We were reassured by the details we were given on how the property would be cleaned and managed, and the advice from Sykes / Manor Cottages. On arrival we found that the cottage, apart from being very beautiful, well styled and equipped, was clean and care had been taken to prepare it safely. It’s a very peaceful and attractive village, with a handy little community shop & café, as well as the nearby pub. The loudest noise we could hear were horses being ridden down the lane! The garden of the cottage is utterly charming, we spent a lot of time sitting amongst the fruit trees and roses, watching birds, bees and butterflies. We heard owls at night, and the garden and wider area are great for stargazing. The housekeeper was in touch with us, and really rapidly responded when we had an issue with a blown fuse. We were welcomed to the cottage with a cake, some lovely local bread, snacks, butter, milk and jam, a super touch! We would heartily recommend Peartree Cottage.

The property

Pear Tree Cottage is a true Cotswolds gem.

A magnificent cottage, surrounded by a beautiful garden and enjoying a lovely view towards the village church in the distance.

Then you've got one of the best pubs in the region about 100 yards away!

Heavenly!!!

Then you've got some perfect walks right from your front door - in fact you've got something to please everyone here which makes this a perfect choice for a break, for friends, family or a couple.A detached property, Pear Tree Cottage has undergone some loving improvements recently and whilst the finished cottage is simply gorgeous, all the main period features remain at the heart of the building.

Inglenook fireplace, beams, and mullion windows are mixed with top notch furnishings to create a feel of luxury.

The bedrooms are handsome and welcoming, the bathroom fresh and quirky, while downstairs the Living Room is classy and romantic.

If you haven't worked it out yet - we love this place and are sure you will too.

An excellent choice indeed.
