Delightful garden to the rear, overlooking fields. There is a table and chairs for those sun downers(!) A very peaceful spot from which to enjoy the village and countryside.

Local Information
Asthall is one of the most desirable villages within the Oxfordshire Cotswolds. It has a long history dating back to the Roman times, when it was on the original 'Akeman Street' - the road which linked Cirencester to St Albans in the Roman era. In more recent times it become famous when the Mitford sisters moved to the Elizabethan manor in the village. It was in the village that Nancy wrote 'Love in a Cold Climate' (she is buried in the churchyard at nearby Swinbrook).
The village is in the Windrush Valley is approximately 2 miles from Burford. It is very convenient for Oxford and is an excellent base from which to tour the Cotswolds' region. Popular locations such as Stow on the Wold, Bourton on the Water and Cirencester are all within a short drive. There is a pub in the village, called the Maytime Inn, with another excellent pub (The Swan) in the next village of Swinbrook. For your daily provisions you can travel to Burford or to the bigger market twon of Witney (5 mins away)
