The cottage is part of what was once the local school, and retains many character features inside. Outside, there are lovely views across the countryside and village and a secluded sitting area. A truly wonderful part of the Cotswolds!

Local Information
Lyneham (not to be confused with the RAF base!) is a sweet little hamlet located in some of the finest Cotswolds countryside. A truly wonderful part of the Cotswolds, Lyneham is well located for visiting many of the regions' attractions and villages including Burford, Stow on the Wold and Blenheim Palace at Woodstock. Two villages of particular note are Kingham and Bledington which are about 3 miles away are well worth a vist, if only to use the excellent pubs in each!
Although the village does not have a pub, there is a friendly and welcoming golf club approximately a 15 min walk away which welcomes non playing guests for food and drinks. (The course is described as 'well groomed and one which challenges the best golfers.... it has a lovely clubhouse with breathtaking views of the Oxfordshire Cotswolds.') The popular towns of Stratford upon Avon and Oxford are also within easy driving distance. (Charlbury station is a short drive away with trains to Oxford, London, Hereford and Worcester.)
