Pheasant Cottage is a fabulous cottage set in the gorgeous Cotswold village of Old Minster Lovell. Previously a single storey barn, the property has been converted to provide a very comfortable standard of self catering accommodation ideal for a family or group friends who are looking for a quaint and peaceful setting. Located up a little gravel track and surrounded by open fields in three directions as you can imagine there are lovely views to enjoy - particularly from your terrace area which is real sun trap. For those who want to sit and sample some quintessential English scenes you can either stroll to the village cricket pitch (a safe distance away!) or the delightful and popular Swan pub. For the more active there are excellent walks directly from your door including the Old Minster Lovell Hall (English Heritage). A very well located holiday cottage in one of the Cotswolds most beautiful villages.

Oxford, Burford, Stow on the Wold and Woodstock with Blenheim Palace are all within easy driving distance. We say this cottage is ideal for visitors who wish to be rural but not isolated. The cottage has a good size garden with two large patio areas for eating out or just catching the sun! (Please note that while the property is 'on one level' we feel the cottage is suitable for those people who have basic mobility movement, owing to the presence of gravel and steps at the entrance).

Location
Old Minster Lovell is a quiet village set within and overlooking the River Windrush valley. The river itself winds through the edge of the village, which is most notable for its historic ruins The Minster Lovell Hall which sits on the edge of the river. The village has a fabulous pub, with one more further up the hill in the 'new' part of Minster. The look of the old village is typically Cotswolds with many rows of stone buildings and Cotswold cottages along with some thatched houses. In spring and summer the look and feel is beautifully English! The market town of Witney, with many shops and supermarkets etc, is about 2 miles away with Oxford, Burford, Stow on the Wold and Woodstock with Blenheim Palace all within a short and easy driving distance.
