The Old Reading Room, Bledington is a delightful country retreat set in the heart of this lovely (and desirable!) village. The cottage has been lovingly restored to a very high specification from what was originally the reading and music room for local villagers! It provides spacious and welcoming self catering accommodation set across two floors with many traditional features evident, including exposed walls, open fire and beams. Externally the property has its own seating area plus access to a delightful cottage garden. This Cotswold Cottage is situated in the heart of Bledington, a classic and traditional Cotswold village with quintessential village green, a delightful stream with ducks plus the renowned Kings Head pub which is revered for its food and warm Cotswold welcome. ACCOMMODATION
Entrance through to Kitchen / Dining Room
Kitchen, well equipped with granite-style breakfast bar with leather chairs, electric oven, gas hob, dishwasher, washing machine, microwave and fridge and freezer. Table and chairs.
Sitting Room with open fire (initial supply of logs and kindling provided), large sofa and built in cupboard with widescreen TV with DVD. This room also has an entrance door.
Stairs leading to First Floor
Galleried Bedroom with 4' 6"double bed and view towards the garden, plus Ensuite Shower Room with shower cubicle, wash basin and WC.

A favourite with hikers, Bledington is a delightful village with a large green at the centre heavily patrolled by a fleet of ducks! Four miles from Stow-on-the-Wold, and a short walk from Kingham station, Bledington makes a good stop-off enroute to Stow or Bourton-on-the-Water and the award winning Kings Head Inn is an ideal place for a drink and some food. Burford, Chipping Norton and Chipping Campden are all within an easy drive. Slightly further afield are Oxford, Stratford upon Avon and Bath, but all are easy day trips for the more adventurous.
