Description

Tucked away on a working farm in the peaceful surroundings of Arlingham near Frampton on Severn, Gloucestershire, discover this magnificent Grade II listed Elizabethan manor house, Wick Court.

Brimming with original features and an abundance of character throughout, Wick Court welcomes a total of forty guests to bask in the ultimate escape to the countryside.

After unloading your personal belongings in the off-road parking spot, make your way through the enclosed courtyard to your new home-from-home, to be instantly impressed by the flagstone flooring, exposed beams and decorative wall features; discover a large kitchen/diner where the whole family can prepare, cook and enjoy meals altogether in front of a magnificently-sized woodburning stove.

Kick back and relax in the homely sitting room, once again complete with a woodburning stove so you and your loved one can cosy up as you plan for the exciting days ahead.

If you begin to feel sleepy, wind down for the day in one of three bathroom or shower rooms, or alternatively make use of the handy en-suites that service each bedroom, indulging a long soak before completing your evening routine.

Choose from one of six bedrooms, including two twins, one residing on the ground floor, two family rooms each with four bunk beds, and an additional two family rooms, each with five bunk beds; perfect for large familial groups.

Completing the property is a second-floor library/classroom, adorned with plenty of books, seating and games so the younger members of your group will never get bored!

If you can tear yourself away, begin your day with a relaxing stroll along the River Severn before stopping off at WWT Slimbridge, a wetland wildlife reserve where you can experience a fabulous range of birdlife including Bewick’s swans, white-fronted geese, lapwing and curlew.

In Frampton on Severn, you’ll also find your nearest shop and pub, so you can stock up on all the self-catering essentials required to rustle up a feast or enjoy some hearty grub on the days you don’t feel like cooking!

Further afield, journey to the city of Gloucester, home to Robinswood Hill Country Park, National Waterways Museum, Barnwood Park and Aboretum and of course, Gloucester Cathedral.

Traverse the Cotswolds AONB which resides only a short drive from the property, to find Painswick Rococo Garden, Museum in the Park and Selsey Common, boasting stunning views of the rolling hills and natural landscape.

However you choose to while away the days, do it from the impressive base of Wick Court.
