The Finances and the Agreement
At Manor Cottages we want to keep things as easy as possible and we believe that this is the case with regards to our agreement and financial payments.
Our Agreement
Our standard Terms and Conditions are very straightforward, we hope! Essentially you will be promoting your cottage(s) with Manor Cottages who will be your main marketing agency. If you decide to promote your cottage elsewhere, history has taught us that problems will probably present themselves - particularly double bookings which will disappoint customers and also damage our reputation.
There is no limit, however, to private use all that we ask is that you advise us well in advance so that we can ‘block’ these dates out on our systems and also on the various websites that your cottage will be presented. There are of course some important elements to our agreement in terms of what we agree to do for you and vice versa, but such detail is better discussed face to face.
The Finances
We pay our owners towards the end of each month for holidays that have commenced in THAT month. So, for example this means that a holiday booking starting on any day during a month, say May, will be paid at the end of the month that the booking started i.e. you get paid in MAY. We don’t pay months in advance because we are required to provide security for the incoming customer, while equally we don’t send any customers to your cottage without having received 100% of the rental fee!
Owners receive payment ideally via a BACS transfer wherever possible, however if you prefer we can pay by cheque. You will also receive a monthly statement which details your income for the current month. We are also able to produce an annual statement to help in the completion of your Tax Return.
