Local Information

Leafield is one of the highest villages in the Cotswolds, which is why the church spire of St. Michael's can be seen for miles. Leafield, situated in the Wychwood Forest, was once the royal hunting forest, part of which still survives as a National Nature Reserve. Leafield was also once a centre for pottery production, a legacy celebrated in the Potters of Port Street guide.

In the village are the Leafield Village Stores, a local community shop, sells groceries, newspapers, and freshly baked bread and pastries, as well as a range of local food and drink. There is a good traditional pub called The Fox. Leafield is well located for all of the Oxfrodshire Cotswolds locations and attractions, with Burford, Witney, Chipping Norton all very nearby.
