had a really nice stay, the beds were super comfy and the house is in such an ideal location, just a few minutes walk into the beautiful village. I called the owner the day before to mention our baby would be coming and when we arrived, she had put up a cot, stair gate and high chair which was so helpful. Thank you for such a lovely stay! We will definitely be back again!

We stopped for a week, the cottage was great comfortable, good facilities, with plenty of walks and attractions just from the doorstep.

You don't need a car, but if you have one it opens up the Cotwolds from its location. We will come again and feel comfortable the standard will be maintained

Brilliant location - easy 10 min walk into centre of Bourton.

Quiet. Locals very welcoming! Comfortable beds, mostly well-equipped, although useful to have some towel storage somewhere (no rails for drying) and clothes horse - washing machine provided but nowhere to dry. Heating quite loud in night so recommend turning it off. All that said, a lovely stay and would recommend / return as very comfortable stay indeed. Lovely garden space too and easy parking. Loved the biscuits and Prosecco on arrival! Just to put into context we shortened our stay elsewhere last 2 years - booked through different company- due to facilities. We stayed the whole week here and loved it. Central to lots of great days out: Birdland, Burford Wildlife and Gardens, Broadway Tower, GWSR steam railway and some Father Brown locations! Recommend The Fox Inn, Broadwell for Sunday lunch - booking a must!

We had a lovely week’s stay.

The cottage was lovely and cosy and was located in a perfect location in Bourton-on-the-Water as the main centre was only a 10 minutes walk and all nearby villages was only a short drive away, especially Stow-on-the-Wolds. There is a dripping tap in the kitchen which was annoying at times and would have also been useful if there was a dishwasher, although the kitchen is small so we understand why there wasn’t one. The bedrooms were of a good size but the pillows could have been more firmer. Also anyone bringing their fire stick to plug into the tv, be aware to bring the extender as the hdmi port is very narrow but thanks to Amazon we managed to order one! Other than that we had a fab stay and would recommend the cottage to use as a base to explore the Cotswolds.

The house is cosy and has everything we need. But it would be better if there could be some hangers in the bathroom for bath towels and clothes.

So clean, comfortable and had everything we needed! The Prosecco was such a lovely extra! It is beautifully decorated inside and out, the cottage was so close to amenities and was perfect for us! Couldn’t recommend this place more!

The house was very clean, well maintained and well equipped for our stay in Bourton on the Water. Small garden with outdoor seating and tables but due to the weather we weren't able to take advantage of these. Good location to walk into the centre of Bourton on the water. We would happily stay there again and have no hesitation to recommend it to others.
