“The information folder about the cottage needs to be updated.”

    ...

    1. it lacks enough information about the surrounding area i.e. things to do , places to visit ect 2. the tv system. said to turn on tv ok then make sure the sky box is displaying a green light , there is NO sky box just freeview via the ariel. ok 3. no information about the underfloor heating or how to turn on the radiator in the bathroom. after some investigating I discover you have to remove the front cover of the boiler and flick a switch 4. could not contact anyone NO PHONE SIGNAL IN THAT AREA. 5. NOT really suitable for winter time, too many draughts around door and windows. 6. the cottage needs sealing better to prevent wood lice getting in. 7. could benefit with a washing machine.

The property

Stable Cottage has the fortune of being situated in one of the most unique, picturesque and pretty villages in the Cotswolds - Castle Combe.

They really don't come much better than this - even in the poor rain!

Tucked down a very quiet lane that is just off the village 'centre' and no more than 40 seconds from two country pubs, this little beauty is gem of a holiday retreat.

Inside the cottage is open plan and furnished in a simple attractive style the kitchen is well equipped and modern, the living area very comfortable and warm and bedroom has large comfortable bed.

It may be simple but it is lovely and very charming.

Formerly a 17th Century stable, this barn has been carefully converted and yet retains all the character and feel of the original building, including a massive oak beam between the lounge and bedroom, the vaulted ceiling and thick stone walls. As you would expect in a village as beautiful as this, there are endless walks in all directions, and as well as the pubs there is also a tried and tested tea room which serves a classic afternoon tea!

Without doubt a classic country cottage, at an attractive price, but in the finest village in the area.

This is a must see village!
