Property Information

Big Stalls is a simply stunning barn conversion! This delightful holiday cottage enjoys an attractive rural situation, surrounded by fields on a working farm within a gorgeous spot of the Southern Cotswolds. Internally the property has undergone a painstaking and complete refurbishment to provide the highest quality in self catering accommodation. No detail has been left with the result a truly superb holiday cottage that is sure to satisfy the most demanding of tastes. The barn is located in a quiet spot amongst fields on the edge of the village of Kemble, a traditional Cotswold village well located for touring the entire Cotswold region. The cottage combines the traditional Cotswold charm of open ceilings, exposed beams with comfortable contemporary furnishings. Light and airy in Summer; cosy and warm in Winter, Big Stalls offers the best of a peaceful rural retreat with excellent access. The village itself has a small shop and also the benefit of a train station with direct links to London. This has to be one of our finest holiday cottages.

Local Information

Kemble is working village located approximately 5 miles south of Cirencester, itself known as the Capital of the Cotswolds. The village is very traditional in its look and appeal with many Cotswold cottages and similar stone buildings, including a good local pub and village store. The village is surrounded by attractive coutryside along with many more pretty villages including Ewen which has an excellent pub called The Wild Duck, a favourite with us here in Manor Cottages!

Kemble, which is on the mainline from London Paddington, has a small airfield which is used for very light aircraft, but once a year in June it hosts the Cotswold Airshow a celebration of vintage planes. A great weekend event. Cirencester has a wealth of shops and attractions to choose from and really is a traditional Cotswolds town. Although located in the southern Cotswolds, most of the regions popular destinations are no more than 25 mins drive away, while for the more adventurous Bath is roughly 45 minutes away.
