“Very disappointed with cleanliness.”

The main bathroom was filthy and the kitchen had areas of dirt and grime. Overall we had a lovely stay but the cleaning needs to be addressed. The decking is very slippery in the frost. Maybe some mats would help.

“This was a very spacious property with lovely big windows giving massive views over the countryside and situated in beautifully landscaped courtyard gardens with spacious outdoor seating both front and back.”

Inside the property was well equipped with a superb kitchen and impressive bathrooms. There is underfloor heating throughout, which was very effective and, particularly impressive in the kitchen was the Bora Induction Hob. Parking available right outside the property so easy access for unpacking and packing the car. We liked the rural setting and yet the property is perfectly located for accessing local places such as Bath, Tetbury, Cirencester and Malmesbury . We are already planning to return.

“Seagry Barn is a beautiful house and is in a great location - very central for exploring lots of the surrounding areas!”

A few things that would’ve made our stay even better… the cutlery and plates weren’t very clean, we had to wash everything before we used it. The house could definitely do with some fans for the summer months, the bedrooms get very, very hot. There are some in practicalities such as there being no bins apart from the one in the kitchen, and there’s no where to hang your towels.

Hello Emma, Many thanks for your feedback and the tips given to make it even better for future guests. We are pleased that you found the property beautiful and in a location you liked. I have already gone out and purchased fans on the back of your feedback along with bathroom bins. Hooks on doors for towels will go in once a space is available for me to go in with a drill and make a mess without upsetting the cleaners on a changeover ;-) I've also gone in and topped up the dish washer with rinse aid and salt which should help in keeping crockery and cutlery in good order. “The accommodation was very spacious and comfortable Unfortunately we booked during a heatwave and the building was very hot indeed And would benefit from fans or air-conditioning Definitely needs blackout curtains or blinds installed along with bins in bathrooms and hooks to hang towels Also needed is a bottle opener and ice cube tray in the kitchen.”

My daughter slept in the twin room upstairs and this was particularly warm with no blind or curtains Outside of these issues the venue and surrounding farmland is wonderful

Beautiful place, absolute immaculate and perfect for a family of 5. One word of caution with little ones and the stairs though. Amazing free range eggs for breakfast and lots to look at around the farm. Interesting surrounding areas too with Lacock, Tetbury, Cirencester. Great holiday. Thanks Martin and your family.

Malmesbury 5 Miles; Chippenham 6 miles

The small North Wiltshire village of Upper Seagry is found in superb countryside only five miles north of the bustling market town of Chippenham, and six miles from the ancient town of Malmesbury. Close to the southern end of The Cotswolds, this rural location provides a great base from which to explore this fascinating area. There are ample footpaths and bridleways nearby, a visit to Malmesbury - with its 12th century Benedictine Abbey - is a must, whilst a trip to the Cotswold Water Park is a real treat. Westobirt Arboretum, with its extensive collection of trees and shrubs is not to be missed.
