“To start with the positives, the village is very quaint and quiet and the distance to Bath was very convenient.”
The local farms shops were not far at all and well worth a visit. The town also has a shop with is a pleasant walk away. The property itself was furnished to a good standard, and had most amenities that you could need (dishwasher
washing machine etc). Upstairs boasted some lovely views over the fields.
However it was not really as well maintained, nor as comfortable as we had hoped. My wife has asthma, and we found cob webs and dust all over the cottage, which really had a negative impact on the first few days of the stay. The bed was also quite uncomfortable. After we left a message, the owner did provide an extra duvet for comfort when we were out a few days later, but didn't actually make the effort to answer our calls or communicate with us in any way.
Overall, the cottage has a lot of potential and the area is beautiful, but it just needs more attention.
