The Coach House is a very spacious and attractive Cotswold holiday cottage. Set in the grounds of one of the finest houses in this village, the cottage has been beautifully restored creating an enchanting self catering holiday home that's as ideal for four as it is for two. It retains many period features with many appealing touches of flair throughout. Internally the vast living space has cream washed walls, oak flooring and beams, plus a lovely open fire. Externally the village of Swinbrook is one of the Cotswolds' finest (and desirable) with many classic Cotswolds' houses and, best of all, a truly brilliant pub, The Swan. There are many walks from your front door, including one along the Windrush Valley to Burford. This is excellent location and excellent cottage.

Local Information

The Old Coach House is set in Swinbrook, a very pretty and very well known Cotswolds village, which even though it has a degree of notoriety has remain almost completely untouched. It sits on the River Windrush and is about a 30 minute walk from the everpopular Cotswold town of Burford.

Swinbrook is perhaps best known for its association with the Mitford sisters who lived here in the 1930's and beyond. Today the village has an excellent pub called The Swan which sits on the Windrush and serves high quality food. As if to complete the classic Cotswolds village scene there is a cricket pitch too! Oxford and Cheltenham are approx 20 and 30 mins away respectively. All in all you'll be hard pressed to find a more stunning location!
