Stable Cottage is a traditional cottage situated in one of the most unique villages in the Cotswolds - Castle Combe. The holiday cottage, situated on a quiet lane and accessed via a little arch, is an absolute must for anyone wishing to sample this charming and totally unspoilt village. As you would expect there are a couple traditional pubs located moments away around the village squareand a wonderful tearoom. Once a stable, this conversion, retains all the character and feel of the original building, which dates from the 17th century including massive oak beam between the lounge and bedroom, the vaulted ceiling and thick stone walls. Without doubt a cottage of appeal in the finest village in the area. A must see village!

Stable door to open plan Living / Kitchen / Dining Room, all looking towards the beautiful village church
Kitchen well fitted with electric hob and oven, microwave, dishwasher and large fridge. Washing machine facilities available by arrangement
Living Area with sofa and chair and TV, video and DVD, with table and three chairs for dining.
Archway to Double Bedroom, with standard double bed and wardrobe.
Spacious Shower Room with free-standing power shower, fitted vanity unit, WC & hand-basin.
Under floor central heating and electricity included. Off street parking for one car.
One well behaved pet by prior arrangement. Sorry No Cot or High Chair supplied. Saturday Changeover preferred during high season please.
Local Information
When we visited this property, it was the most perfect of days (as you can see by the pictures!) and we saw a truly tranquil scene of enjoyment around the village. Activities nearby include the village of Castle Combe (said to be the prettiest in England), the historic cities of Bath and Bristol, and the glorious Cotswold Hills and other locations include Badminton, Dyrham Park, Stourhead, Longleat House & Safari Park, Glastonbury, Wells, Lacock Village. Local Inn serving good food and gourmet restaurant two minutes walk. Castle Combe Golf Course one mile. Superb country walks from your doorstep.
As some of you may be aware Castle Combe is often used for filming! The most recent example was for Steven Spielberg's blockbuster 'War Horse'.
