The 25th June will be a big day in Kemerton. This is when the village is going to launch its first ever Country Show and Fair. Judging by the available information online, it should be a memorable event. If you are anywhere in the Cotswolds on the day you should definitely pay it a visit.

The idea behind the Kemerton Country Show is to raise some much needed funds for the Victoria Hall, which is the main village hall in the area. The idea is to raise enough to maintain and improve the heating and other parts of the hall that are in need of some TLC.

The day itself has been planned as a big day out for everyone in the family. But whoever you might be on holiday with while you are exploring the Cotswolds, you can certainly look forward to dropping by. You may even decide to take part in some of the activities, and there are plenty of them to appreciate too.

There will be a puppet theatre for the kids to enjoy (and probably the adults too), and falconry displays will also be taking place. There’s no need to worry if you get peckish because you will be able to explore the mini food market and perhaps grab a bite to eat and something to drink as well. There will be plenty of places to just sit back and watch the goings on as you decide where to go next and what to do.

Kemerton itself is not that far from Tewkesbury. It is situated a short distance to the south west of Evesham and is also quite near to other well known spots in the Cotswolds such as Broadway. As you can see it doesn’t matter whereabouts in the Cotswolds you happen to be staying. You are bound to be relatively close to Kemerton and its Country Show and Fair when it takes place. Since it is on a Saturday it won’t matter whether you’re in the Cotswolds for a week long self catering holiday or just for a long weekend. You can always enjoy the time you have there and come along to see what is going on.

The gates open at noon and from then on there will be lots to see and do. Two dog shows are due to start from 1.45pm onwards, so they will provide plenty of fun and games to watch. The falconry display takes place both before and after the dog shows so you will have two chances to see it. You can also take part in a raffle and hopefully be in with a chance to win some amazing prizes.

Whatever you are doing in the Cotswolds on Saturday 25th June, make sure you go along and lend your support to the Country Show and Fair. There is plenty to entertain you and you’ll have a wonderful time without a doubt. More information is available on their website.
