Spring has sprung, temperatures are rising, bluebells are out in all of the woods and forests in the Cotswolds and you want to spend more time outdoors… it must be May, then.

These wonderful places in the Cotswolds are some of the very best to go if you want to see those beautiful bluebells in full flower.

Dover’s Hill in Chipping Campden is the natural amphitheatre of the Cotswolds, with views overlooking the Vale of Evesham. It is known far and wide as the setting for the annual Cotswold Olimpick Games which most years are held in the first weekend of June. But the rest of the year, Dover’s Hill is known and loved by walkers, ramblers, runners and families just out to play.

The steep (but not too steep) hill lends itself to all sorts of play of the rolling variety, the views are breathtaking no matter the weather and dogs love the open fields almost as much as the sheep. In bluebell season you will find the flowers in the woods at the foot of the hill.

Dover’s Hill is picture perfect any time of year, and worth a visit by locals, visitors and tourists alike.
