“There is no sincerer love than the love of food.” So wrote George Bernard Shaw and here is what we say at Manor Cottages!

We all like to indulge from time to time and food is a wonderful way of bringing family and friends and loved ones together, especially at holiday time.

Writing a blog about food in the Cotswolds however is a bit like trying to stuff a whole cake into a sandwich bag! There are just so many brilliant places to mention. Delightful tea shops and cafes abound, many award winning chefs are now well-established in the Cotswolds and a host of food festivals bring the foodies together throughout the year.

From a self-catering point of view, the region is spoilt for choice, with top class producers of a whole range of delicious foods dotted around in our historic towns and villages. Offering an enormous selection of traditional ingredients and fresh produce, these specialists make the Cotswolds the place to go for a foodie break. Here are just a handful of ideas to get you thinking (and your mouth watering)….
